Todo correcto. Después de ver malas reseñas de otros lugares de alquiler, nos decantamos por este debido a las reseñas. Sin necesidad de dejar fianza y se puede pagar con tarjeta de debito. Tuvimos que esperar un poco porque habia mucha gente pero ningun mayor inconveniente.

English: I rented the car just few days before arrival (Dacia Sandero with manual gearbox), the owner was friendly and shared some hints how to spare a car in the rough terrain of Madeira. The returning of the car was in a friendly manner as well. The price was lower compared to other car rentals.

Nous avons loué une voiture pour une durée de 6 jours. La voiture était très récentes et fonctionnait parfaitement. L aide au démarrage en côte est très appréciable sur l île de madère . Transport depuis l aéroport au lieu de location est un véritable plus ! Accueil chaleureux et sympathique , si nous devions revenir nous relouerons au même endroit.

A really very good car rental company, quick and uncomplicated. We had a Seat Ibiza that was very well maintained and close to being new. Paulo was very friendly and very flexible regarding the delivery time. Gladly again at any time.

Paulo and his team were a big highlight of our trip in Madeira because of their honest and quick car rental service. At some point in the middle of the night, we had a small accident on the road, but Paulo gave us all the support and transportation necessary. The next day, he even drove us around the island and to our last accommodation as a kind gesture and help for 2 young travelers.

Nous avons loué une voiture très récente pour 2 jours fin octobre. La veille pour le lendemain, ils sont très agréables et arrangeants. Il est venu nous chercher à lhôtel pour faire les papiers et nous a ramené lors du retour de la voiture. Service irréprochable et personnel disponible.

Paulo est très réactif et serviable, il est venu nous chercher au port à notre sortie du bateau avec la voiture puis nous avons déposé la voiture à son office et il nous a conduit à laéroport ! La voiture est très propre et parfaite pour 2 personnes avec un super turbo ( nous avons reçu une voiture plus puissante que celle réservé ). Je recommande les services de Express Car rental ! We pre-booked a car for a week in Madeira in late October 24 from Express Car Rental whose depot is about 15 mins from the airport. On landing in late afternoon, contact with the company was straightforward. It had been a busy day for the company, who had to manage several delayed flights, but Paolo, who owns the business, came to collect us faster than anticipated and we were on the road with a free upgrade in no time at all. We drove a brand new Dacia Sandero which was a terrific wee car with ideal gearing for the steep roads you don t want, or need, a big car in Madeira! Paolo gave the most comprehensive and thorough instruction on how to use the car in a way that was focussed and more effective than any other carhire experience I have ever had. (Normally you get the keys and sort yourself out.) He made sure we had the iphone set up for navigation before we left. Driving was completely trouble free and straightforward. On returning the car, Paolo`s wife took us back to the airport quickly and efficiently, and its easier to find their depot in a quieter suburb than the bustle of an airport. In summary, this is a very friendly and well run Family business where customer service was never compromised, and it was a pleasure to do business with them .The price- very important! - was also the best we were quoted, so I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone looking to hire a car in Madeira. ( I wish this company would set up in Venice where they desperately need instruction in customer management!!)

Die Kommunikation war von Anfang an klar und transparent alle Details zum Fahrzeug, Mietvertrag, Versicherungen sowie die Abhol- und Rückgabeprozesse wurden verständlich erklärt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist Paulos Flexibilität: Er hat uns sogar vom Flughafen abholen lassen und uns bei der Rückgabe wieder persönlich dorthin gebracht. Der Mietpreis war absolut fair, ohne versteckte Kosten. Der gesamte Mietprozess verlief reibungslos und fair. Paulo war stets freundlich, professionell und sehr hilfsbereit. Absolute Empfehlung!

Very friendly and efficient service!

Paulo was great, the car performed well and he was super helpful and responsive. However the breaks had a tendency to overheating which in a island like Madeira could be a bit tricky at times. At arrival we were told we had to pay an extra supplement for insurance unless we wanted our card frozen. (Which we didn t read on the site, apparently it was written i just hope they ll do a better job showcasing it in the future) We got picked up at the airport after midnight and had to pay an extra 30 euros (over the 30 prepaid for pickup) because of late pickup (which again wasn t specified on the site). Other than that the gas tank wasn t full, only 4/5th of the way and the reasoning wasn t clear. Other than these few misteps in their service the car was good, we got upgraded with a better car and things went smoothly. Ill put 4/5 stars but it s more of a 3.9. Either way more than sufficient.

