I rented an Atlantic siesta van with my girlfriend for a week, everything perfect, 24/7 support. The whole team was very kind and helpful, especially Monica from the rental point in Faro.

Très bonne expérience! Nous avons eu un Siesta Atlantic (T6) tout neuf (2000 km au compteur) pour notre famille (3 enfants) pour faire un aller retour sur la côte portugaise entre Porto et Cabo de São Vicente. Nous avons dormis à 4 dans le van, et notre ainé dans une tente à côté du van. Le check-in du van a été super, tout a bien été expliqué et nous avonsmême eu le droit à des fauteuils supplémentaires pour les enfants ! Merci ! . Le deuxième jour, nous avons cru que notre expérience #vanlife allait prendre fin. Dans une (très) grosse côte, le moteur sest arrêté plusieurs fois de suite (tous les 20 mètres) sans aucune raison... Une perte de puissance. Nous ne faisions pas les malins ! Après un appel au support, nous avons eu un mécanicien par whatsapp, très professionnel, merci à lui nous a demander de nous diriger vers un garage proche de notre lieu (à moins de 5 minutes) et chance, le van a redémarré et le garagiste a pu constater la panne (lié au gasoil) et remettre daplomb le van en quelques minutes. Léquipe a été très réactive ! Nous navons plus eu un seul problème jusquà la fin du parcours. Merci encore pour laccueil, les conseils et la bonne humeur de léquipe.

Great campervan, service needs improvement. We rented, for the second time, a campervan (VW California) for 3 weeks at Siesta Campers Porto. The reception and explanation on the pick-up day were great. On the 2nd day, a warning light (Oil level too high, visit workshop!) appeared on the dashboard. Contacted Siesta and they told me that most likely the light would be gone the next morning (cold engine). The next morning the light was gone, but the level on the dipstick was still over the maximum. I was adviced that, if the van was not driving weird, I could cotinue driving. A day later, on a Sunday, again a warning light. Reaction: there is no big problem. Advice: open and close the hood. If you wish, you can visit a garage on Monday if the light comes back on. I would have expected a more active approach from their side as in We will make an appointment at garage-x. Now, I had to spend valuable time finding a Portuguese garage. Luckily, the open/close the hood-procedure was affective, but still I think its a bad advice if the level is visibly way too high. Second point of improvement: we were given a gas-bottle that was not full. We were told: if you do not cook a four-course meal every day, you will make it. However during the 2nd week, we ran out of gas. We visited 6 addresses that were listed in a list that was mentionned in the rental agreement, but none of them sold the required gas bottle. I kept informing Siesta about our search, but the were not active in helping me to find an address that sold the right bottle. Finally, with the help of a local Bricomarché, employee, we found the right bottle at an address that was not listed in the list provided. This process costed us about half a day of our valuable time, the only reaction from Siesta was we are sorry for the inconvenience. I would have expected, especially after we had problems with the oil-level, a more generous offer (e.g. x-% discount on your next rental) from their side. Conclusion: great van, but once you are on the road and run into problems, you are more or less on your own. Finally, we advice Sieste to provide a water hose to fill up the reservoir, to provide level-blocks to get the camper at a (more) horizontal level as a lot of camper-sites are not level and give a (second) full gas bottle if there is a chance that the customer runs out of gas during the rental period.

Super expérience avec Siesta Campers ! Nous avons loué un van pour une semaine de Porto jusqu à Lisbonne, tout s est très bien passé. L équipe est accueillante et professionnelle, je recommande !

nous avons récupéré le van à Porto pour le laisser à Lisbonne, les 2 bureaux sont situés à proximité des aéroports, très bon accueil, van propre et équipé comme nous le souhaitions ( petit van california pour nous ), pas grand chose à signaler sur le van et le déroulement sans soucis de notre séjour, léquipe vous appelle ou est joignable facilement, au retour nous avons pû laisser nos bagages au bureau de Lisbonne pour profiter encore un moment de la ville et léquipe nous a appelé le taxi pour venir nous chercher sur place. Nous avons passé de bonnes vacances, merci à tous et à bientôt peut être.

