Booked a bike and asked if I could do the paperwork the day before, so I wouldnt loose time the next day for the rental. It took a good 20 minutes to fill out the paperwork. When I arrived the next day, I had to fill out even more paperwork (something I wanted to avoid) using up precious time for my rental. On their website they advertise stylish female City Bikes, but in store they gave me a small bike with straight handles which was not adjusted to my height. I received no instructions, no communication in terms of an emergency or a safety kit. I got back and neck pain early on. The bike broke down after an hour into the ride. I tried calling the shop but no one answered. I was forced to turn back and walked to the shop. Back at the shop the staff argued with me when I asked for a refund. After a while they got the manager and we came to a mutual agreement, which I appreciate. The manager did push me to take another bike, but by then it was midday and I wanted to move on. I politely decline but he insists on getting a reason why I dont want to use their services anymore. I felt this was unnecessarily pushy and aggressive towards me. My money was returned in as small units as possible. I got another remark when I left the shop so how are you going to spend the rest of the day?. Based on my experience I have decided I wont use them again.

Perfect place to rent bikes for Camino route! They are always very responsive and helpful. We had a full 5 days of trip and no issues with the bikes at all (and yes we put some strain on them)

A sorte são os colaboradores! Muito simpáticos e interessados. O patrão um indivíduo extremamente rude e mal educado. Infelizmente ainda não entendeu que deveria ser um líder e exemplo para os colaboradores. Tinhamos de entregar a nossa mota às 19h. Calculamos o GPS para chegarmos 20 min antes das 19h (no caso de acontecer algum imprevisto), mas a nossa mota, infelizmente não andava mais que 70 km/h na autoestrada nas subidas (onde há muitas) 20 minutos antes das 19h, liguei para avisar que estávamos no máximo 10 minutos atrasados e pedi desculpa. Foi-me logo dito que iriamos pagar uma multa e que eramos irresponsável etc, mas num tom que não tem justificação! Muito menos vindo de um patrão. Nunca deixo reviews menos boas, prefiro deixar boas ou nenhumas, mas neste caso, em nome dos que trabalham para esta empresa, achei por bem deixar esta opinião. Resposta ao comentário Sr. Rui, você não deve ter entendido bem a mensagem. Nós avaliamos o serviço com 2 estrelas exatamente por os colaboradores terem sido extremamente simpáticos e acessíveis, porque se tivesse sido pelo tom que o Sr. Rui falou comigo, não teria dado nem uma. Acho um pouco irónico o tom em que fala sobre respeitar os outros enquanto o Sr. não se deu ao respeito. Como gerente tem o dever de ser um exemplo.

originally me and my boyfriend rented a scooter for 2 days on our vacation to Porto. on arrival we were met with a bit of a line, but we were in no rush. after a bit of contemplation we decided against taking the scooter because of the traffic in and around Porto, as we are both not very experienced scooter drivers. the guy who helped us (i dont know his name but he had a shaved head and an ear piercing) was very friendly and welcoming. he changed our booking to electric bikes, even though we came short on the upped deposit since we needed two. he also took some time to show us a bunch of places on a map. we ended up on a beach in Gaia, which was a really nice bike ride. amazing place, good quality vehicles, not expensive at all! thank you so much for giving us an unforgettable day in your amazing city

We rented bikes for 6 days to cycle south of Porto. Excellent service by the staff. The bikes were in very good condition. We were given tools and spare inner tubes etc in case of any issues. Would definitely use again.

This review is catered to the manager/employee working in this shop who sold us the grayline city bus tour tickets in Porto. We specifically asked for the city sightseeing tour tickets (red bus hop on hop off commonly known), but instead he insisted on selling us the grayline bus tour which was not only more expensive but also horrible experience! Please do not buy any sight seeing tour tickets from this shop! They are the vendors but they do not know themselves which tours are good and simply focussed on selling tours which brings them more commission!