Ils sont venu nous chercher à laéroport comme convenu et nous ont également ramener à lheure convenu. Ils nous ont bien aidé dans certaines démarches également. Ce couple est très gentil et accueillant. Nhésitez pas à passer par leurs services. De plus le véhicule que nous avons eu à disposition était quasiment neuf et en très bon état. Enfin le prix de la location pour 10 j, à dépassé toute concurrence .

Die Mietwagenpreise waren günstig und die Übergabe war einfach und unkompliziert. Ich empfehle das Unternehmen wärmstens weiter.

Cant say I was neither happy or dissatisfied. First, when we arrived for the car there was a lady who offered us a 15euros a day insurance which was a bit surprising, because not having this additional insurance meant that every little scratch on the car will cost 2200 euros - her words. Having this insurance meant paying maximum of 366 euros when accident would happen. After agreeing to this she checked the car for literally even the smallest scratches possible, even using her phone camera for showing us the bottom parts of the car. Imagine the stress driving a car in the foreign country (LIKE MADEIRA!) under terms like these. Not mentioning that she didnt even tell us about huge scratches in the front. In the meanwhile car was riding very good, no problems at all. On the last day, heading to Jardim Monte Palace, there was a huge steep road heading there, we had a problem with a clutch - the car literally stopped working. Trying to get the car moving in the worst place possible I scratched the plastic disc on the rear wheel. Called Mr. Paulo, who was very disturbed by these news, telling me these are very dangerous roads and I never should have come there even though maps recommend it (no one told me before). Paid additional 91 euros for the disc. Better than 2200 tbh.

Je viens de réaliser qu il y a de mauvais commentaires sur ce loueur et vraiment, je suis très surprise car cette petite agence de location est fiable pour louer une voiture à Madère ! Nous avons loué une voiture pour une semaine entière et le prix était pour ainsi dire imbattable. La voiture n était pas neuve (et je préfère cela ainsi, moins stressant pour moi) mais avait été révisée et fonctionnait très bien. Nous avons également pu profiter du transport depuis l aéroport vers l agence (qui effectivement n est pas un local commercial donnant directement sur la rue). Paulo nous a donné toutes les explications sur le contrat et l assurance ; à notre humble avis : honnêteté et efficace sont les bons mots pour cette agence. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés.

Extremely happy with our service. Paulo was amazing. Our flight had been delayed but he still waited for us and kept in contact with us. When he couldn t pick us up from the airport, he picked us up directly from our hostel. When we realized we had booked a manual vehicle by accident instead of an automatic, he was able to find us an automatic vehicle to rent in minutes. Do not rent with this company. When we got to their garage they insisted that I should take out their additional (and expensive) CDW coverage, despite me repeatedly informing them that I already had comprehensive third-party excess reimbursement coverage for vehicle rentals. Then, in order to try and pressure me into buying their CDW, they insisted that I had to leave a +2,000 deposit! Completely excessive and a deceptive practice, I will not make the mistake of renting with them again.

Despues de comparar diferentes opciones para alquilar coche nos decidimos por esta. Tanto la reserva como la recogida del coche muy buen trato y sin ningún problema. Cogimos la opcion de recogida en el aeropuerto y fue genial, al llegar avise y a los 5 minutos ya nos llevo hacia la oficina para alquilar el coche. Sin ninguna duda recomendable 100% por el trato familiar que hay.

