I searched for a rent car, filled out some informations needed. They send me an email, so I thought that was already the confirmation. I was complacent about the booking, when my girlfriend and I went there, to pick up the unit we thought we "are about to rent" the staff said, there is no car available today. So, she called someone and asked if there will be available unit next day and they said to us that they would have one. Then, she asked my mobile number and promised to send me a message within that day. Unfortunately, the day have passed without any single word from them. We had a bad experience with this company, the staff wasn't accommodating, not pleasant with their customers, looks rude and no greetings at all (frowny face). Never again with this rent a car company ever again. Customer service is really bad. They're not good in attaining what their customer needs.
Me and my friend tried to rent a car for two days with week ahead of time but then because of weather problems we rescheduled it via phone call with a worker from Monday to Friday and he said it is fine(!). Then on Friday, we wanted to get keys to a car from the office, they said that the reservation is visible but not in system and no car is available... After some talking they got us an Uber to a different rental firm (IberoCar) that they cooperate with. After we arrived with Uber and went into an IberoCar's office, the boss didn't know anything about our situation so we got into a weird situation and we had to explain to him everything.... - we wasted 1.5 hours to get a car that we had a reservation for.. In addition to that! Madlobos said that we will pay in IberoCar the same price with ESN card discount but no, the boss of IberoCar also didn't know about it so we payed different price. I don't recommend this company whatsoever. Poor case resolving
Very friendly staff! We rented two cars for one day, so it was perfect! Always responding, no lies. We saw a few minuses, but we aren’t picky, so they didn’t bother us, but I will share them just in case people get too salty. - change of location. Wanted the car at the airport but received it in the city centre. - dirty on the inside. - no liquid for the windows ( washing ) Also the cars didn’t have radios which was a bit weird. Anyway, we got the Fiat Panda and it was great! I recommend this place and will be back for sure :)
Amazing service and communication. Rented an Automatic Car and when I inquired if I could get the car earlier they went out of their way to source a car from a neighbouring rental agency at the same cost. Provided pick up and drop of service which was an added bonus when travelling with my family of 4. Great communication, having the toll booth transponder is a must if venturing outside the city, and their one price all inclusive with insurance is hard to beat. Highly recommend to anyone.
Excellent services and Very professional team. Easy to coordinate via WhatApp and always available to take the calls. We received automatic transmission car on booking 24hours prior and received car at hotel door steps in the centro of Porto close to their main office in Porto. Car was in excellent condition and only 3K drive (almost brand new). We paid car hire fees during the receiving of car and the company arranged drop off services from the assigned location to our hotel at their expenses . I highly recommend to use their services when in Porto! Deserve 5*
Reliable and direct - we rented a car for a day. No hidden fees and no deposits - we paid the same price as shown on the website. The staff was nice and helpful, explained everything. The car did have some cosmetic damage, but everything was shown to us before the pick up. The pick up only took 15 minutes and drop off only took 1 minute. The cars have the Via Verde transponder inside too. Would definitely recommend.
I booked the car directly in their shop (rua Santa Catarina), the team was helpful, deal in line with selling arguments, easy process and the car was ready for the day after. I was a bit scared as I did not know what to expect for the price but the car was top (recent Seat Ibiza). The car as clean and we have been able to give it back very late (23h). I recommend. (I rented end of October 2022).
The customer experience was good. The staff was really nice and the process was smooth, not fast but ok. The proposition (no deposit, only one payment to make, no extras...) is respected and it is great. But our main problem was the car and obviously when you rent a car it is the main thing! We were given a car which obviously had been in some kind of accident. So we assumed it was ok and purely an aesthetic problem but once on the road we realised it was more than that. Luckily we mostly stayed on the highway. But the few times we were in town the car made a horrible metallic noise on the cobbled streets and even worse every time we had to maneuver to park. We didn't really feel at ease with this car. It's a shame because we loved the proposal and the reception but after that, we will not recommend this agency to our friends.