We were in Porto last week and decided to rent a scooter from Vieguini. We didnt have a reservation but they had bikes available and got us on the road quickly. The guys in the shop were super helpful and gave us advice on where to visit and a map. The bike was a Honda PCX in very good condition, perfect for the city traffic in Porto or exploring down the coast or up the Douro valley. Very fuel efficient and easy to ride. Its a great value way to see Porto and the surrounding area. Recommended.

We rented 4 bikes from Vieguni for our trip from Porto to Santiago de Compostella on the coastal route of the Camino de Santiago (cyclists should probably go along the coastal route unless they re experienced mountain bikers and willing to put up with a LOT of bumping). Anyways, Vieguni was super helpful during the planning stages, provided us with great bikes, saddlebags, repair kits, and logistical help getting the bikes back to Porto after we arrived in Santiago. Thank you so much for the bikes - you helped make a wonderful memory for the kids and I!!

Vieguini are awsome! Weve rented 6 bikes from them from Porto with drop off in Lisbon, and their service was impeccable. Communication was very easygoing, they provided all information beforehand. Bikes were in a very good shape. They provide all adjacent gear needed - helmets, pannier racks and bag, repair kits, bungy cords, absolutely everything we needed for a bikepacking trip. And when we had an issue with the battery of one of the bikes, they managed to replace it incredibly promptly, along the bikepacking trip. Great service! We strongly recommend it and for sure we will rent again, for any upcoming trip in portugal!

Somos una familia y alquilamos una bici con silla para bebe de 2 años, una bici de adulto y una bici de niño durante 6 horas en Oporto. Desde que llegamos a la tienda, todo fueron facilidades, nos ayudaron en el montaje, a probar las bicis, nos dieron un mapa con la ruta que podíamos hacer y fue maravilloso, lo disfrutamos muchísimo!!! Las bicis son nuevas, frenan bien. A los niños les dieron un casco. La tienda está en la Ribeira, por tanto, no hace falta subir cuestas, cruzamos al lado de Gaia y por el paseo llegamos hasta la Playa y comimos en Afurada que es un pequeño pueblo de pescadores. La ruta es muy agradable, por un paseo junto al río. Después por la acera de la Ribeira llegamos hasta debajo del puente Arrábida . Actividad muy muy recomendable para todos los públicos, fácil y sencillo.

From the moment I enquired about a rental bike for a Porto to Santiago tour I could not have been happier with the response. Vieguini we re very professional and helpful and prompt. All my options were explained. The quote was simply laid out and I thought the price was reasonable. When I picked up the touring bike the mechanic made sure everything was working perfectly. It was good that they made sure it was fitted to my size even though afew adjustments along the way were required. I was made aware a phone call was all that was required should I have difficulties during the 7 days I wanted the bike for. The touring bike was new and adequate for the job. The bike ride well, good Schwalbe tyres helped and with simple panniers it worked well. The drop off in Santiago was easy and efficient. I wouldn t hesitate to recommend these guys and their bikes for anyone wanting to ride a Portuguese Camino.

Absolutely top & competent! We can recommend this motivated team to anyone who wants to rent a bike! My wife and I were on the road for almost three weeks via EV 1 on approx. 500 km with the trekking bikes from Viguini (Kross) from Porto to Lisbon. Our verdict: Excellent! Perfect! Booking: The team gave us very good and friendly advice in advance about the possible types of bikes. The communication was very binding and the response times pleasantly short. We also received information on tour planning and possible deviations from Eurovelo. After we unfortunately couldnt make the first trip due to family events, they were very generous and flexible with us.Thank you. Bicycles: were in absolutely new condition. The equipment with suspension fork, luggage rack, bottle cage, lock with components of brand equipment excellent. In addition, we received an emergency kit along the way - which would have been absolutely sufficient for any quick repairs (chain lock, repair kit, chain oil, etc). We used it to do some readjustment, which is inevitable at 500 km. Saddlebags: The capacity of the double bags was sufficient for 9 kg of luggage each. The rain cover provided for the bags also proved its worth on the first few days. The only downer is the fastening with Velcro strips. The Decathlon bags actually have a disadvantage compared to the Vaude & Ortlieb bags and their fastenings. The bags are very stable, but mounting them is a bit tricky. By the way, the bottle holder from below on the ladies bike proved to be unsuitable. Service: I can only praise. We were able to repack our luggage in the shop and were allowed to leave our suitcases in the workshop until we returned. As I said, the team was very friendly, helpful and reliable! Again: We can recommend this motivated team to anyone who wants to rent a bike. Rui, Fabio & crew keep up the good work! Good luck! SUPER! Il personale è professionale e gentilissimo: mi hanno permesso di prenotare due biciclette via mail (senza nessun anticipo!) al fine di organizzare al meglio il mio weekend a Porto. Una volta raggiunto il negozio (facilissimo da trovare), ci hanno dato una cartina segnalandoci la pista ciclabile, i vari percorsi alternativi che costeggiano il parco e indicandoci zone con ristoranti tipici. Un ottimo servizio ad un prezzo più che onesto. SUPER CONSIGLIATO!

