Während miete alles Top, allerdings wurde uns nach 2 Wochen plötzlich 35 euro von der Karte abgezogen und sie schrieben ich hätte die jungfahrergebühr nicht gezahlt, welche ich definitiv gezahlt habe.

Wir waren am Anfang etwas skeptisch was diese Autovermietung betrifft. Zum einen aufgrund der schlechten Bewertungen, aber auch weil das Personal bei der Abholung des Autos unfreundlich und nicht sehr professionell war. Das Auto war okay. Es hatte mehr Macken als im Vertrag angegeben, aber wir haben vorher zur Absicherung Fotos von dem ganzen Auto gemacht. Das Auto (Mitsubishi Space Car) war für manche Strecken etwas ungeeignet, bzw. hatten wir manchmal Angst, dass das Auto manche steilen Straßen nicht schafft. Es hat aber alles funktioniert. Für den Preis war es eigentlich top. Bei der Abgabe trafen wir dann auf sehr nettes Personal. Es lief alles reibungslos, es wurden uns keine Macken am Auto angehängt und wir bekamen bei dem Abschluss des Vertrages die Kaution wieder. Wir waren, nachdem wir die ganzen Bewertungen gelesen haben, ziemlich am zweifeln, aber es hat sich alles zum Guten gewendet. Wir sind also alles in allem zufrieden und geben deshalb 4 Sterne.

Haben ein Auto bekommen, welches 2 Tage später in die Werkstatt musste, nicht wegen uns. Wir wurden während des Urlaubs angerufen, sollten es jetzt heute Abend noch zu ihnen bringen, abgeholt wurde es nicht.. waren 1h weg von dem Ort und wurden auch noch darauf hingewiesen es noch voll zu tanken und hatten eh schon keine Zeit eigtl da wir für den Abend noch Pläne hatten- zum Glück haben wir erst getankt und der Tank war voller als wir es bekommen haben. Danach haben wir ein neues Auto bekommen. Aber schon spannend, wir sollen es bringen sind insgesamt 90 km unnötig wegen den gefahren und ja tankt aber auch ja noch voll.. Bei der endgültigen Rückgabe war das Auto vollgetankt, voller als es beim Abholen war. Es hieß es ist voll, wir sollen es auch wieder voll zurückbringen- gut, dass wir ein Foto gemacht haben, das Auto war nicht voll (600km Reichweite, voll war es bei uns bei 780km Reichweite..). Haben es auch gleich der Agentur geschrieben, wo es hieß ok bringt es so einfach zurück wie es jetzt war. Hatten vllt 30km rausgefahren von der Tankstelle bis zur Rückgabe des Autos und dann hieß es erstmal, dass das Auto nicht vollgetankt war und hatten ewig Diskussionen- gut dass wir die Nachricht hatten und auch das Foto, nach 15 min Diskussion dass es voll sein muss bla bla, wurde es irgendwann akzeptiert dass eh schon mehr drin war 2x aber ohne die Fotos keine Chance. 1. Auto währen des Aufenthalts umtauschen zu müssen, Zeitaufwand und dann muss es sofort sein. Kein Entgegenkommen - die brauchen das Auto, dann könnten sie es auch abholen oder rechtzeitig organisieren, welche Autos wann in die Werkstatt müssen. 2. Diskussionen beim Abgeben, des Autos - nur dank unserer Fotos und Nachrichten wurde es geklärt.. 3. wurde alles persönlich mit dem Chef geklärt, aber er hat wohl niemand was weitergeben, da beim Umtausch des Autos niemand Bescheid wusste, genauso niemand Bescheid wusste beim Auto abgeben. Keine Empfehlung!

Autovermieter AutoUnion ist absolut nicht zu empfehlen! Haben uns einen Wagen mit über 14 Vorschäden zur Verfügung gestellt. Kupplung kurz vor dem Exodus, Berge nur im ersten Gang erreicht. Vermittlung spricht kein Deutsch und erklärt somit auch nur lückenhaft. Lasst die Finger weg von dieser Autovermietung!!!

