Wir durften mit Verena eine sensationell tolle Stadtführung durch einen schönen Teil von Porto machen. Es war super interessant gestaltet, eine tolle Mischung aus Historie und Gegenwart und vor allem immer äusserst unterhaltsam. Wir haben tolle Ort besuchen dürfen und eine perfekte Mischung aus Sehenswürdigkeiten und Insider Tipps erhalten. Es ist sehr empfehlenswert diese Tour zu buchen und es gibt eine tolle Ueberraschung am Ende!!!! DANKE VERENA (und Hugo)

What an amazing experience in the Douro Valley! This tour was the perfect mix of scenic views, culture, and wine tasting. We started the day with a magical boat ride along the river, which allowed us to truly take in the valley s stunning landscape. Our first stop was a winery dedicated to port wine, where we found our favorite port! The entire experience was well-organized, from the traditional lunch (with both wine and port wine!) to the group size, which was small enough to feel personal and genuine. We got to visit more local spots, far from the typical tourist paths, which really made a difference. A special shoutout to our guide, Hugo, who was incredible! He engaged the whole group and made sure even the solo travelers felt included. His knowledge and personal touch added an extra dimension to the day. Thanks to him and the well-thought-out itinerary, we had a fantastic day together. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a truly authentic taste of the Douro Valley! Verena hat uns Portos Highlights und versteckte Juwelen gezeigt. Diese gemütliche Tour hat uns außerordentlich gut gefallen. Toll fanden wir auch ihre zusätzlichen Infos über das Leben in der Stadt.

Wir waren letze Woche in Porto und haben eine Stadtführung bei Verena gebucht. Wir sind immer noch begeistert. Die Gruppen sind klein (Wir hatten das Glück sogar nur zu zweit zu sein) und wir kamen sehr schnell mit Verena ins Gespräch und hatten dabei den Eindruck, dass sie Ihre Touren sehr individuell gestaltet. Wir haben viele größere Gruppentouren in Porto gesehen, teilweise mit Kopfhörer im Ohr. Das würden wir nie buchen!!! Verena hat Geschichte studiert, was extrem hilfreich und vor allen Dingen lehrreich war. Ich will hier nichts vorwegnehmen, aber eine Geschichte möchte ich erwähnen. Dank Verena weiß ich nun, dass nach den Römern und Kelten die Schwaben nach Porto gekommen sind!!! Wer schon einmal mit einem Schwaben mit wirklich starken Dialekt gesprochen hat, der kann sich dann auch vorstellen, woher die vielen Sch-Laute in der portugiesischen Sprache kommen. Da wir die Tour auf Englisch gebucht haben (Meine Frau spricht Englisch), musste ich bei der Tour erst einmal nachfragen: How are the Swabs? Wir sind total dankbar für die tolle Tour und werden sicher wieder eine Tour bei Verena buchen, wenn wir zurück in Porto sind. Eine sehr besondere und absolut empfehlenswerte Tour!!!

We had a fabulous day out at the Douro Valley with Hugo. His knowledge of the area and in wine making is first class. He has an excellent personality and makes the day a lot of fun. The wineries we visited had lovely wines and our lunch was cooked over an open fire at our last winery. It was delicious. We can thoroughly recommend Hugo and his wonderful day trip to the Douro Valley.

We had a very nice day, the guide was very nice and a good tasting at a winery and a very good meal followed by a tasting. The boat tour was a good change in between.

Jean hat unsere gemischte Gruppe von 8 Personen in englisch, französisch und deutsch umfassend informiert. Er ist ein echtes Sprachentalent, war stets um seine Gäste bemüht und hat uns die Schönheiten des Dourotales gezeigt. Die Verkostung im Weingut war von sehr guter Qualität, Preis-Leistung sind auch top. Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen.

Unser Mädelsausflug nach Porto werden wir in bester Erinnerung behalten. Auf Empfehlung von Freunden hatten wir bei Verena und Hugo einen Tagesausflug ins Dourotal gebucht und einen Tag später noch eine dreistündige Stadtbesichtigung durch die Altstadt von Porto. Beide Tage waren sehr interessant, abwechslungsreich und informativ. Professionell und sympathisch wurde uns Portugal, Porto und das Dourotal nähergebracht. Wir durften eine tolle Zeit mit ihnen verbringen. Dafür möchten wir uns recht herzlich bei den beiden bedanken und empfehlen sie sehr sehr gerne weiter.