Location de voiture très facile et très rapide, Nous sommes passés la veille pour une location pour le lendemain ( location pour une journée, visite de la vallée du Douro) Nous avons avancé 50 pour les péages (télépéage), remboursement effectué 15 jours après de la somme que nous navons pas dépensé en péage !

Paolo is very nice! No hassle and quick! In 10 minutes, we rented a car for 2 days, so as not to only stay in Porto and to see the Douro Valley and go up to the North. I recommend.

My experience was just perfect. Price and customer service was perfect. Car was excellent for its class.
They are nice people but this is unfortunately an unreliable company. I arrived at 8:30 to pick up a rental I had booked online 2 days prior (and received confirmation for via email) but no one was at this office. I contacted them via WhatsApp and was told they would send an Uber to drive me to their other office to pick up a car. I was told this would take 10 minutes in total but took 45 instead. There was another group that arrived at the office in the meantime, also with a reservation for that day but were unable to fulfill it. This took over an hour of my morning and I was only given 10 euro in compensation.
El chico nos atendió sin reserva y el mismo día organizó todo para que en cuestión de media hora tuviésemos un coche a nuestra disposición. También hizo los trámites necesarios para no tener que movernos de oficina, ya que la de oporto no contaba con vehículos disponibles. De modo que nos lo trajeron desde la otra entidad vecina. El precio es razonable y el factor humano muy profesional.

This is the best car rental experience I ve had! They are so helpful, allowed me to pick up the car early and drop it off late and we re available via WhatsApp throughout the day. They are very honest and kind! I never leave reviews about anything and had such a great experience with them!
Went online to make a reservation (for the next day). They called me back not too long after to confirm. They sent a car (like an Uber) to pick up our family and bring us to their business. Paperwork took just a few minutes, and we were on our way! Rented a small manual (Fiat Panda), and it had plenty of power to ride the highways to some local destinations. No problems on pickup, during the drive, or the return. Couldnt have gone smoother, really. Thank you!