Wypo yczalnia godna uwagi! Zdecydowanie konkurencyjne ceny, szczególnie w porównaniu do sieciówek takich jak Centauro - zdecydowanie taniej ok 55%. Dobra flota samochodowa, nowe samochody, czyste i zadbane. Jedynie przy wi kszej ilo ci osób trzeba chwil odczeka na odbiór samochodu. Polecam!

Lief alles rund bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten: 1. Am Flughafen war der Shuttlebus schon weg, allerdings nach einem Anruf war das geklärt und keine 10 Minuten später war der nächste Bus da 2. Die motorkontrollleuchte leuchtete, ist aber den Vermietern bekannt und ist kein Einzelfall bei Renault clio (sind alle berge gut hochgekommen und hat uns nicht weiter eingeschränkt) 3. Bestätigungsmails kommen alle nur in portugiesisch 4. Wir haben über check24 gebucht und somit mit Vollkasko ohne Selbstbeteiligung, am Schalter wurde uns dann nochmal eine Versicherung gegen Aufpreis angeboten (das haben wir abgelehnt). Nachdem wir 2 Wochen und 1.000 km gefahren sind, das Auto zurück gaben und alles gepasst hat, kann ich nicht bewerten wie der Ablauf eines schadenfalles wäre. Alles in allem aber unkompliziert und freundliches Personal!

Es muy triste tener que dar estas puntuaciones por el trato de la gente. A veces se puede entender el fondo, pero para nada las formas de dirigirse a las personas, nefasta la actitud de la chica. Nos pasó al devolver el vehículo en la oficina cerca del aeropuerto. Nos dijeron que sería llegar, dejar el coche e irnos. Debido a la mala suerte que a veces uno en la vida tiene, llegamos un poco justos de tiempo para ir al aeropuerto y cuando llegó el momento de entregar el coche, nos daba la sensación de que no íbamos a llegar al vuelo por lo que le dijimos a la chica si podíamos ir cuanto antes que no llegábamos y la respuesta fue: tendríais que haber llegado 30 mins antes, no es mi problema, vais a tener que esperar a que termine . No solo nos lo dijo una si no dos veces . Nefasta la actitud enserio, que pena tener que dar tan mala puntuación a un sitio que sería de 4 estrellas si no fuera por los comentarios desafortunados y fuera de lugar. Entiendo que todos podemos tener un mal día tanto para decir un mal comentario como para recibirlo

A FUIR ! des voleurs qui sont jamais venu nous chercher à laeroport, il nous on laissait dans le silence, on a du payer 50 euros de taxi pour pouvoir aller à notre hotel puis 50 euros pour retourner à lagence le lendemain. Tout ça pour nous dire que nous étions pas au point de rdv. Alors quon a attendu 2h à laeroport, on leur a envoyé des sms et des appels. Aucune reponse !! Ils ont encaissé un acompte de 130 euros et nous navons jamais eu de voiture. Nous avons du en louer une ailleurs ! 100 euros de taxi + 130 euros perdu + prix de la nouvelle location en derniere minute. Des incapables !

Nach unserer Ankunft in Funchal wurden wir mit einem Transfer abgeholt und zur Autovermietung gefahren. Unser Fehler war, dass wir das Auto um 12:00 gemietet hatten, aber erst abends ankamen. Also war der gebuchte Wagen weg. Was verständlich ist. Man bot uns einen anderen, größeren Wagen an und teilte uns gleich mit, dass wir entweder die all inclusive Versicherung gegen Aufpreis nehmen können oder im Fall eines Schadens alles selber zahlen müssen. Auch die anderen drei Pärchen, die dort ihre Autos abgeholt haben waren irritiert über diese Zusatzversicherung, wussten aber auch keinen Rat und haben den teuren Preis bezahlt. Über Check 24 hatten wir eigentlich eine Versicherung mit 1000,00 Euro Selbstbeteiligung gebucht. Auf unseren Hinweis hin sagte man uns, wir könnten ja versuchen, uns das Geld über den Brooker dann zurückzuholen. Entweder wir nehmen deren Versicherung oder zahlen im Fall des Schadens alles selber. Als man uns dann noch den Preis des Autos nannte (890,00 ) für zwei Wochen (Citroën Cactus), welcher eine Nummer größer war als der ursprünglich gebuchte für 442,00 hat es uns gereicht. Wir haben bei Check24 angerufen und uns wurde sehr nett sofort geholfen. Wir haben dann bei einer anderen Autovermietung einen Seat Arona für 556,00 incl. aller Versicherungen mit unserer Selbstbeteiligung erhalten. Danke an Check24 und Finger weg, von dieser Autovermietung.