Unser Mädelsausflug nach Porto war unter anderem auch dank Verena, Hugo und Jean ein tolles und unvergessliches Erlebnis. Wir hatten die Tagestour ins Douro-Tal gebucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das war wirklich ein absolutes Highlight mit Portweinprobe, Bootsausflug, Essen in der wunderschönen Landschaft des Douro-Tals. Hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt!! Hugo und Jean haben den ganzen Tag über mit Ihrem Humor für gute Laune gesorgt. Am nächsten Tag hat uns dann Verena mit ihrem vielseitigen Wissen durch Porto geführt. Die drei Stunden vergingen wie im Flug. Wir sind immer noch so begeistert wie engagiert und freundlich die beiden waren und uns auch noch im Anschluss einen Tisch für das Essen (Francesinha) abends reserviert haben. Vielen Dank an das ganze Viva-Team .. Ihr seid super und wird werden Euch auch unheimlich gerne weiter empfehlen. Die elf Mädels aus Heilbronn...

Meine Frau und ich waren überwältigt von Verena als Reiseleiterin. Sie ist sehr sympathisch und kennt sich mit allem aus, was Porto zu bieten hat. Wir hatten die Tour Portwein, Douro Wein, Grüner Wein und Kultur gebucht und waren absolut begeistert. Man bekommt Lokale und Orte zu sehen, in die sich andere Touris selten verirren. Verena hat mit ihrer lockeren, humorvollen Art ihr ganzes Wissen über die Weine verständlich rüber gebracht. Man hat garnicht gemerkt wie schnell die Zeit verging und am Ende waren wir traurig, daß es schon vorbei war. Die Aktualisierung per Mail und SMS oder Whatsapp vorher, über Treffpunkte usw. und danach über Orte zum Essen, Trinken, Museen ist ein toller Service und findet man fast nie bei anderen Anbietern. Verena und Hugo haben uns am Ende sogar noch geholfen uns ein Uber-Taxi zu besorgen, Wir können diese Tour auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Wer auf kleinere Gruppen, persönlichen Kontakt, keine Massenabfertigung und viel Wissen der Guides steht, ist hier super aufgehoben. Vielen Dank Verena, dass Du unseren Nachmittag so wundervoll gestaltet hast.

Wir haben zwei Touren mit Viva Tours in deutscher Sprache auf Empfehlung von Freunden gemacht. Aufgrund der Erfahrung beider Touren kann ich Viva Tours nur weiterempfehlen. Zuerst die Walking-Tour in Porto mit Verena. Hier haben wir nicht nur die Hauptattraktion und Sehenswürdigkeiten gezeigt bekommen, sondern sehr viel Hintergrundwissen über Land, Leute, Essen und Kultur vermittelt bekommen. Verena hat sich auch die Zeit genommen, Fragen zu beantworten und auf uns einzugehen. Nach der Erfahrung in Porto haben wir dann auch gleich die Tour ins Duorotal gebucht. Obwohl die Tour normalerweise in Porto startet und wir aber schon ein Hotel im Duorotal gebucht hatten, war Viva Tour sehr flexibel und hat uns in Peso da Regua abgeholt und auch wieder dorthin zurückgebracht. Unser Tour Guide Jean hat uns auf eine sehr nette, humorvolle Art und Weise die Portwein Herstellung in einem kleineren Weingut erklärt und auch sehr detaillierten Fragen beantwortet. Neben einer einstündigen Bootsfahrt beinhaltete die Tour auch den Besuch eines Restaurants mit einem traditionellen Mittagessen, welches über offenem Feuer zubereitet wurde. Dazu serviert wurden angepasste Weine aus hauseigener Herstellung. Sehr beeindruckend und sehr schmackhaft. Der Kundenservice endete nicht mit der Tour, sondern ging darüber hinaus, in dem uns von beiden Tourguides Tipps und Empfehlungen gegeben wurden für den weiteren Besuch Portugals. Einige davon haben wir ausprobiert, alles top Empfehlungen.