Première fois que j avais l occasion de louer une voiture, et sur les conseils d amis nous n avons pas été déçus! Paulo a été très amical avec nous, en nous expliquant les moindres détails et tout a fonctionné comme sur des roulettes. Nous avons eu une Seat Ibiza récente qui nous a conquis pour la durée de notre séjour, nous permettant d accéder à nimporte quel endroit sans soucis. Compagnie plus qu honnête, avec des prix à en faire baver la concurrence. Si j avais un point à relever est que l agence n est pas assez bien référencée, alors qu elle le mérite. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Haben das Auto online vor unserer Ankunft gebucht und mussten nur einen Teil des Mietpreises als Kaution hinterlegen, während andere Anbieter eine Kaution von teilweise 2500 Euro nehmen. Da viel Betrieb war haben wir sogar ein kostenloses Upgrade auf ein anderes Auto mit mehr PS bekommen, was gerade bei den Straßen auf Madeira sehr hilfreich war. Service war auch top, wurden sogar vom Inhaber zur nächstgelegenen Bushaltestelle gefahren damit wir nach Funchal weiterkönnen. Wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder

Good service, suitable car, to use to visit madeira

Afgelopen week hebben we een Renault Megane gehuurd. De eigenaar waar we ook een studio, Cristo Rei Rentals -Vivenda Freitas, hebben gehuurd kwam ons ophalen van het vliegveld. De auto heeft ons deze week, ruim 700 km, gebracht waar we naar toe wilde zonder enige problemen. De communicatie verliep prima en qua prijs was het niet duur. Toen de week om was werden we keurig weggebracht naar het vliegveld. Bedankt voor alle goede zorgen!!

Highly recommend this rental service. Very professional and friendly. We booked a Nissan Micra turbo which was being serviced when we arrived so we were kindly upgraded to a Dacia jeep. This was such a blessing - as you really need a big engine for the steep hills and narrow roads of the Madeira mountains. Their main office is right beside a beautiful viewing point also, so its a great way to begin your stay in Madeira!

We are very satisfied with renting a car from Express Car Rental. We got a new Citroen C3 which handled all the steep roads on the island with no problems. Paulo picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. We called him upon landing. He was at the airport immediately (within 10 minutes). He was very responsive.

La experiencia fue muy buena la verdad. El primer día pagamos la recogida del aeropuerto que era entorno a 20 euros más o así y nos vino a buscar para llevarnos hasta su oficina/casa en la que nos explicó todo sin problema. El coche que nos dio fue un Opel Corsa prácticamente nuevo con menos de tres mil kilómetros que podía hacer frente sin problema a las enormes cuestas de algunas zonas de Madeira. En cuanto al precio éramos cuatro personas y para unos seis días nos salió entorno a 80 persona. El coche hizo muy bien su papel y en cuanto te acostumbras a como son las carreteras en madeira puedes visitar toda la isla sin problema alguno. En nuestro caso visitamos toda la isla durante la semana y no nos dio ningún problema. Además el último día estuvo muy pendiente de nosotros para poder dejar el coche sin problema ya que nuestro vuelo salia muy pronto. Lo recomiendo

Vesela sva bila, ko sva videla, da je nova, vendar pa sva bila ele prav vesela takrat, ko sva prvi za la v te nevsakdanje strme ulice. Brez turbo pogona in najine male Dacie zagotovo ne bi videla tistih najlep ih koti kov prelepe Madeire. In za konec naju je gospod Paulo zapeljal e nazaj na letali e. Res priporo am!!!!!!!!!!

Highly recommend Express after 10 days in Madeira. We recently travelled from Canada to this beautiful Island and we are already planning our next trip back. Our wonderful experience can only be attributed to the affordable turbo beast we rented from Paulo. Our trip started off with him arranging to pick us up at the airport and educating us a bit on Madeira driving. The streets are narrow and sometimes on a deep incline, so we were grateful for his insight. During our 10 days we drove all over the Island, top to bottom and east to west all without a hitch. We dropped the car off and he again arranged to drop us off at the airport. Excellent communication, very personable and great attention to detail. It is not a big company and that is what we loved most about our experience. Having travelled to mainland Portugal many times, we have had bad experiences with big name companies trying to upsell extra insurance etc. One company tried to bill our credit card days after we had already returned the vehicle and signed off. With Paulo, you get honesty and integrity. 100% without any hesitation we will visit Paulo again.