Disponibile altrettanto sia nella fase iniziale di consegna e spiegazione del VAN che nella fase finale. Il VAN preso da me ha superato le mie aspettative (California) e mi ha permesso di girare lintero Portogallo senza nessun tipo di problema. Consigliato.

We rented a Siesta Atlantic from Siesta Campers in Porto for a week-long trip through Galicia and the Porto area. The service was top-notch friendly staff made everything easy. The car was in excellent condition, and the pricing was very reasonable. It made our travels comfortable and stress-free. Highly recommended!

What an amazing experience! Booking this trip, I was thinking it will be lots of fun, but now on hindsight I can share that it was an amazing experience with lovely new family memories made! We are all so glued to computer and mobile screens, but doing this trip as a family, allowed for great times spent together, cooking, eating, bbqing ...all in the great outdoors and seeing the world together. I would highly recommend it, and thanks Siesta Team for the great support and friendliness!

Abbiamo viaggiato per tutto il Portogallo a bordo del Siesta Atlantic ed è stata una esperienza fantastica! Il van era nuovissimo, super accessoriato, comodissimo da guidare e anche tutta lattrezzatura per dormire, cucinare e lavare era perfetta. I ragazzi del personale sono stati gentilissimi e disponibili per qualsiasi evenienza, per noi era la prima volta che facevamo un viaggio del genere e siamo rimasti contentissimi, super consigliati!

We got a last minute deal - Siesta Beach campervan for 5 days. We arrived sooner than we should have but it wasnt a problem. Car was ready for us and pleasant staff willingly checked us in and showed us the van. There is also a table spot where leftovers are for taking like salt, spices, paper towels and more. Child seat was OK. The VW van was really nice to drive - easy and comfortable. Returning was without any troubles. Friendly staff, good service and most important the cars in good shape

We had a really good experience with Siesta Campers and their Team and would totally recommend it to any first time van campers ! Booking and collection was straightforward and informative. Fantastic trip. Van was first class, easy pick up and drop off. Van had everything we needed, all I would add is it needs a mat to sit outside the sliding rear door and maybe a cover for the rear seatbelt clips when laid flat for sleeping. Other than those minor things it was a breeze to set up and pull down and easy to drive. Big tick electronic roof. Highly recommend Siesta. Five stars

Beware! Cheaters!We received the van after a short introduction (15-20 min) They opended the kitchen tap for a few seconds, the bathroom tap/sink haven t been checked in front of us. No advice to check the interior. It was generally sloppy maintained (no toilet chemicals; after the first kilometers in the van we noticed a really bad smell/ like feces and we didn t use the toilet or the water tap before; no water hose for water refill; later we noticed a totally clogged drain in the kitchen). We also got a confirmation that the van would come with epoxy surfboards. It didn t. After a long discussion ( it was not my fault, but my colleagues ) they gave us a small discount, which was pointless regarding the fact that we spent the afternoon with looking for surfboards rather than starting our trip. At 12pm we looked for the first time into the bathroom and noticed a broken sink. We informed immediately Siesta in the following morning. After returning the van, they did not notice the damaged sink, we had to emphasize the damage, even then they needed to check further to notice it. It is absolutely obvious to me that they have no thorough check protocol or don t stick to it. before pickup. Instead they accused us for damaging the sink and charged me over 600 for a damage we did NOT cause (and we had full coverage insurance). They payment was performed by charging my credit card WITHOUT my permission. They never made an effort to contact the previous clients. I have never seen a repair bill, and 600 seems ridiculous. I rented a van 8 years ago and had contact with the owners back then. They were really nice people and cared a lot. Things have changed fundamentally, it seems like they are loosing control after a considerable growth (which i totally begrudge to them). I run a company with over 40 employees and 3 locations by myself and know about quality control issues we face every day. But there is a lot of homework left. Contacting my attorney because of unauthorized credit card payment and dubious contractual basis.

