Booked a car with this company, only to hear 2 days later that it was canceled. Be cautious because many deals on this website may seem like a good deal, but they might turn out to be "not real." It's really disappointing, especially since I already booked connecting hotels around this car and can't change them anymore. Now I'm 200-300 euros out of pocket. :(
The van was well priced and precisely as what we expected. Other than a glitch with Alamo in that the Van was only 3/4 full of gas (and I would have been charged as though it was given to us full), the auto rental went fairly smoothly. The only other negative was the fact that the rear seats in this 15 passenger van did not fold making it rather difficult to get luggage inside the van. Otherwise, the check in and check out was quick and professional.
My advice to you is never use this company. When I went to the reception to pick up my pre-booked car, it was not there and they did not give me another one instead. Moreover, when I contacted the agent, he said that I should take any other available car from another agency, apply for a refund, and they will give me a refund. In the end, no one gave me back the difference in the money spent. It was all a lie.
*********AVOID*******SCAM********** Very poor service I received in Tenerife South. The car company Click&Rent supposed to send shuttle bus. As it was 24/12/2024, they closed early, probably looked for us nearer to 6pm. We were held up for sometimes in the plane and with the border checking, we came out just after 7pm. We first time visited, asked other shuttle people where to wait for them. Then started waiting at stop 4 for long. Then called to the office. No response what so ever. Spoke to 2 different persons from road side assistance section of the same company. They refused to help. I said we are from abroad, first time here, you are from same company, why don't you inform someone that we are waiting. No help, we hired taxi and called to office next day on 25/12. Again no answer. I explained everything to discover car. They refused to help too. first they say, car company called us, though no proof, no miscall on my phone, no email communication. Then they said we called just after 2 hours of collection time, though I clearly mentioned I waited for shuttle bus sometimes then called. They both trying to digest my around £300 for nothing, no car, no service. Be careful. Do not get in trap.
I found everything easy from start to finish! Big Boy Car Rentals do everything they possibly can to excel in customer service. When I initially booked somehow the booking dates were inaccurate. Danica was incredibly helpful and fixed my reservation for me. The airport shuttle was quick for both arrival and departure. It really helps knowing that I didn't have to figure out additional transportation! Sincerely loved it! I'm from the United States and used to having to drive defensively no matter where I am. I was very impressed with the driving culture in Australia. Posted speed limits are followed (though sometimes it's very hard to tell what the speed limit is in certain areas), people are very friendly about accommodating turn signals, and while I witnessed some mistakes on the road (my own and others) everyone was very polite. I highly recommend overall!

We hired a car at 12:30am for 2 whole weeks, I drove 1344 miles/2164 km and had the most perfect time for SUCH an amazing price. The car was clean, drove so smoothly and WOW did it help us. The car was returned in the same way that we took it, with a full tank of fuel and my deposit was cancelled/back with me so quickly. 2 weeks of heaven in Madeira, super thankful to Marcio for making this happen. We booked a car rental from them in Mauritius. We made the payment it got deducted from our account we called the number to take the car . They clearly said that no cars are available on the dates I booked they told this website will refund your amount by 48 hours it s been a month they have not refunded the amount and saying that u didn t come to take car on the date that is a clear lie and playing on mails with us that we are checking . I suffered a loss of inr 32000 please I suggest you not to book through this discover cars . Com as they are theif and won t return your money back please think n read this carefully.

It s a scam! I book a car, rental company was rated high. Then when we wanted pick up our car at the airport there was no option to contact rental company. Discover cars was not helpfull at all. We were left with no car / money that we paid. Is now over a month an still did not get my money back not for the car that did not exist not for the additional cost that I was force to pay due to Discover Car service!