Terrible service. I made reservation for a fiat panda and instead of letting me know they didnt have a car available, they just left the automatic email saying it was waiting for confirmation. I had to call on the day of pick-up to find out they had no car available
Special thanks to this amazing company which made out roadtrip in Portugal special! We will definitely choose them again next time well visit Porto. Professional, friendly, extremely helpful, and kind. Excellent service.
HORRIBLE!!! Malheureusement je n ai pas suivi les quelques conseils et avis de certains ici, mais pour les prochains qui me liront: FUYEZ! D abord à l agence au centre de Porto après toutes les formalités qui prennent 20mn, on nous annonce qu un uber nous emmène dans une autre agence « plus loin » car la voiture de location s y trouve (bien sûr on vous le dit qu après toutes les procédures et pas dès votre arrivée). Après 25mn de trajet, le uber nous dépose dans une zone industrielle fermée par une barrière dans laquelle on doit trouver par nous-mêmes l agence à pied qui se trouve à l autre bout de la zone à environ 1km. Sur place, ce n est plus l agence Madlobos mais Iberocar. On refait les mêmes procédures qu à la 1re agence pendant 20mn avec une employée aussi aimable qu une porte de prison. On nous annonce que le véhicule devra être ramené à cette même agence: hors de question! Si nous avons choisi l agence au centre de Porto c est parce que notre location airbnb se trouve à 2 pas, pratique pour ramener le véhicule. L employée ne veut pas mais fini par céder. Elle nous demande de payer l acompte plus un dépôt de garantie de 50 , idéalement en carte bancaire. Nous refusons car il est mentionné partout sur leur site que tout se fait sans carte de crédit. Elle nous dit qu au retour du véhicule, les 50 nous serons rendu par virement bancaire la semaine suivante, nous refusons. Au bout du compte on nous demande notre IBAN sinon pas de voiture. C est la goutte de trop et décidons de laisser tomber la location. On réclame qu un Uber vienne nous récupérer pour nous ramener à l agence Madlobos au centre de Porto. Après 30mn d attente en plein soleil à l entrée de la zone industrielle le uber nous récupère et nous dépose dans le centre de Porto, mais loin de l agence. Au final nous avons perdu près de 3h! Madlobos: compagnie MALHONNÊTE A ÉVITER!!!
Scandaleux !!! Ne mérite même pas une étoile ! On loue une voiture dans cette agence au centre de Porto par commodités géographiques! Arrivés sur place l employée, bien peu chaleureuse nous indique qu on va nous transporter ailleurs sans explication car la voiture n est pas là! Ça commence bien et ça traduit le sérieux de la boîte ! On arrive à une autre agence (mais pas la même enseigne) après 25 de route et là, une employée qui a oublié les notions d accueil elle aussi nous propose une voiture à ramener dans son agence! Une grande mascarade, cela n a jamais été indiqué dans leurs conditions générales. Qui accepterait de louer un véhicule dans une autre agence que celle par qui la réservation a été effectuée et de la ramener également ailleurs?!!! Un scandale, madlobos est une agence malhonnête et prend clairement ses clients pour des pigeons en demandant au bout du compte une carte de crédit ou un IBAN!
Une étoile de trop pour cette agence qui est à fuir ! Très mauvais service et sont très menteur ! Une fois que les papiers sont remplis on vous dit que la voiture ne se trouve pas sur place et vous devez aller la chercher à un autre endroit! Ne surtout pas aller chez eux! On doit me virer ma caution sur mon compte, on ne vous les rend pas de suite! ,attention à vos sous!
Nachdem wir am Flughafen keinen Erfolg hatten, ein Auto zu bekommen sind wir zufällig an dem Büro vorbeigekommen. Wir wurden sofort und sehr freundlich empfangen und erhielten ein Angebot für ein Mietauto (ohne Kreditkarte!). Die weitere Abwicklung war sehr unkompliziert, es wurde uns alles detailliert und nachvollziehbar erklärt und wir konnten zwei Tage später mit dem reservierten Auto weiter reisen. Der Service war wirklich sehr toll und wir würden jederzeit wieder ein Auto dort mieten. Vielen Dank!!:)

A company based on a fraudulent system. The cars are not on site, you have to take an Uber and a 30-minute journey to finally rent them from another agency. A shame. GO YOUR WAY!

They were all incredibly kind! They were really quick and responsive in the office and Carlos helped us get to the bus station and was just so friendly and nice. Would 100% recommend!

Friendly staff, efficient, arranged small rental for me next day on a Sunday, fraction of cost of Herz, airport drop off was super helpful, they even gave me tips for avoiding hwy tolls. when previous customer was late returning the car they offered me a discount and sent a car to take me to another rental company & arranged everything for me.
We rented a car from Madlobos two years ago. Since then, we have been receiving fines from different locations in Portugal, from dates when we werent even there! Absolute extortion of money from customers! After the first fine, when we contacted the rental company, we heard apologies and a promise that the situation would never repeat. But now the fines keep coming with an increased amount!!! Madlobos, have some honor Alugámos um carro da Madlobos há dois anos. Desde então, temos recebido multas de diferentes locais em Portugal, de datas em que nem sequer lá estávamos! Extorsão absoluta de dinheiro dos clientes! Após a primeira multa, quando contactámos a empresa de aluguer, ouvimos desculpas e uma promessa de que a situação nunca se repetiria. Mas agora as multas continuam a chegar com um valor aumentado!!! Madlobos, tenham honra!

Due to the car accident, we did not get a replacement vehicle for two days, however they charged us the full price and gave us the car with an empty tank. After contacting them for months, we still haven t got our 150 back as they promised and even showed us the fake documents of money transaction made. It seems the only time they want to answer is when I give them a bad review on google.