Diese Autovermietung ist sehr schlecht und nur gewinnorientiert. Es fing damit an, dass wir 30 min am Flughafen auf unseren Fahrer warten mussten. Auf Anrufe in der Zwischenzeit hat das Autohaus/der Ansprechpartner nicht reagiert. Als eine Mitarbeiterin der Flughafeninformation so nett war und selber dort angerufen hat ging sofort jemand ran und konnte ihr aber keine Informationen geben. Auch interessant, dass unser Ansprechpartner nicht in der Lage war Informationen darüber preiszugeben. Dann erhielten wir unser Auto und es schien alles okay zu sein. Unsere erste Unterkunft war in Calheta. Am nächsten Tag, nach Nutzung des Autos, gab es Probleme mit den Bremsscheiben. Fahren war nur noch mit sehr lauten schleifende Geräuschen und eingeschränkter Bremsfähigkeit möglich. Wir haben dann den Bereitschaftsdienst des Autohauses angerufen. Der Kollege konnte nur sehr schlechtes Englisch und hat uns damit auch nicht richtig verstanden. Ich habe versucht ihm das Problem zu erklären, aber er legte einfach irgendwann auf und ging auch nicht mehr ans Telefon. Er hat immer wieder aufgelegt. Danach haben wir im Büro angerufen. Die Dame vor Ort hat sich das Problem angehört und meinte dann, dass sie einen Kollegen fragen müsse wie der weitere Ablauf ist und sie sich sofort wieder bei uns meldet. Nach 15 min haben wir nochmal angerufen. Sie hätte uns von sich aus wahrscheinlich gar nicht zurück gerufen. Bei dem Gespräch mit ihr sagte sie uns, dass kein Kollege zu uns kommen wird und wir doch mit dem kaputten, nicht funktionsfähigen Auto zu ihnen ins Büro fahren sollen (45min mit dem Auto entfernt). Ich habe ihnen gesagt, dass ich das nicht möchte, da die Funktion der Bremsen eingeschränkt ist und das mir das zu gefährlich ist. Das hat die Dame nicht interessiert. Dann sind wir gezwungenermaßen in das Büro gefahren und durften doch tatsächlich noch die Tankfüllung bezahlen. Dafür das wir extra diese Strecke mit einem von dem Autohaus defekten Auto zurück legen mussten. Es wäre entgegenkommend gewesen, wenn das Autohaus von sich aus die Tankfüllung bezahlt hätte. Alles was passierte basiert nur auf der Unzulänglichkeit des Autohauses. Sie haben uns dann das Auto getauscht. Dieses war nicht defekt und wir konnten dann den Rest unseres Urlaubs genießen. Wir werden aufjedenfall nie wieder bei diesem Autohaus ein Auto mieten. So wenig Interesse an der Kundenzufriedenheit findet man selten. Solch einen Stress möchte man wirklich nicht in seinem Urlaub haben. Also kann ich wirklich niemandem empfehlen bei denen ein Auto zu mieten, das bereut man dann ziemlich schnell.