Sehr gut. Faire Preise und gute Roller. Habe hier insgesamt 2x eine PCX für je einen Tag gemietet. Die Roller waren in einem guten Zustand und fuhren einwandfrei. Auch Rückgabe und Kautionsrückzahlung waren problemlos. Im Sommer bitte ein paar Tage vorher reservieren, sonst steht man evtl. ohne Roller da. Routentipp: Die N-108 immer am Douro entlang, zum Miradouro Sao Silvestre, weiter am Douro entlang, in Peso de Regua den Douro queren und die N-222 zurück fahren bis VN Gaia. Insgesamt 253km, wenn man direkt um 10 Uhr startet, lässt sich das an einem Tag gut fahren (siehe Bilder).

Die größte Abzocke der Laden! Der Manager ist nur darauf aus sich die Kaution einzustecken. Nie mehr, ich würde jedem davon abraten. Man bekommt beschädigte Roller und muss im Nachhinein dafür bezahlen. Trotz Beweisen wollte er nicht mit sich reden lassen und meinte wortwörtlich Wenn ihr mit mir spielt, spiele ich auch mit euch . Unseriöses Verhalten hoch 10. Finger weg!

Wir haben 2 Roller für 3 Stunden gemietet. Zu Beginn haben wir die Roller gefilmt. Wir sind nur gefahren und haben die Roller nicht abgestellt. Als wir zurückkamen, wurde uns unterstellt, dass wir einen Hauptständer eines Rollers kaputt gemacht haben, da dieser verbogen war. Wir haben ihm das Video gezeigt, auf dem ganz klar zu sehen war, dass der Hauptständer bereits verbogen war. Nach einem hin und her kommt er zurück und hält einen Zettel in der Hand, dass der Hauptständer 300 kostet (soviel Kaution mussten wir hinterlegen). Ich hatte zuvor aber bereits rausgesucht, dass der Originalständer neu nur 15 kostet. Daraufhin wollte er nurnoch 130 und darauf gibt er uns 50% Rabatt. Also wollte er für einen Hauptständer, der bereits kaputt war, 65 haben und hat die ganze Zeit noch arrogant und frech geredet. Z.B.: You play with me, so I play with you . Nachdem wir nun andere Bewertungen gelesen haben, ist das wohl schon öfter vorgekommen und scheint eine gängige Masche zu sein. Also Touri ist man dann leider machtlos. Ich kann nur ganz klar von diesem Laden abraten.

To summarize: very good. I rented a 125cc scooter for 3 days, which include helmets, lock and insurance for roughly 112 (2023). I contacted them beforehand, and they advice me to book the scooter, which consist in paying in advance 1/3 of the price. After that, it was very smooth, deposit of 400 , that got canceled once I give back the scooter. The staff was friendly and explained in English everything needed, and after that I enjoyed Porto and around for three days.

Their service and communication was fast, informative, and clear. I rented a trekking bike for the Caminho de Portuguese, coastal. Did the trip in just over 4 days. The trekking bike had some trouble with theany cobblestones and tiles of Portugal. Plus, there were a few stretches of single track (rocky trails). My back tire leaked twice, this, Id recommend a mountain bike. However, the trekking bike seat was super comfortable and the bike did the job.