Found this place randomly, after two big companies had no free cars for us. Very kind personnel, nice prices with no hidden conditions and full coverage. Car was a bit damaged, but I had no issue with that. Very nice experience compared to big rental companies. Can recommend.
I tried to book the car online, they have never answered to my email about the reservation. I went there the day before and the office was supposed to be opened but it was closed. I contacted them on whatsapp (the number is only visible over there). After a while they answered me saying that they couldnt confirm my reservation and they told me to call their partner for a car. I called that number and nobody could speak English or another language other than Portuguese. I tried to say something in Portuguese but then they hung up on me. Book your car elsewhere.
Terrible service. Booked a car online through Rentalcars and they cancelled the booking 1 day before. I was not informed and only found out when I called them to confirm the booking. When I complained they said they would see what they could do and call me back. They didn t. When I rang back, my call was ignored. I m still waiting for a refund Don t be fooled by cheaper prices and book with a more reliable company!
Everything perfect. We rented a car in Porto and returned it in Lisbon. Perfect communication and price. Very friendly. I will repeat without a doubt!
Une arnaque ! Ny allez surtout pas. On a réservé une voiture pour 8h30. Nous recevons un appel à 8h pour nous dire quil ny a pas de voiture disponible... Un Uber viendrais nous chercher pour nous emmener chez un locataire partenaire. On nous donne une mauvaise adresse, on se retrouve à lautre bout de Porto alors que nous devions aller simplement à laéroport. Au final on a eu de la chance car Iberocar la compagnie qui nous a pris en charge nous a fait le transfert jusquà laéroport et on a pu louer la voiture 2h plus tard. Tous cela se termine bien grâce à Iberocar qui sont super mais madlobos je déconseille à tout le monde. Si vous voulez ne pas perdre de temps pendant vos vacances payez 10 euro de plus mais prenez un bon service....

I rented a car in Porto in april. That was ok, although the small window was broken and fixed with plexiglas and tape. It went wrong with the payment. They charged me first with 50 euro s and said the payment did not went through. And then charged me with the full amount. Which I paid. After a couple of days I saw on my creditcard account that the payment of 50 euro s did came through. I texted Madlobos and they say they are going to pay me back. Since that time I texted several times. In the beginning they responded and said that the money was coming, but now they don t respond anymore. I did not receive the money. It really is disappointing and I did not expect this from them, because they were actually friendly.

Hallo! Diese Autovermietung ist leider NICHT (!) zu empfehlen! Wir reservierten ein Seat Ibiza für 8:00 Uhr, um einen schönen Tagesausflug nach Lissabon zu unternehmen. Als wir um 8:00 Uhr voller Vorfreude vor dem Büro standen, waren die Türen verschlossen. Wir warteten 45 Minuten, bis wir uns entschlossen, telefonisch nachzufragen, ob sich noch jemand blicken lässt. Am Telefon entschuldigte man sich und versicherte, in 5 Minuten vor Ort zu sein. Es dauerte leider ganze 20 Minuten, bis sich endlich jemand erbarmte, uns zu empfangen. Doch damit nicht genug: Nicht nur dass wir jetzt bereits knapp 90 Minuten warteten, nein unser reserviertes Auto war nicht mehr verfügbar. Ersatzweise bot man man uns einen kleinen Fiat Panda an, den wir dankend ablehnten und ohne Worte das Büro verlassen haben. Einfach nur schade. Umsonst im Urlaub früh aufgestanden und insgesamt zwei Stunden unseres Urlaubs vergeudet. Sehr, sehr enttäuschend, da der erste Eindruck bei Reservierung des Autos positiv war. Daher meine dringende Bitte: Meidet diese Autovermietung! Danke!
Ein Stern ist wirklich noch überbewertet! Wir hatten 2 Tage im Voraus persönlich ein Auto zu um 8 Uhr morgens reserviert. Standen dann allerdings vor verschlossener Tür. Als wir viertel vor 9 die Info Nummer anriefen, hieß es Sorry, in 5 min wird jemand da sein . Um kurz nach 9 kam dann endlich der Inhaber. Jedoch war das Auto, das wir reserviert hatten doch nicht verfügbar. Einfach nur peinlich und unprofessionell.