We had a good experience with Funchal Drive rental car. We were able to last minute book a car once we landed, and prices were better than other car rental places in the airport terminal. Car was clean and performed well on the crazy hills of Madeira. Only note is we wish we knew to text their number when we were ready for pick up at the airport. This wasn t a big deal for us. The number is reachable via WhatsApp as well, which was great. Would rent from here again.

Amândio heeft ons geweldig geholpen. Ze waren snel op de luchthaven om ons naar het kantoor te brengen. Daar aangekomen kregen we de huurauto aangereikt en veel tips van restaurants en must see plekken op het eiland. Super bedankt! Het genieten kan beginnen :)

Cest gens sont des arnaqueurs! Et la mécanique est bien rodée ! Deux solutions soffrent à vous : -Soit vous payez une assurance hors de prix (quon vous force à prendre si vous avez une carte de débit) -Soit vous nen prenez pas ... Et là attention au retour de la voiture. Le moindre petit détail sera retenu contre vous pour vous la facturer ... Le montant de lassurance que vous aviez été très fortement incité à prendre au départ ! Bravo. Madère est aussi magnifique que votre procédé est moche. P.S. ci après en photo la portiere de la voiture que jai rendu nickel (et qui au passage mavait été donnée avec des plaquettes de freins défaillantes) Je vous laisse essayer de trouver un défaut sur la portiere qui ma été facturée 220 euros. Et pour avoir publié un commentaire défavorable ces voleurs ont débité 5 mois plus tard 180 euros sur ma Visa!!! Ci joint la photo de la voiture en question

Wir haben hier auf Madeira gelernt, dass man bester ein wenig mehr für ein Mietauto zahlen und die Rezessionen der Anbieter ernst nehmen sollte! Über die Auto Union können wir nur positives berichten! Sehr freundlicher Kontakt! Die Abwicklung erfolgte ohne Verzögerungen, auch der Shuttle vom Flughafen erfolgte problemlos und schnell. Wir fühlen uns gut aufgehoben und hoffen, dass das bis zur Rückgabe so bleiben wird

Funchal Drive ist sehr zu empfehlen. Amandio und sein Team waren sehr hilfsbereit, sodass wir problemlos unseren Mietwagen erhalten haben und auch wieder abgeben konnten. Auch der Abhol- und Rückbringservice war im Preis inkludiert. Somit Preis-Leistung rundum passend, fair und wir sehr zufrieden.

Wij hadden gekozen voor zonder verzekering en na het lezen van sommige reacties werd ik toch een beetje bang bij het afleveren... Maar uiteindelijk was er helemaal niks aan de hand en de service/contact via whatsapp was top! Je moet alleen wel met een paar dingen rekening houden, zoals dat je een creditcard op de naam van de bestuurder moet hebben anders moet je de verzekering van 26 euro per dag betalen. Het is voor de rest goed mogelijk om de auto in de nacht op te halen. Alleen let op daar betaal je wel wat extra voor (ook de bijbehorende parkeerkosten). Al met al was het top!

Vorsicht, alles bei der Übernahme genauestens dokumentieren! Uns wurde ein Kratzer am Unterboden eines ca 10 Jahre alten FZG 58000km angelastet. Meiner Meinung nach sehr zweifelhafte Methode um Geld zu verdienen Zusätzlich hatte das FZG einen Defekt an der Bremse. Klötze waren runter Metall auf Metall . Bereits am zweiten Tag da wurden vorher die Verschlei anzeiger manipuliert, um die Bremse noch einmal weiter zu nutzen. Die Handbremse wirkte erst nach dem 8ten Klick. HU in Dt - damit unvorstellbar Von 4 gleichzeitig zurück gegebenen FZGen hatten 3 Mieter Probleme. Zufall oder Methode?