Superbe expérience. Jai loué un camper van afin de découvrir le Portugal avec ma conjointe. Nous avons fait un road trip de 1 semaine entre Porto, Guarda, Coimbra et Aveiro. Larrière pays est superbe et offre une multitude de spots sauvages pour y passer la nuit, dans des paysages extrêmement variés. Malgré le temps frais (entre 2 et 8 la nuit) nous navons pas trop souffert. Heureusement léquipe nous avait gracieusement prete une couette supplémentaire. Concernant siesta camper, la base de Porto est facilement accessible depuis laéroport (métro E puis A et 10mn de marche pour finir). Jorge a été très accueillant. Aucune difficulté avec le van, la conduite au Portugal est assez simple une fois accoutumé aux particularités locales.

Une vraie démarche authentique dans le but de faire passer une bonne expérience au client. Digitalisation au top! Merci à vous !

Très belle expérience avec Siesta Campers de Porto au Portugal. Le van était neuf et trés sympa. Nous sommes aprtis au mois davril. La tente au dessus se dépliait électriquement. Nous avons passé, ma fille et moi, 8 jours superbes dans ce van aménagé comme il faut. Nous avons été bien guidé quand nous sommes venus récupérer le van. Nous avons pu poser toutes les questions utiles et nous aovns été écoutées. Le van est vraiment bien équipé. Une trés belle expérience à renouveler!

Wir hatten tolle 10 Tage in Portugal mit unserem Siesta California Camper! Alles lief gut und wir haben uns auch sehr sicher gefühlt! Wir haben beim Abholen (zum Glück!) zusätzlich Schlafsäcke bekommen, es war nachts teilweise sehr kalt. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder hier buchen preis-Leistung hat auf jeden Fall gepasst! Mit einem Camper sieht man ganz andere Seiten von Portugal, als in einem Hotel. Wärmste Empfehlung

It was a perfect experience for us. We really enjoyed it. The people there handing us over the car were really friendly and helpful and gave is some good tips. Also the car was in top shape and we didnt have any issues at all with it. Also the all the formalities felt very fair & transparent. Would definitely recommend to do it again.

Nous avons loué un van California pour une semaine de vadrouille de porto à faro. Siesta campers nous a bien accueillit , à toujours répondu à nos questions tout a été très facile et clair. Le van était propre, agréable à conduire et très bien équipé. Nachdem wir negative Erfahrungen mit einem anderen Van Verleih gemacht haben, entschieden wir uns für Siesta Campers. Der Unterschied zur vorherigen Erfahrung war extrem positiv. Der Van war mit allem ausgestattet. Selbst an Kleinigkeiten wie Geschirrhandtuch, Gewürze und Schwämme zum reinigen würde gedacht. Ich bin rundum zufrieden und dankbar für die positive Erfahrung. So unkompliziert wie Autovermietung nur sein kann! Die Abholung und Abgabe ging super schnell, unser Van war tip-top und die Mitarbeiter waren alle unfassbar nett und zuvorkommend. Die Videos zu den Funktionen des Vans waren sehr hilfreich und wir hatten daher auch keine Probleme alles zu finden und zu nutzen. Besonders vertrauenswürdig fand ich, dass bei der Abholung alle bereits existierenden Schäden mit Fotos dokumentiert waren und wir uns zusammen den Van nochmal genau angesehen haben. Hier hat man nicht das Gefühl über den Tisch gezogen zu werden. Ich kann Siesta Campers nur jedem wärmstens empfehlen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Fantastic experience start to finish! We had a amazing trip down the coast from Lisbon to Faro and the camper van provided was everything we needed and more. We especially appreciated the help of Ricardo at our drop-off in Faro who graciously held on to a lost item for us long after we had left. Would absolutely book with Siesta again!