Booked a car at discover cars they told me everything was payed for including insurance. When I came on Tenerife I had to pay goldcar another 170 euros 120% of the total price before I got the car. I won t book another car with them

A plataforma tem uma vantagem ótima de visualizarmos os carros de todas as Cias de aluguéis de carro e isso ajuda muito. Contratei um seguro, sendo o mais total possível já pela plataforma, mas o time de Avis não deu muita confiança no seguro contratado e me ofereceram um seguro adicional, mas eu não aceitei e fiquei com o que eu contratei inicialmente. O atendente de Roma foi excelente, apesar de ter me oferecido um seguro adicional. Fizemos um upgrade de carro por 10 euros por dia e achei o preço bem justo....foi bom ter pego um carro maior, apesar dele ter um consumo maior também. Achei que a devolução em Munich seria só até às 5:00pm, mas o carro pode ser devolvido até às 9:00pm, entâo eu não precisaria ter corrido tanto como eu corri para entregar o carro às 4:45pm com meio tanque de combustível, então faltou comunicação na retirada do carro em Roma. As batidas/estragos do carro são colocadas em um papel, mas sem muitos detalhes e isto me trouxe um pouco de insegurança na devolução(sem incidentes e riscos no carro),pois achei que eles poderiam me responsabilizar,mas OK A viagem foi sensacional, recomendo que os demais viajantes cogitem sempre fazer os trajetos de carro, pois dessa forma consegue-se aproveitar bastante.

Please use google tanslate and read this review ( norwegian-english) never use this place! Ble fortalt at jag ikke fikk bilen på grund att jag må ha tredje parts forsikring. Allt skulle vare inkludert, det stog til og med att jag hade rett att si nei til ekstre forsikkring. Og jag sa nei flere gånger men fikk ikke bilen viss ikke. Det dummeste jag gjorde var att ta denne bilen og betale, jag kontaktet deress kontor og dei skulle ordne opp. No har det gått 2 uker uten svar eller løsning. Og då spurte jag om jag kunnet levere bilen tilbake. Då sa dei du kan leverer tilbake bilen men du får ikke pengerne tilbake før ubrukt tid. Jag skal vare här i 2 månader... så det e en del penger som jag redan betalt.. Aldrig bruk dette firma eller bestill via DiscoverCars.com. samt ansatte var sykt utrevlige og rett og slett slemme.

No intentaron timarnos vendiéndonos seguros extras, nos ofrecieron uno extra a todo riesgo a parte del que teníamos incluido con franquicia pero sin presionar, repetiría 100%! Y cerraba tarde, a las 23:30 por lo que pudimos coger nuestro coche al llegar

Auto gehuurd bij Goldcar in Malaga via Discovercars.com. Goldcar is een niet te vertrouwen bedrijf, verhuren autos voor bizar lage prijzen maar verdienen achteraf door schimmige praktijken alles terug. Ik heb 50,- boete moeten betalen + 14,- benzine kosten omdat de auto niet met een volle tank ingeleverd zou zijn. Dit zijn keiharde leugens ik heb de auto keurig volgetankt ingeleverd. Ik hoop dat Discovercars als tussenpersoon nog wat kan betekenen, normaal gesproken reserveer ik altijd graag mijn autos via Discovercars.

Probably I will not be allocated any car at the pick up desk. Discovercars has not responded to my claims and reminders. Discoverclaims lied on Trustpilot, pretending the reservation is existing

As someone who works for the Canadian Government, do not rent from this company. They over charged me $600 and will not return my messages/phone calls.
Not recommended. Untrustworthy website. I was referred to a rental company in Miami, USA called renta car florida, which charged a different rate than the one shown on the discover car website. A total of $650 was charged over the amount published on the website. A letter of complaint two months ago has not yet been answered, despite reminders. November 2024

A fuite arnaque on m a obligé à me faire payer un parking car il on pas de bureau à intérieur de aéroport dont cela n était pas mentionné dans les conditions de plus on me fait payer 5,37 de commission pour la restitution de la caution c est un scandale car moi qui a par habitude de louer avec eux la caution est restitué sur place sans frais donc dommage que cette forme d arnaque qui prend en otage les clients ils vont rapidement changer de plate-forme qui sont plus honnête donc je ne recommande pas pour c est raison invoquer

Discover cars sold me insurance that wouldnt cover my car rental. I was made to purchase additional insurance. It was during a snow storm and I called discover cars within 24 hours of renting the car but they would not refund the insurance. I was told by the car rental company that discover cars always sells insurance that is not applicable for the rental car. I am very disappointed with the service and would not recommend Discover cars to anybody. The fact that they would not refund insurance that cant be used in the first place is shady business. Avoid this website at all costs or you could fall victim to the scam!