I am writing this review very late (this story happened in March 2022), but the bite has not yet gone down. I was in Porto for a short holiday and had booked, well in advance, a car to get to Nazaré. In the morning I went to pick up the car and found the office on Santa Catarina Street closed. I phoned, someone answered with embarrassment that it would arrive within five minutes. After about half an hour a person arrived and started phoning. After a while they tell me that the car was not available and that they had nothing more to offer. They proposed tomorrow, but we were going back to Italy tomorrow, it was not possible. Just not to lose the whole day in the office, I accepted the refund of what I had paid, but for this time Nazaré disappeared. Such a disservice had never happened to me. So be careful, if you book with them you risk being stranded. As far as I am concerned, forget it (but it still gnaws at me).

The first time we used this company, we had a good service, besides having to change the oil by ourselves it was ok. I rented the car a second time, again no oil, we had to take time from our holidays to find a place to check the oil, This happened a month ago and I am still waiting for a refund. After many calls, they do not reply to my calls, whatsapp or emails, the just disappeared.
I booked a car on the website for 9am and on the day I had to wait until around 10:15 till the office was open. Then it turned out that the car I booked is not available. If I could redo the booking, I would call the office directly to inquire about the car and the time to pick up. Booking via the website is not reliable. I ended up renting a car from a different rental company on the same street.