Rented an electric bike to ride from Porto to Santiago. When I got to Spain, the bike had a mechanical error. The shop was amazing. They drove 2 hours to Spain and gave me a new bike. The owner offered to take us to our next stop, but it was a beautiful day to ride on the Camino! I highly recommend this company, because they will take care of you 100%. The price for the bike was reasonable and you can drop off in Santiago De Compostela.

Habe mir hier einen 125er Roller gemietet. Preise sind völlig inordnung. Mit der Kaution hat auch alles reibungslos funktioniert. Was mich gestört hat war, dass der Roller Technisch nicht wirklich inordnung war. Der Lenker hat vibriert und sich beim loslassen aufgeschaukelt. Ich habe den Betreiber bei Rückgabe darauf aufmerksam gemacht. Das Fahrzeug wurde dann auch aus der Vermietung genommen um es zu reparieren. Trotzdem schade, dass sowas nicht vorher bemerkt wurde.

I rented a 125cc scooter here. I just walked in, without any reservation, and everything was done under 10 minutes. The guy working there was also really kind and he willingly showed me a map of great locations where I can go and answered all of my questions. Definitely recommending it for everyone who wants to take a beautiful ride with great scooters. Coming here again next time without any doubt :)

Mucho ojo con reservar aquí, harán todo lo posible para cargar responsabilidades pese a la fianza. Te roban la bici y tratan de elevar cualquier queja a gerencia e incluso la policía. Si queréis tener un día/tarde tranquilos, mejor en otro lugar. Además que parece que te esten tomando a cachondeo y te dicen que pagar 300 por una bici que te han robado (la cual, por cierto, puede tener elementos como el timbre rotos) es algo simbólico. Son unos ladrones.

I booked a 125cc Classic with my girlfriend for a day to ride along the beach. The scooter was great and the prices are also good. The staff in the store were super friendly and helpful. English is no problem there (like everywhere in Portugal). Unreserved recommendation!

We hired a tandem, good service, good bike, lots of fun

Rented a tandem with my wife for a trip down to the coast. Bike was old but solid and fully functional. Helmets were provided and locks. Bit of paperwork to go through (don t forget your ID. But guys were helpful and knowledgable about the bikes and area. We rented for 4 hours for 15 but they said that if we wanted to run over they would charge us the extra when we got back which was helpful. We went over time by a little bit and they were fine about it. The beach was well worth the visit some big waves, surfers and lots of nice cafes on the long promenade very different to the hustle and bustle of Porto.

Alquilamos un tándem para ir hasta la playa de matosinhos y al parque de cidade y recomiendo muchísimo la experiencia! La única pega fue que teníamos que devolver el tándem a las 19h o ya al día siguiente, pero por todo lo demás, trato genial!

Nous avons loué 4 vélos dont un VAE pour rouler le long du Douro depuis Miranda do Douto. Juis a organisé notre transfert là bas. Les vélos étaient bien préparés et nous n avons eu aucun ennui sur nos 8 jours de vélos. Dans Porto un VAE est un bon choix. Sans doute le meilleur lieu pour louer des vélos à Porto. Juis parle français et est le plus attentionné des vendeurs. Chaleureusement recommandé.

My boyfriend and I rented an electric bike each for the day. The price was good, but if you want to do this you have to leave a 400 deposit for each bike. This deposit was returned to us immediately after we returned the bikes. The staff were very helpful and kind. The bikes were easy to use and we cycled down to the beaches. I would highly recommend this shop to rent bikes and have a lovely day out!

Easy rental and return process

We rented 5 ebikes (KTM) good quality ebikes : 5/5 good service (explanation, trips, ...) : 5/5 fair price : 4/5 (28 EUR for one day) heavy deposit : 800 EUR per bike. No possibility to have some kind of super CDW (everything covered). Deposit is blocked for 1 month on your credit card (!) : 2/5 maximum responsability : 3000 EUR per bike (!). 15.000 EUR in total (!!). No quite sure how to understand this, when you have a total loss ... . 1/5 We had one bike having an accident. Settling this was straightforward, no rip-off. 5/5. Overall good experience.