Wir durften letzten Freitagnachmittag eine rund 3 1/2h Wein & Portweinführung mit Verena von My Viva Tours geniessen. Die Tour fand privat mit uns vier Frauen statt und war der Hammer. Man spürt Verenas Begeisterung für Weine und sie hat uns auf interessante Art und Weise auch viel von ihrem Wissen weitergegeben. Sie hat uns etwas abseits vom Mainstream in kleine Lokale für die Verköstigungen geführt, was wir sehr genossen und geschätzt haben. Wir waren von dieser Führung begeistert und können Verena bzw. My Viva Tours, die sie zusammen mit ihrem Lebenspartner betreibt, nur empfehlen. Das nächste Mal wenn wir wieder nach Porto kommen, werden wir sicherlich auch mal einen Ausflug ins Douro-Tal mit My Viva Tours buchen. We absolutely loved our tour with Viva, our guide Sergio was beyond knowledgeable and he put his own flare on the tour. From the wineries we visited, to the small unique towns and the beautiful river cruise, we couldn t imagine exploring the valley any other way! VIVA Tours mit Verena ist sehr empfehlenswert. Hatten mehrere verschiedene Touren gebucht und alles war Top organisiert. Zusätzlich gab es kleine nette Aufmerksamkeiten. Jede Tour war ein Erlebnis des Besonderen. Die Gruppe wird klein gehalten und man fühlt sich mitgenommen. Dadurch war es möglich individuell auf Fragen einzugehen. Wir haben alles richtig gemacht. I cannot recommend this tour enough! We booked the Duoro Valley Wine Tour and John was our guide. This was easily the highlight of our trip. We have traveled to many countries and this day and tour was one of the most special things we have done. From the wine, to the information, to the dinner - all amazing. Amazing tour! Jaen Noel was amazing! We started the tour at 8:15. Jaen was amazing and educational! We learned so much history- and other fun facts! He was patient and respectful- and to boot, funny! Took us to the best parts of the duoro valley and had the most pleasant 8 hours! The lunch at Duoro Vintage was one of the best meals I have had!

This was by far the best thing we did on our trip to Porto. Jean was our tour guide and he was so friendly and well educated on the Douro Valley. We started the day at a beautiful vineyard with port wine, then took an hour boat ride along the river. We finished the day with 2 different photo spots and an incredible traditional lunch with local wine. There were so many options when looking for tours but the best part of this one was being apart of a small group of 6 people and getting a really personalized experience. Me and 8 of my friends booked through Viva Tours and we had the best time! They went out of their way to keep our large group together, and the entire 9-hour day went smoothly. Ebenso haben wir sehr viel über die Geschichte der Stadt erfahren. Wir sind in Ecken der Stadt gewesen, die wir alleine nicht gefunden hätten und all unsere Fragen wurden beantwortet. We cannot recommend Hugo s tour enough!!! It was exceptionally wonderful!! We are wine lovers and visit wineries often, so looked for a boutique experience with an elevated level of knowledge and selection of wineries. We were 6 in the group and visited family oriented small / medium size wineries. Hugo was a well of knowledge on both the region and wine. Everything was wonderfully organized, beautiful and tasty. We were all overwhelmed by Verena as our tour guide . She was very personable ,a great sense of humour and knowledgeable about everything that Porto has to offer, from the culture , food , to modern and early history. I felt in 3hrs we covered a vast array of colourful history and major attractions . I loved the update by text before about meeting points etc and after regarding places to eat , drink and museums etc . I definitely recommend this tour to others , well done to you for making our afternoon very enjoyable .

Verena hat uns Porto und deren Geschichte in ca. 3 Stunden sehr kurzweilig und informativ näher gebracht. Die Tour führte auch abseits der ausgetretenen Touristenpfade entlang. Fragen wurden jederzeit beantwortet und auch nach der Führung gab es noch Tipps zu Porto und Umgebung. Diese Stadtführung kann man zu 100 % weiterempfehlen.

Best tour ever, Hugo is the best and all the stops were so fun. So hard to choose between all the Douro valley tour options but this one is a sure bet. 100% a good time.