Da wir noch einige Fragen hatten, haben wir also zuvor telefoniert und Paulo hat uns im Vorfeld alle Fragen beantwortet. We rented for 6 days and it could not have gone any better. We were picked up at the airport in our car. That gave us an opportunity to get comfortable with it & he showed us all about it. The car was new & clean! We enjoyed driving the crazy roads of Madeira! There were no issues. When we texted him, he was quick to answer any and all questions. It was all so easy & convenient! He drove us back to the airport upon our departure. I d rent again when we return.

Paulo was the friendliest person on the island. With an excellent attitude he helped us with our reservation thoroughly and suggestions too. The car was fantastic, brand new corsa with android auto, no complains. As a suggestion, take a car with better horsepower if you are going up hiking trails to the peaks.

Ho noleggiato con Express Car Rental per 5 giorni! Consegna dell auto in aeroporto con Paulo che ci è venuto a prendere con estrema puntualità. Check in e consegna dell auto presso l ufficio che si trova davanti al Cristo Rei. L auto era una Fiat Panda Hybrid con neanche 3000km totali, nuova di zecca. Per il drop-off ci è stata data la possibilità di parcheggiare l auto direttamente in aeroporto senza alcun costo aggiuntivo avendo acquistato ritiro e ritorno in aeroporto. Tutto è andato per il meglio e Paulo è stato molto gentile! Consigliato :)

We arrived in Madeira without a car reservation in advance. We are very glad that we decided to go with Express Car Rental. Although the availability of cars was low, but Mr. Paulo recommended and found a compact crossover SUV Nissan Qashqai to us. We reserved the car in the afternoon, picked it up the next day at the agreed time. After returning the car, Mr. Paulo drove us to the hotel. Unbelievable and very pleasant!!! À FUIR !!! Si j avais pu mettre 0 étoile, je l aurais fait ! J ai beaucoup voyagé et je n ai jamais eu un tel service. Ce sont tout simplement des escrocs à fuir ! Nous avons reservé une voiture pour 6 jours et nous avons payé un supplément pour la récupérer et la déposer à l aéroport. Nous avons également souscris à la plus haute assurance. Déjà le site ne fonctionnait pas nous avons donc dû payer via un lien externe. À l arrivée, on nous ramène une voiture différente et « mieux » car la voiture que nous avons réservé a un problème mécanique ! « Il est trop dangereux de rouler avec la voiture que nous avions réservée » d après le gérant. (Ce détail est important) Il ne nous a pas informé avant, mais dans l option payante pour récupérer la voiture à l aéroport, nous devons aller à son agence pour le déposer et au retour nous devons aller le chercher avant notre vol et nous payons ce service 40 ! La blague ! Il nous informe que la voiture qu il nous donne est mieux, la voiture a « 7mois » elle est neuve. Nous partons avec, tout se passe bien sauf le dernier jour, la veille de notre départ, nous commençons à entendre un grincement. Nous pensons qu à cause des routes et des cailloux, il doit y avoir quelque chose dans les roues, donc nous allons la nettoyer. Le bruit est encore présent mais beaucoup moins fort. Nous avons rendez-vous le lendemain à 6:00 du matin pour rendre la voiture. Le lendemain le bruit recommence avec un bruit métallique en plus, il nous dit que les freins sont morts en 6 jours à cause de nous. Il nous assure que sa voiture a « 3mois » (le premier jour il a dit qu elle avait 7 mois !). Il dit que c est de la negligence de notre part. Pour ceux qui iront à Madère, les routes sont trop dangereuses pour pouvoir faire n importe quoi, vous êtes obligés de conduire prudemment! Les plaquettes de freins de cette voiture étaient forcément déjà complètement usées et mortes. Il menace d appeler la police, je lui dis de les appeler, il ne les appellera pas. Il nous oblige à payer 366 sinon nous n iront pas à l aéroport, il nous laissera au milieu de nulle part. Il nous informe que nous recevrons le contrôle technique dans la journée, nous n avons rien reçu. Une fois qu il a eu son argent, il nous a mis dans un taxis que nous avons payé. Nous avions payé l option pour être déposés à l aéroport, il ne nous a pas remboursé. Au final, la premiere voiture que nous devions avoir « avait un problème mécanique à cause des autres clients » et la voiture que nous avons eu a un problème mécanique « à cause de nous ». C est une arnaque, fuyez! Il en a plein d autres agences!