MEXICO - DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM HERE!! We had a terrible experience during our vacation in Mexico, Playa del Carmen. We booked a car online and paid a deposit in advance. However, when we arrived at the rental shop, they told us the car wasn t available. Along with us, there were FIVE other families in the same situation. The truth? The car was available, but they demanded we pay FOUR TIMES the original price. After speaking with locals and people who have worked in car rentals, we found out this is a common scam. Online prices are lower, but they prioritize tourists who show up in person and charge them much more. The staff treated us terribly, the customer service was non-existent, and we lost two full days of our vacation trying to figure this out. We were forced to take buses to get around. And to make things worse, they still refuse to refund us! Save yourself the stress and avoid this company at all costs.
Io e la mia ragazza partendo dall Italia per il Messico, abbiamo noleggiato una macchina online, pagando un anticipo, che tutt oggi ancora non ci e stato restiutito! Arrivati in messico, siamo andati alla concessonaria di auto per prendere la macchina e il propietario dell officina ci ha detto che non aveva piu macchine disponibili, ho chiesto spiegazioni ma si sono lavati le mani, ho chiamato alla compagnia DISCOVER CARS ma anche loro si sono lavati le mani. Esperienza pessima, non prendete la macchina, perche fanno sempre questi giochini, quando arrivi sul posto la macchina non ce e vogliono farti pagare un supplemento per dartela.

We took the car slightly before the agreed time as we had predicted more time at the airport to be on the safe side. Upon return, we were slightly late but Otmane was very courteous and kind. Great customer service. Keep it up!

In Dubai auto gehuurd via Discover cars. Bij aankomst is de auto niet vol getankt geleverd en de verhuurder Quicklease had een hogere koers gerekend bij de betaling. Er word doodleuk tegen mij gezegd dat het aan mijn bank ligt, terwijl ik hierover met mijn bank contact over had gehad dat zij niets hebben gerekend via mijn creditcard. Eindstand ben ik meer dan 50 euro kwijt voor de rest betaling ter plaatsen en wacht nog steeds 3 weken op teruggave van mijn borg. Bij de terugbetaling zal ik ook waarschijnlijk een deel van mijn geld missen. Huur hier nooit, want zowel discover cars and quicklease komen niet met een oplossing.

Z karty kredytowej zosta o nam zablokowane 300 euro,nawet gdy mieli my wykupione pelne ubezpieczenia.Ale kwota po zdaniu samochodu wróci a ca a po 10 dniach. Obs uga na lotnisku przy odbiorze auta na najwy szym poziomie. Wypozyczalnia otwarta do 23 ,a nasz samolot mia opó nienie 20 minut. Nie by o problemu ,bo na lotnisku czeka na nas bardzo sympatyczny Pan z tego biura. Tak e polecam w 100%

El servicio de atención es lamentable, no tienes un teléfono de contacto, sólo un chatbot que no soluciona nada. Si intentas contactar con ellos a través de la opción de mensaje para que te respondan por mail, te vas quedar esperando. Nada recomendable, además de que es inútil, la misma reserva puedes hacerla a través de las empresas de alquiler.

If taking out full premium insurance be aware when picking up the rental in Turkey you will be forced to purchase additional insurance. If you do not agree to buy additional insurance then the rental providers card machine will conveniently stop working while they continue to try and sell the insurance. While you are stuck they take advantage of you being out in the sticks. You just want to get out of there so agree to pay for the additional insurance or you are stuck and like magic the card machine suddenly starts working. Avoid using this organisation!! Back to Goldcar for me.