Agence à fuir pour les Français si vous avez une de carte crédit sur laquelle est noté le mot «débit ». Le prix a été multiplié par plus de deux à cause de l assurance. Si vous étiez vraiment honnête vous indiqueriez dans vos conditions générales qu une carte de débit n est pas autorisée pour le paiement de la caution ça serait beaucoup plus clair pour vos clients et éviterai les très mauvaises surprises.. mais bon vous préférez jouer sur les mots pour vous faire du fric vous savez pertinemment qu en France on appelle ça une carte de crédit (que ce soit noté débit ou crédit dessus). Français fuyez car cette agence n est pas honnête et joue sur les mots

Entreprise à fuir, tu prends une assurance tout compris. Tu arrives en agence pour récupérer ta voiture. Ils te disent que tous n est pas garantie. Tu payes donc le même prix assurance et location. Tu arrives au double du prix initial. Dans le contrat assurance, que tu dois ajouter (sinon caution élevé), tu as l assurance des pneus qui n est pas comprise. Nous ramenons la voiture, on attend, on ne sait pas pk. Le monsieur a enfin lavait sa voiture .il nous fait attendre il fait enfin le tour de notre voiture pour nous dire ok, ça lui a pris 2 minutes Vraiment décevant

Tutto è andato liscio. Ci hanno dato una macchina ottima per le strade di Madeira, piccola e efficiente (Mitsubishi space star). Ci siamo Interfacciati con Joanna, molto disponibile anche con il servizio pick-up all aereoporto sia all andata che al ritorno. Consiglio di prenotare direttamente dal loro sito e non tramite siti terzi, soprattutto per evitare spese inutili di assicurazioni, noi abbiamo fatto l assicurazione gold tramite il sito della compagnia ed è coperta praticamente quasi ogni cosa.

Ze spreken goed engels en leggen alles goed uit. Alleen jammer dat er wat problemen waren met de hoofdbestuurder en de creditcard die niet op de naam van de hoofdbestuurder stond. Daarom moesten we een andere verzekering afnemen, maar dat is uiteindelijk allemaal goed opgelost.

Faites très attention aux conditions générales de vente. Non seulement vous devez avoir une carte de crédit pour pouvoir payer la caution mais elle doit être au nom de la personne qui conduit. Sinon vous devez payer une assurance tout risque à 25 par jour. Ajoutez 50 si vous êtes conducteur de moins de 25 ans, et le paiement du parking de l aéroport si vous arrivez le soir (17 de frais en plus).

Como podéis ver en la factura estoy pagando un servicio de entrega fuera de horas por llegar de noche, pues que hacen ellos? Te dejan el coche en el parking del aeropuerto todo el día y para sacarlo del parking lo pagas tú, por lo tanto el precio que te dan no es el acordado, y para que se paga una entrega fuera de horario si no te hacen la entrega ellos? Y aun tienes que pagar el parking del aeropuerto, vamos que tienes que pagar un servicio de entrega fuera de su horario porque si sin motivo alguno más el parking y después son tan sinvergüenzas que ni te contestan, unos impresentables, estafadores!!

En ce qui concerne la voiture, aucun souci. Cependant : attention aux CGV, nous avons du payer une assurance de 230 la semaine. Pas le choix, tout doit être au même nom, avoir une crédit card ! Bref si il veulent vous faire payer l assurance, vous la payerait ! Une arnaque bien rôdé !!! Mais après avoir payé 488 une voiture pour une semaine tout va bien !! Alors attention à bien lire toute les lignes du contrat ! Sinon fuyez ce loueur !

Very bad! We arrived at 1:00 am and driver should meet us at 1:30 am. He is not came. After 90 min waiting and useless calling we took another car rental company. And of course first payment in 180 not was returned. In the same day at 12:00 pm they call to me and ask about if i still want a car. And say just sorry that driver is not came. NOT RECOMMENDED

Attiré par un prix dappel très attractif, jaurais du lire plus en détails les avis sur trustpilot. Je reserve mon véhicule, pas de souci... Mais la veille de mon arrivée, il me contacte pour valider le solde de la réservation, et ensuite pour le règlement de la caution, et cest la que je déchante, ils ne prennent que des cartes de credit, et non, pour nous francais qui avons des cartes de débit... Je me retrouve, à 5 min avant le décollage de lavion, soit annuler ma réservation et donc perdre toute ma réservation, OU prendre leur assurance à 25 /jour... Au final, jaurais mieux fait de rester avec un loueur plus traditionnel, qui a un tarif plus compétitif et surtout, leur bureau dans laeroport. Petit bonus, la petite prise de tete pendant le séjour pour changer le véhicule car je navais pas fait attention que les pneus étaient complètement lisses... et le vendeur qui me disait que non quils sont encore en très mon état, malgré un témoin dusure bien entammé.