Absolutely superb service - both of the staff, and the equipment. This was the best prepared bike Ive ever had in my life, and I did rentals in many countries. I rented a bike for 8 day, and did put it to some real work and test in the North Portugal, including the mountains, and there wasnt a single squeak or rasp over the whole time, breaks sharp as a razor. The bike came with a set of tools (thankfully, didnt need them, but helped some other cyclist on my way) and a good, clean helmet. I thoroughly recommend their services.

Très bon accueil, nous avons loué un scooter 125 PCX Honda 9 jours pour faire porto Lisbonne en 2 étapes en passant par lautoroute et 3 étapes pour le retour. très confortable pour 2 personnes, pratique pour un petit bagage et un sac a dos. Économique, pratique pour les stationnements et faire de la ville . La réception cest très bien passé .je recommande cette agence les yeux fermés . Je précise 400 la caution remboursé immédiatement à notre retour sans aucun soucis et non 800 comme jai lu dans un commentaire.

I rented a scooter for 2 days originally and prolonged by one more day. It was the Honda pcx 125ccm. During these three days I got to know Porto so well, I ve seen so many things and discovered a lot of interesting locations both in Porto and also in its nearby cities and villages. On return, there were no problems with the scooter and the deposit of 400 was returned immediately. If you re in Porto and you can drive a scooter, don t miss this opportunity.

Good quality bikes and great service. The e-bike battery charge was accurate and the components worked smoothly. I highly recommend riding to the coast and heading north to the fishing district in Matosinhos where you can get fresh grilled fish for a great price.

Los chicos son muy simpáticos, tienen gran variedad de bicis y de motos. Nosotros alquilamos una moto 125 por un día entero y nos costó 40 . Tienes que dejar un depósito de 400 que te devuelven cuando entregas la moto pero el banco te lo pone en la cuenta 10 días después. Si no tienes una ruta ellos te ayudan y te dan sugerencias muy chulas. Algo que Podrían mejorar es abrir más temprano. De resto excelente.

Jai réservé un MTB chez Vieguini et ai été ravie de mon choix. Le vélo était prêt à mon arrivée avec tout le matériel nécessaire (kit de réparation complet, détendeur, lumière et cadenas), le vélo était de bonne qualité et bien entretenu, je nai rencontré aucun problème. Ce que jai particulièrement apprécié, cest le personnel adorable, aimable et drôle et leurs très bons conseils et le temps pris pour me les donner. Jai vraiment pu apprécié mes tours et cela na pas de prix quand on aime biker. Merci à votre équipe, je nhésiterai pas à revenir !

Ladekabel, Helm,Map,Reparaturkit erhalten.Gute Vorschläge für die Route erhalte.Leider ist eine Kette abends auf dem Rückweg gerissen. Nicht für mich Laien reparierbar. Wohl Verschleiß...das Bike hatte schon gut 7000km auf der Uhr. Trotzdem kam der Techniker um 18.30 h und hat es repariert.Super Service. Empfehlenswert

Tanto los dueños como los empleados son muy amables y muy profesionales. Las bicis eléctricas, estupendas y en buen estado. La fianza de las bicis, que en el caso de las eléctricas es de 300 euros por bici, si se hace con tarjeta, puede tardar unos días en ser devuelta - en nuestro caso 10 días - pero debe ser cosa del banco. Conviene tenerlo en cuenta. Por lo demás, súper recomendable!

Buena atención, súper amables, la mejor forma de conocer oporto, contratamos una scooter de 50cc para varios días, la quisimos entregar más tarde, llamamos por teléfono y todo sin ningún problema, repetiría sin dudarlo. Nuestra Scooter fue una Piaggio, aguantó las cuestas de oporto como una campeona, gastamos 5 euros de gasolina en 5 días.