Tried renting and driving a van for the first time in my life and liked it a lot. The staff explained me everything super clearly and easily. Had no troubles with the van, made 1500 km within 5 days to the South and back, wonderful experience. Definitely recommend this company.

Highly recommended. We had some issues with the van at the start; sadly only detected on the second day. So we had to go back for some repairs. Yes one could say that should impact the rating as it should have been detected, but: 1. it was done super fast 2. everybody showed full understanding no further questions asked just solved it right away 3. after the booking a compensation was offered without any further pushing from our end so even though it was not 100% perfect maybe, they totally made up for it. On top everybody working there is full of compassion, considerate and super friendly. to be honest like all Portuguese, what is going with those people 10/10 also of Portuguese peopele in general <3.

I rented a VAN for a ten days in June 2023 in Siesta Campers Porto and drove with it around Portugal. Even if we had a nice trip, we sadly can t recommend Siesta Campers in Porto, as the boss of the team, Nicolas, didn t treat us well. Our problem was, that here was a misunderstanding while booking the car, as during pick-up we communicated we would return it at 17h30 and no-one contradicted. We thought that the message of returning it at 11h was a mistake on our side while introducing the booking data, as we had originally planned an early return and later changed flights, so we understood it was allowed to return the car later. As the van wasn t delivered on time, we received an angry call from Nico, the owner, so we hurried to give the van back and apologized for the misunderstanding. Nico did not treat us with respect: he shouted to us, accused us of ignoring the rules on purpose, and didn t want to understand this was based on a misunderstanding with the working team in the office, who always acted in good faith. Nico seems to be more worried about contractual data than about real people handling respectfully with each other. Nico himself wasn t present in the office, it s easier just to shout around with the phone. Interestingly enough, the team in the office apologized for Nico s behavior, so I believe I m not the first one being shouted at. I am a very sensitive person, don t like being shouted at. The discussion with Nico left me in a very bad feeling, which took me 2 days to get rid of. You generally shouldn t shout to anyone, regardless of if they are customers or not. The fact that they fared 60 for late return according to the contract is not relevant for this review, just the way we were treated is, even if Nico claims, another family got the van late, this is simply not true as upon return the van there were 3 other unused vans in there waiting for delivery. You can better judge how good or bad a service is when something goes wrong, if everything works perfect you don t really get to know how they handle with normal issues that can happen to anyone. Very good experience with Siesta Campers. We had some issues with the sink and door of our California Campervan but their support service was amazing. They offer 24/7 support, speak perfect English and quickly look for a solution so you dont loose precious travel time. They had their own working place with dedicated mechanics, own spare parts and fixed the door in no time. My special thanks to Bruno and the friendly lady Emily from their support team ! After dropping the van the friendly lady in Faro gave us a free ride back to the city and even gave us a short guiding tour. Definitely would recommend Siesta Campers!

Abgeholt haben wir ihn in Porto, abgegeben in Faro - alles war super unkompliziert und hat reibungslos geklappt dank eurem netten Team. Kleine Verbesserungsvorschläge: (kleine) Kisten für den Kofferraum, um etwas Ordnung zu halten, Topfuntersetzer, kleines (portables) Licht an der Dusche/im Kofferraum. We rented the van from Porto and we had a brilliant experience. The van was in great condition, everything was explained to us really thoroughly and we had lovely conversations with the person who was helping us. We spent one week in one of siesta campers modern VW camper vans. The van was brand new with everything one could need on a camping trip. The beds were comfortable and made for a fantastic stay. Would highly recommend as the staff were also extremely helpful throughout our trip. Would definitely use siesta campers again.