Was für ein toller Zufall, dass wir Verena als Guide für einen kulinarischen Stadtrundgang gefunden haben und wir in der kürze der Zeit die wichtigsten Speisen und die authentischen Lokale nahe gebracht bekommen haben. Nebenbei waren wir auch ziemlich satt hinterher. Das spontan gebuchte Highlight war der Tagesausflug ins Douro-Tal. perfekt getimed, sodass uns die großen Besucherströme erspart blieben. Die Landschaft war atemberaubend, das Essen toll und dabei wurde und unheimlich viel Wissen über Portugal und dessen Geschichte vermittelt. (Lasst euch die Geschichte mit den 355 Genzsteinen erzählen) Klare Empfehlung und jeden Taler wert. Danke. :-)

Meine Frau und ich haben die Stadtführung in Porto zu Fuß im Mai 2024 gebucht und sind immer noch begeistert. Unser Guide Verena hat diese 2 1/2 h sehr informativ und kurzweilig gestaltet. Wer an dieser Tour teilnimmt, braucht keinen Sightseeing-Bus oder Ähnliches mehr. Leider (vor allem für Verena) ist Ihr Angebot manchmal schwer zu finden. Juan was great, we had some excellent port and learned a lot about the region. Great little boat cruise. The lunch is a highlight; super authentic in a little homestead on the border of the port and vino verde areas. 10/10 would recommend!

Eine besondere, eine positiv besondere Erfahrung die wir mit Verena, einem der beiden Köpfe des Unternehmens am 17.04.2024 in Porto hatten. Gebucht über Get Your guide hatten wir die Tour Porto Highlights, Juwelen und Kuriositäten ursprünglich für den 16.04.. Dieser Termin musste kurzfristig verschoben werden. Die Kommunikation erfolgte sehr schnell und erfolgreich über whatsapp. Am Tag selbst fing es mit einem perfekten Parkhinweis an. In Folge erlebten wir eine mehr als 2,5stündige Tour durch Porto die besondere Dinge aufzeigte. Sehr positiv auch, dass Verena immer wieder nach individuellen Vorlieben und Wünschen fragte und entsprechend agierte. Insgesamt eine beeindruckende Zeit mit Ihr. We booked this trip last minute and it couldn t have been better. Hugo was an incredible guide. He was very knowledgeable, explaining the history and basics of the region s wines. We did the full day Douro Valley Wine Tasting tour with Hugo today and it was beyond fantastic. Hugo is super knowledgeable about the region and the different wines, and made things so fun. The van was clean, the food was great, and the wine was delicious. Overall a very relaxing and a great escape from the busy cities. I would highly recommend this tour with Hugo to anyone who wants to explore and learn about the history of the Douro Valley and experience some of its best ports and wine!

We did this tour yesterday 20/05/23 and from start to finish it was amazing. Verenas knowledge and manner of imparting it is second to none. She has a wonderful knowledge of the region, even on our way out of Porto, she gave us so much information. She took us to lesser known wineries but the attention we received was outstanding. We had lunch at an old Manor house where the wine flowed freely and we got to taste fabulous 10, 20 and 30 year old ports. The 3 course meal was amazing.The views were spectacular. Such a lovely small group of 8 and we all got on like we were friends for years. I believe Verena was the catalyst in this. If you are thinking of going to the Douro valley, this is the trip for you

Ganz unbeschwert und individuell hatten wir eine sehr schöne Tour durch Porto mit der Stadtführerin Verena. Sie hat uns schöne Details nahegebracht und hat alle Fragen souverän gemeistert. N hésitez plus et réservez ici! Hugo est un guide exemplaire, attentif et attentionné. Il nous a conduit vers non seulement des sites incroyables en histoire et en saveurs mais il a ponctue notre voyages de sites panoramique incroyables. Aucune presse, zéro stress. La croisière était formidable également, bref, on s est senti pris en charge adéquatement tout au long de la journée. Apportez un chandail, la météo est changeante dans le Douro :) Le fait de faire ce périple en petit groupe wt sous la supervision de Hugo nous a permis de tisser des liens avec les autres membres du groupe et vivre une expérience complète. Sans hésiter; nous recommandons Viva Douro Tours et Hugo pour arpenter les routes sinueuses du Douro pour partir à la découverte des joyeux de ce coin de pays. Les dégustations étaient excellentes; dans des décors enchanteurs et le repas était simple mais débordant de saveurs! Ça en valait le coup d un bout a l autre!

What a wonderful small group tour. Hugo was amazing and so knowledgeable. Great wineries, boat ride, lovely lunch at a beautiful winery in the Duoro Valley. Just terrific. Would highly recommend. Absolutely stunning!