No volvería a alquilar en este lugar. Se aprovechan de los estudiantes y ofrecen un servicio lamentable. Les escribes y no te contestan, acuerdas ir a la oficina y está cerrada. Es muy dificil verles en la oficina. Además, una de las veces que contratamos el servicio, el coche no se presentó. Sin duda alguna no volvería, cero profesionalidad.
MY GIRLFRIEND AND RESERVED A CAR WEEKS IN ADVANCE AND THEN WHEN WE CALLED THE DAY BEFORE TO DOUBLE CHECK THEY TOLD US THEY NEVER CONFIRMED OUR RESERVATION AND THEY FORGOT TO EMAIL US. WHILE HAVING A HEATED DISCUSSION ON THE PHONE THE PERSON WITH THE AGENCY PROCEEDED TO YELL AT MY GIRLFRIEND SAYING THAT IT WASNT HIS PROBLEM AND THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO HELP US. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Nous avions réservé et reçu un mail de confirmation pour prendre une voiture le 03/08 à laéroport de Porto. Avant le départ, nayant pas reçu dinstructions pour récupérer la voiture, nous avons contacté le loueur qui nous a confirmé que tout était bon et que le lieu de rencontre se fait au niveau du Vodafone. Le jour darrivée, nous nous rendons au point de rencontre et après 15 min sans voir personne, nous décidons de rappeler Madlobos. Au téléphone, on nous explique que les personnes précédentes nont pas encore ramené la voiture, quils narrivent pas à les joindre et on nous propose de faire une autre réservation avec une entreprise partenaire. Nous acceptons et surprise, la nouvelle réservation est 60 plus chère. Madlobos ne veut pas prendre en charge la différence et nous dit soit vous acceptez, soit vous attendez à laéroport mais on ne sait pas quand la voiture sera disponible. Bien entendu, notre objectif nétait pas de passer nos vacances à laéroport et nous avons accepté. Grand prince, Madlobos nous a payé les 3min de Uber pour se rendre chez le nouveau loueur. Spoiler alert : Une navette gratuite passe toutes les 10-15 min et fait les allez-retour entre laéroport et le loueur Moralité : Un loueur peu professionnel, incapable de reconnaitre ses erreurs et de trouver des solutions convenables en cas de problèmes. Leur petite flotte de véhicules ne leur permet pas dêtre réactif en cas de soucis et bien entendu ce sont les clients qui le payent.
Highly unreliable and dishonest - I made a reservation two weeks in advance, received an email confirmation, but when we arrived to collect the car, it turned that they dont have any cars available, and they didnt bother to let me know. Next, they have forwarded our reservation to another company, but when we arrived there, it turned out the forwarded reservation was for three days instead of four, and the rental for four days would cost almost twice the price we were supposed to pay at Madlobos. The Madlobos representative suggested to give us a 120 euro refund to partially compensate for the price difference, but after I tried to contact them again to receive the refund they have promised, they simply ignored my messages and calls. In short - stay away! UPD five days after posting a review, here is the response they have sent me
Viajava para o porto dia 03 de Setembro, como viajava em família decidi ligar no dia 17 de Julho com muita antecedência para reservar uma carrinha. Só que me foi dito que tinham duas carrinhas e que não haveria qualquer problema. Só teria que enviar uma mensagem com o pedido e que posteriormente receberia uma confirmação por e-mail como sempre aconteceu. Como cliente habitual desta rent-a-car confiei na palavra deles e enviei a mensagem, dias depois voltei a questionar pela confirmação ao que me foi dito para não me preocupar pois estaria disponível na data que eu precisava. Muito resumidamente, continuei a insistir semanalmente pela confirmação, num dia era porque não estavam na loja, mas mal chegassem iriam fazer a reserva, outro dia era porque não estavam a par porque foi o colega mas que iriam ligar ao colega e depois ligavam-me. E andámos nisto até á última semana. Na última semana, segunda-feira iriam me confirmar mais uma vez, na terça pediram a mensagem que eu enviei no dia 17 de julho para não haver esquecimento. Na quarta já não consegui falar com eles e na quinta-feira de véspera dizem-me que devido ao Covid a frota reduziu e que as duas carrinhas estavam alugadas. Uma autêntica falta de respeito para comigo e com a minha família que ficou lesada com esta situação pois de véspera já não conseguimos alugar nada, pois não havia carrinhas disponíveis nas rent-a-car. Conclusão, estragaram as nossas férias, não foram honestos. Quando bastava dizer que não conseguiam antecipadamente, para que pudéssemos organizar a nossa vida. Perdi toda a minha confiança nesta rent-a-car e não aconselho ninguém a o fazer.
I don t often write reviews, but this car rental made me do it. Terrible customer experience. I m in contact with them (whatsapp messages and multiple phone calls) already for 3 days but they are not able to get back to me with a simple information if they have a car available or not, despite promising to do so.
Could not have asked for a better car rental service in Porto. Top customer focus and truly delivering the best service. Renting a car with Madlobos is easy, simple and without any hidden costs or small print details. My best recommendation.

Very bad experience. When we arrived, we did not get a car and had to move to another company down the street. They assured that our deposit would be returned but did not receive it. After many angry e-mail and angry calls, a local friend going to the company twice and having to adress them by lawyer, they returned our money after 7 months....
Everything is clear and fast. They will first offer the Yaris Toyota type. Look at the price, we added 5 and took a Toyota hybrid with 26,000 miles. The car is a bomb. The key can be dropped off at the store entrance into the mailbox. What is very convenient, I arrived at night, parked and threw off the keys. I recommend!

We made a reservation for 10:00, there was no one who spoke English properly, there was no car on time and we missed our appointment outside of the city. Very disappointing, lady that was supposed to help us completely ignored us. Later someone showed up to give us the car, that person actually spoke English, so in the end it worked out. Unfortunately too late for us. Two stars is the max I will give.
Ha sido una de las mejores experiencias de alquiler de coches, el personal es muy amable, te explica todo y te da todas las facilidades. No hay trampas como en otras compañías, todo está cubierto y sin franquicias ni engaños. Además la vuelta me hicieron el favor de acercarme a donde me hacía falta. Pedimos rentar un auto desde hace una semana, jamás nos avisaron si se confirmaba o no para buscar opciones en dado caso y nos dieron número de reserva, el día que era supuesto rentar el auto, nos dijeron que como no llego confirmación no teníamos auto, vaya forma de manejarse.