Wij hebben een splinternieuwe Dacia gekregen va Express carrental, prima auto om het eiland mee rond te rijden. Meest autos hebben Apple carplay en Android auto. Ideaal voor het navigeren. De auto kun je na de vakantie weer inleveren bij het vliegveld, maar de eigenaar van express Car rental woonde naast ons en heeft ons aangeboden om ons af te zetten bij het vliegveld. Top service, gaan hier als wij terug komen weer een auto huren. Tip: huur een auto, het geeft je enorme vrijheid om het eiland te verkennen en de diverse wandelroutes te bezoeken.

I visited Madeira from the 16th to 22 of April 2023, and tried to rent a car from this company. I received my booking confirmation from their website in PDF format with a mobile number for more information. Sadly, serial attempts to contact the company were unsuccessful, they did not reply nor via email nor via whatsapp nor via mobile phone (this was prior to arrival to Madeira in order to acquire additional information) and obviously, despite the booking confirmation, there was no car waiting for us in Madeira. Further on, while in Madeira, we walked to the address their office was supposed to be only to find a private living quarters without any references to a car rental agency. The worst part is, details of my credit card were required in order to book in advance. So far, the company has not subtracted money from my bank account but we will see in the end were this goes. Not a nice experience.

Excellent Car Rental service. We arrived in Madeira on 31/05 with a reservation for a scooter, but due to the weather, we decided at the last minute to get a car. We ended up having to find one without any advance booking. At the airport, they quoted us prices of over 250 for 4 days (with a credit card deposit, the usual hassle and also with insurance excluded). Fortunately, we found Express Car, which had a branch in Caniço, and we turned to them. The car was perfect, a Seat Ibiza with 75,000 km and no issues. All the damages where already on the system, so everything was tracked. Paulo provided exceptional assistance. He guided us step by step and even drove us back to the airport upon our return on the 04/06. A reputable agency. All-inclusive with insurance, and no type of deposit to leave, neither in cash nor with a credit card. What can I say... perfect. Highly recommended.

Superb service of the boss himself! Our payment did not go through and thus our car was cancelled, without knowing it. At our arrival, it took 25min to get a new car ready, perfect! We rented a Seat Ibiza in good condition and it was perfect for the island. At our departure, we could drop off the car at Cristo Rei (HQ) and inspect the car together. Afterwards the boss drove us to the airport, which was very handy! In short, perfect service and honest people!

Everything was simply excellent, simlpe and pleasant. The owner is a great person, easy to talk with. We got a new car (2000km of mileage), a Seat Ibiza which was perfectly fine, no issues what so ever. The car was delivered to our hotel at the requested hour, we were also driven back to the hotel after we returned the car. Our deposit was returned as soon as we gave the car back. I highly recommend this company to everyone.

We got a brand new Seat Ibiza for our stay in Madeira. A perfect car to discover the island. Paulo carefully guided us through the rental process step-by-step. Good communication in perfect English. Paulo drove us to Santa Cruz on our last day, a nice village to end your vacation. And most importantly, throughout the complete rental period Paulo felt like an honest man. We never got the feeling of a rip-off. I highly recommend this company.

Overall experience with Express Car Rental was positive and I would reccommend it for the reasons indicated below: - The car was fully tanked and clean inside and outside. - For a Seat Ibiza with 1.0 engine, I paid 60 /day including tax (55 per car + 5 for insurance) with unlimited mileage and with a maximum penalty fee of 366 for damage. - Paulo who assisted in car rental was very kind and helpful. After returning the car, he drove us back to our hotel. Im rating car rental 4 out of 5 stars because: - I did not receive a response to an email and message on WhatsApp regarding the availability of the car. Only by calling via WhatsApp on +351966890639 I received full information about car availability and price. - The car was barely able to drive uphill on a steep slope in first gear after a long drive. Very loud engine operation. The car had no power to go up and began to roll downhill. Which caused that I scratch the front bumper. For this I was charged of 152.50. Although for someone experienced in driving in Madeira - such as Paulo, it was not a problem to start car even on a steep hill >30%. My suggestions for those less experienced in driving in high hills >19%, I would suggest renting a car with more horsepower > 90KM or take (if possible) full insurance (without additional panelty) so that in the event of damage, you will not incur additional costs and will be able to fully explore Madeira, without worrying about challenging climbs and potential scratches. The company could offer a test drive before renting the car so that the customer could check whether the cars power is suitable for him or her and whether he or she is skilled enough to drive in mountainous terrain.