Foi excelente a experiência de aluguer. Sr. Rui e sua esposa foram super gentis conosco, deram-nos toda a atenção e cuidado deste o primeiro contato telefônico. Mota excelente, muito bem cuidada, grande variedade de modelos. Certamente voltaremos a alugar com a Vieguini! Altamente recomendado.

We wanted to rent a scooter. I kindly asked if it would be possible to test the scooter before renting it. Im a polite person, so a simple No, we dont do testing because of safety reason would be enough. However, the man was very angry for me asking a simple question. He screamed at me You are always making problems in this shop, we are already spending 30 minutes on you and this is a lot! We dont want to spend any time on you. You are a bad person. I dont want to rent to you. I think that he was totally overreacting, because I just asked one simple question. Me and my boyfriend were shocked, and were not comfortable to ask anything more. I still give 2 stars, because we were able to return the scooter without any problems. But Vieguini, please keep customer service in mind! Screaming at customers is not appreciated. And people are coming from around the world, testing a scooter is something normal in many countries. Simple explaining would be more effective than making a screaming drama, which is not professional.

I visited them 3 days ago and the staff were coughing a lot. I m back home and got tested for Corona: Positive. So, most probably I received Corona from them. Be careful people!

Helpful friendly staff who spoke english as sadly we dont speak Portuguese. We hired a couple of well maintained electric bikes to go exploring over the other side of the Douro. Not expensive and very accommodating. Heard them talking to other customers and they were just as friendly and trying very hard to offer a good service.

Recommended. We couldnt pay with cc for a deposit of 3days so we had to use a local atm with a commission be aware. I would also recommend to cycle on the east coast of Gaia as the have a long dedicated bike lane along the beach for 20km

Very well maintained bikes, great service and good price! We initially booked for 4 hours but ended up having the bikes out for more than 6 hours. They were kind enough just to charge 2 each for the overtime. Porto is hilly af but they are in the flat part of the city. Biking along the Douro to Foz and beyond was one of the highlights of our visit to Porto.

Alquilamos una moto por 38 euros 24 horas y la moto de lujo, gasta poquísima gasolina, si no quieres esperar en las paradas de los bus que tardan mucho y el transporte es un poco caótico recomiendo alquilar una y recorrer todo Oporto, además el personal es encantador y te recomienda muchos lugares con encanto que están a las afueras de oporto.

Pre booked a few months before our arrival.... a honda 125. Scooter was perfect, as was the handling of the booking and the pick up at the shop. Bike worked perfect and would happily rent again... We got a bit dizzy about the timing of the return.... and returned it late. (Very sorry) They were fine about it, small payment which we expected. We will be back next year, can reccommend without any doubt... good looking scooter, good helmets and lock, everything fantastic apart from our time keeping....

We were a group of 3, and rented bikes from Vieguini for the first 3 days of our Camino. We were able to make arrangements by email, and found the contact people to be helpful and polite, willing to go to extra lengths to make sure that our rental was in order. At the shop, the staff were helpful and accommodating, with the bikes in good order and the helmets and additional equipment ready to go. The bikes were good for roads and gravel trails, and the lights and panniers were super helpful, as we ended up riding a bit at night after getting lost (operator error!). I would suggest that parts of the Camino would have been better ridden on mountain bikes, but overall the recommendation from the shop was sound. The staff member who came to Valenca to pick up the bikes was also polite and gracious. Value for cost was good. We really enjoyed our contact with Rui and all the employees and hope to return to Porto and continue our relationship with Vieguini!

We rented bikes twice, they were in great shape, with helmets and elastics to carry our bags. The stuff is very friendly and willing to explain bike routes. If you have a problem with the bike on the way they come and repair it. Price was 10euros pro bike for 6hours. Highly recommended

Empresa seria y los trabajadores muy amables. Hablan varios idiomas. Te expican varias rutas que puedes hacer con la bici. Nosotras cogimos una bicicleta por 4 horas (8 euros/persona), y fuimos hasta la desembocadura del río (Foz do Douro) y Matosinhos, pueblo de pescadores donde puedes comer un buen pescado a la brasa. Si hace buen día es un gran plan.