Amazing experience. Unlike other big car rental companies and typical horror stories, Madlobos provide a smooth and quality service. Great cars, no deposit and pick up in 5-10 min max. Very friendly staff, I didnt even need to take pictures of the car (insurance included) and they even allow you flexibility to extend the car hire without overcharging or coming back to the office. High quality car rent service - our experience was significantly different from the one offered by large companies. No funds blocked on credit card, full SCDW insurance, no hidden fees, express car drop off with no checks - just leave the keys inside (!). Definitely can recommend. Few things to improve: consultants English could be better, had to wait 0.5h for the car.
Eventhough we did not receive a booking confirmation, the team of Madlobos still organized a car for our trip on short notice. Very friendly and helpful people at Madlobos Office!

Servizio di noleggio auto che non richiede carta di credito o deposito cauzionale. Staff molto cortese e gentile. Nel caso vogliate noleggiare lauto e spostarvi oltre il confine di stato, per esempio per andare a Santiago De Compostela (Spagna) è doveroso comunicarlo presso lufficio.
Excelente preço, sem cauções ou cartões de crédito, um atendimento muito bom. recomendo e no coração do Porto que é óptimo.

We couldnt be happier with this company. I dont review very often but this company is worth it. We were upgraded and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a flat tyre they arranged the new tyre and repairs close to us. Having comprehensive insurance included in the price was an added bonus. Thank you to Carlos and his family.

Best costumer service Family run
To be honest, this is the worst customer service I ever experienced. First of all, we did not get the car we rented. At the day of the rental, the car was not available and we had to go to another rental service closeby. Luckily they still had a car and we were able to rent from the other company. Secondly, they told us that the cancellation would happen right away and that the money would never be deducted from our VISA, but unfortunately the money was deducted from our bank account. And last but not least, after 5 months of begging to refund us as soon as possible, we still didn t receive any refund. So I think you can imagine that we are really unsatisfied with this rental agency and we would definitely not recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I have hired cars from many different companies in Portugal. AVIS was the worst. But this company was the best. Madlobos is a family run business. I made a booking by phone and I think I spoke to the aunt or mom, the son or nephew met us at Porto airport arrivals, the uncle delivered the car. They just made the whole experience so pleasant and we will only use them in the future. The even provided a car seat free of charge.

Wil je een auto huren en weet je niet bij welke je moet zijn? Ga dan absoluut hier naartoe. Geen poespas, goede auto, erg vriendelijke mensen en je kan de auto heel flexibel terugbrengen. Wij dachten eerst: dit kan niet waar zijn zo makkelijk en goedkoop en dat zonder borg. Nou het kan zeker! Nog nooit zo makkelijk, flexibel, snel en goed een auto gehuurd. Dikke aanrader!! Een verassing voor ons en hopelijk ook voor vele na ons :).
Im used to standard big car-rental firms that make me feel like Im being nickel-and-dimed over every little thing. My experience with relatively smaller, local car-rental shops has usually been quite bad. But Madlobos was great, maybe the best car rental experience Ive had. Very quick and easy to reserve, check-out, and return. Will definitely book with them whenever I return to Portugal.

Very friendly service,very affordable prices,no deposit, no credit card needed and flexible schedule to give the car back. Cars are clean and do not have any problems. Pay attention to directly head to a gas station to fill the gas tank that is often almost empty when you first take the car ;) Also, better take oil/gas inside the cities as it is extremely expensive on the highways

Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ADD DAYS AND CHARGE/STEAL YOUR $ ON YOUR CARD ONCE YOU LEAVE. I have proof! I HAVE texted and called them 18th times and they promised Twice to send me back the illegal charge and never did. STAY AWAY. OH the 1st car was defective and they knew about it. Stay away.