We rented a car from Paulo for 7 days to discover Madeira. The pickup from the airport was great, the car was excellent with good power for the steep roads and importantly CarPlay for easy navigation! We had to return the car late so we communicated with Paolo and arranged a later drop off than originally agreed which was fantastic! Thank you and see you again!

The car was a Seat Ibiza, it was very new, very clean, good engine and good brakes (exactly what you need for this island). After searching a day for the car rental I found this place. It was very easy to book a car from the site. We were picked up from the airport and drove to the office were we took the car to 23 days. The car was quite new with only 6000km and robust during all our vacation. Very happy and next time we visit island we will definitely come here again.

Pauolo picked us at our hotel, and kindly helped us with all details about the modern Seat we rented. He was very kind and punctual in all our aggreements. We had a good feeling about all aspects of the car rental. I would certainly recommend this company for a troublefree use of the car. I would recommend a good insurance since the roads can be quite steep; and village roads are norrow sometimes. We did not have any issues, so thanks Paoulo for using your car. We would defintely rent here for our next holiday .

Paulo leverde ons een gloednieuwe Seat Ibiza. Prachtige auto. En met de steile wegen op Madeira was een goede betrouwbare auto ook echt noodzakelijk. Het persoonlijke contact vond ik vooral fantastisch. Soms huur je in een land een auto en denk je: ik hoop dat dit ok is en dat ik nu geen oor aangenaaid krijg . Maar dat was met Paulo totaal niet het geval. Persoonlijk contact via whatsapp, auto stond klaar op de luchthaven en werd daar ook weer opgehaald door hem. Echt een aanrader om een auto bij hem te huren en een voorkeur te geven boven de grote bekende rental-company s.

Nous avons loué une Nissan Micra, par lintermédiaire de notre hôte Airbnb. Tout sest très bien passé, la voiture était quasi neuve, climatisée et facile à conduire (parfaite pour les montées de Madère !). Notre hôte nous a obtenu un prix raisonnable pour la saison. Aucun problème, le service était très bon.

I rented the car from the 5th to the 15th of august and we really liked the service. They were punctual and clear with explanation and the car was in optimal conditions.

Good price, good car with enough power. What I disliked was that the car was quarter full when we got it and it is a pain to calculate how much gas should I put in to not be too much. The office location is also far, between Funchal and the airport. So if somebody prefers to not pay for the airport transfer needs to keep this in mind.

We rented a Nissan Micra from this company. Prices are fair, and the owner gave us helpful tips on how to avoid damaging the car. The car was in good condition, and we had no problems driving on the steep hills of Madeira. Book the car in advance on the internet!

Great rental. Nice owner, explained everything, gave a discount. When we had a problem with the brakes it was also fixed without complications. Additionally, Paulo drove us to the airport at the end of our stay. I highly recommend.

Wonderful experience

Great rental experience: Paolo was very responsive since we called him just a day before arriving to Madeira. Last minute booking was uncomplicated through phone/WhatsApp. He picked us up on the airport and on the day of departure drove us there again. A very personalized service and the best off all you don t need a credit card (we just own debit). The car was in great conditions and brought us everywhere on the island. We highly recommend this service.

Der beste Autovermieter denn wir je hatten. Da wird man wirklich als Kunde behandelt. Alles war so unkompliziert und die vielen Tipps bei der Übergabe waren Goldwert. Fantastischer Service und Mega freundlich. Paolo hat sich super informiert und uns am Flughafen abgeholt und bei der Rückgabe wieder dort hin gebracht. Excellent service from Paulo and the Express car rental team. Was upgraded to a bigger car due to the original vehicle being damaged by the previous hirer; this became a lifesaver due to the hills in Madeira. I highly recommend this company and will be using them again on my return to Madeira.