Richiedono 1700 euro di deposito, o in alternativa unassicurazione aggiuntiva (che a queste condizioni chiaramente stipulano tutti). Questo deposito non ha niente a che vedere con lassicurazione stradale stipulata. Ad ogni modo lauto era perfetta.

We would not recommend this company. They don t respond on our email and we didn t get the car on the right day. We needed to pay for the taxi to the hotel and lost 1/5 day using the car, without a refund. A plus for the staff we met, they were nice! There are plenty of other car rentals, pick another one!

The only thing to point out is that we were not given the vehicle we had chosen when booking, however we had no problems with the vehicle we were given, it was from the same range. It is worth highlighting the friendliness of the employee.

¡NO LO RECOMIENDO! Horrible experiencia, nos cobraron 20 euros por cambiar de oficinas cuando en Rental car especificaba que el coche podíamos reservarlo desde el aeropuerto y dejarlo en el aeropuerto(TENIENDO ELLOS LA OFICINA A 8 MIN DEL AEROPUERTO), después nos querían cobrar 35 euros por dejar el coche dos horas más tarde, al final tuvimos que ir 4 horas antes de nuestro vuelo para que no nos cobrasen esa barbaridad de dinero. No suficiente con eso nos acusaron de unos desperfectos, menos mal que teniamos un video ya que cuidamos el coche como si fuera nuestro, además de todo eso no funcionaba bien el coche , el cable para poner el apple car tampoco, el motor no tiraba y cuando pedimos ayuda para el tema de dejar el coche llamamos unas 6 veces y no nos respodían. Por último cuando comunicamos nuestro disgusto solo nos ponían más problemas en vez de ofrecer una solución. Además la luna tenía el cristal cosa que es ilegal circular así además de peligroso. Se me olvidaba que nos dieron la llave de repuesto sin mando. NEFASTO NO REPETIRÉ NI LO RECOMENDARE.

Personne est venu nous chercher a laéroport, personne nous a répondu sur wattsapp et au téléphone, ensuite on a du marcher 30min a pied avec nos valise pour arriver dans leur local (et le trajet était que de la pente), accueil très désagréable. Supplément on nous apprend qu on est forcé de prendre une assurance à 300 pour 10 jours qui nétait pas mentionné visiblement sur le site internet. Durant le séjour , on a pris une amende de stationnement, j ai donc envoyé un message pour savoir comment il fallait s y prendre, et bizarrement, comme par hasard, là ça répond vite. La vitesse de réponse au téléphone est donc aléatoire selon si votre demain les importe beaucoup. Conclusion : Prenez vos jambes à vos cou !

Super Service und sent zuverlässig! Amandio war sehr freundlich und hat uns früher vom Flughafen abgeholt und uns zum gleichen Preis ein anderes gutes Auto gegeben, da wir zu früh waren. Das Auto war im sehr guten Zustand, die Abwicklung war unkompliziert und hatte auch genug PS für Madeira. Amandio hat uns noch ein paar gute Reisetipps und Kontakte zu Taxifahrenden und Touren gegeben. Können wir definitiv weiterempfehlen!