Le van était parfaitement équipé avec plein d attentions (torchon éponge fila à linge pelle et balayette liquide vaisselle et même du café !) Nous sommes partis à 5 en famille. Nos deux grands dormaient sous une pop up tente louée chez siesta campers et nous étions 3 dans le van (couettes et oreillers :-)) Le personnel est très accueillant et très sympathique. What a fantastic and unique experience! We booked a traditional Salvador/Fortaleza van at Siesta Campers in Faro and had a wonderful experience - we would 100% recommend it. The people at Siesta Campers are incredibly friendly and really love their traditional vans. They love the little details of the van and treat it with great care. If you are traveling with it: please do the same! Driving the van is an experience in itself. No power steering, only four gears, you have to do everything yourself - a very nostalgic but incredibly exciting experience. (Tip: Take five minutes, together with the Siesta Campers staff, when picking up the van to drive around the block together. Then you get a good feel for the car). The cool thing about the traditional van: everyone waves to you, everywhere you go you are approached about the van, everyone loves it. Driving the traditional van from Siesta Campers along the sunny Algarve coast was just a great feeling of freedom. We would do it again anytime, even if our van trip was an Adventure of a Lifetime!

Abbiamo viaggiato circa una settimana con il Van Rosso, a novembre. Super comodo e con i servizi essenziali per viaggiare in questa terra meravigliosa che è il Portogallo. Un esperienza stupenda tra le città e la costa. Il Van si è comportato benissimo sia su strada che in zone più rurali. Il mezzo era nuovo e il motore era sicuro! Le dotazioni interne erano in buono stato e perfette per un viaggio per due. I ragazzi della sede di Lisbona sono stati molto bravi, competenti, veloci, cortesi e simpaticissimi! Insomma siamo stati molto bene! Consigliatissimo! Buona siesta a tutt !

Nous avons reçu un super accueil de Ricardo à notre arrivée à Faro. Van très propre et en bon état. Pour rendre le van a Lisbonne super accueil aussi, malgré un peu dattente (car nous sommes arrivés en même temps quune autre personne rendant son van), ça a tout de même été assez rapide. Nous avons eu tout de même une petite surprise à notre arrivée car on nous a annoncé que lusage du télépéage est facturé 15 et nous navions pas vu cette information, qui ne nous a non plus été mentionnée, nayant pris quune autoroute pour rentrer dans Lisbonne cest facheux. Donc juste attention la dessus si vous navez pas lhabitude de louer des véhicules cest apparemment toujours facturé. Malgré ça le personnel et létat du van méritent une bonne note et si vous avez toutes les infos vous ne serez pas déçus! :) Et ça vaut vraiment le coup de faire le sud du Portugal en van!! Cest magnifique! :)

Wir hatten einen Camper für eine Woche gemietet und sind 100% zufrieden gewesen. Die Leute vor Ort sind wirklich sympathisch und zuvorkommend. Die Fahrzeuge sind in einem guten Zustand gewesen und wir haben eine gute Einweisung bekommen, sodass wir auch als Anfänger im Camping uns direkt gut zurecht fanden. Insgesamt waren wir mit unseren Urlaub rundum zufrieden!

If you are debating whether you should rent or not a van with Siesta Campers, I promise you will not be disappointed! The whole process was smooth and easy to do. Renting a van here was an awesome experience! Would recommend, 10/10. First, André and Jenny are super nice and you can call them whenever there is a problem or you have a question. They also helped us to plan our route or made helpful suggestions where to go. They explained and showed us how everything works in a professional way and didnt leave any questions open. Secondly, the van was super clean and we had no problems during our 5-day trip whatsoever, everything worked perfectly. Thirdly, just rent a van and get out there! It was so simple, we had no problems and I encourage everyone to try it out. :) Cheers!

I did two relocations for this company. This office seemed to be functioning better than the Faro and Lisbon offices but the whole company is dysfunctional. The vans are really nice and awesome so you can take a risk and work with this company if you want. My two rentals consisted of late pickups, workers deferring to their bosses and making excuses for the lateness and condition of the vans, and no one calling me or coming to pickup the vans when they said they would. I always had to initiate communication with Siesta Campers. The Porto office, like all the others, is unmarked and a garage behind the road. The workers were friendly enough and quickly checked the van back in.