Énorme arnaque ! Cest écrit en petit quil faut avoir une carte où il y a écrit crédit dessus et non débit. Du coup ils font payer 250 en plus. Sachant quen France la grande majorité du temps on a des carte de débit. Alors pour vous répondre oui il y en a mais très peu ! et ça cest une personne du milieu bancaire qui vous le confirme ! Les conditions qui existe mais evidemment en tout petit ! Il suffit de regarder tous les commentaires ! Vous êtes un des seuls rent car a faire cela ! Et évidemment il nhésite pas à te dire que ce nest pas très gentil de mettre un commentaire comme cela au moment de rendre la voiture aha surtout lhomme assez jeune qui nest pas du tout courtois sympathique et professionnel. Et ne vous fiez pas a commentaires avec beaucoup détoiles ce sont des Faux.

FunchalDrive provided a great value rental car for our week in Madeira. The service was great, and we especially appreciated Leiane, who was very efficient and working super hard doing everything from check in to check out and driving the shuttle!

Bad: We paid 70 euros extra for early pickup and delivery, but upon delivery, no one was there, no one answered the phone. We just left the car there, sent emails and phoned some more, but even three days later we didnt hear anything and did not get this money back. Also we had to book a taxi because they didnt bring us to the airport. Also bad: Renter forgot credit card. Even though we had some other credit card with us, the company didnt want to use this one and forced us to take full insurance which was very expensive and we didnt need it. Good: Renter forgot drivers license, and they added another person as second driver for free.

Avoid this company at all costs, once you leave the airport they will charge you for whatever they want and you have to deal with it or loose all the money you already spend and walk to the airport. Avoid! This is not a serious company.

No one picked up the phone when we arrived, so took 25 mins for the collection car to turn up. Mam at the check in desk was difficult and was not interested in checking car for damage prior to leaving. Car we had reserved was not ready and we had to wait for it to be driven from Funchal to the airport. Not the best experience. Car drop off was far easier

Prima verhuur bedrijf, goede auto ontvangen in om in de bergen te rijden. Het afhalen in Funchal ging heel soepel en bij het afleveren bij het vliegveld keurig geholpen door Amandio. Door verhuurder naar het vliegveld gebracht. Goede service en vriendelijk personeel.

We had booked a car under my name a few months ago, to pick up on the 15th at 9pm and to return on july 7th. We booked it on discover cars website and had paid a first amount of 98.72 to book it. We had also suscribed to car insurance already. The amount left to pay was 226 . On the 25th our flight had almost two hours delay, so we called your agency Funchal Drive to explain and someone was texting us on whatsapp that the agency would be closed and we had to come back the next morning to oick up the car. When we arrived on the 26th in the morning, the person from the agency wanted to charge us more money, 60 because the booking was under my name and i don t have a driver license, my sister with me does. That was ok. But then he tried to charge us more than 300 for insurance, when in fact we already had insurance in our booking. It even specified in our booking document from discover cars that if the agency wanted to sell us insurance we could totally refuse it, because we have it. So we refused but the person at the agency started being impolite, agressive and condescending, telling us there was no other way. We wanted to do the deposit instead, but he wouldn t let us, saying that it was because the booking was under my name and i don t have a drive license. This is insane, and not even believable. We also had seen on google some bad comments about the agency saying that they try to scam people with 300 unnecessary insurance. So we knew it was a total scam. We refused to pay and requested our booking to get cancelled. He didn t want to, and said to email to some adress. He also had written on a piece of paper the amounts extra to pay, including the « necessary insurance ». When i wanted to take a picture of this paper he took it and wouldn t let me. Which shows how fake and ridiculous the whole situation was. At this point two girls entered the agency asking for a refund from days ago as they had the exact same experience, and guess what, both had their driving license, so the excuse for them was different, they had sent the email and had not received any refund. Your agency is a scam, you try to steal money from tourists. We request our immediate refund of 98.72 .

Avoid like the plague. I deeply regret choosing Autounion for my car rental. I wish I had read the other reviews beforehand. Our experience was a disaster from start to finish. When we arrived in Funchal, we couldnt find anyone from Autounion, and when we finally reached them, we were told to wait because the representative was on lunch. After a 45-minute wait, we encountered an extremely rude and unhelpful staff member. Despite our booking specifying downtown Funchal drop-off with no additional charge, we were told there would be a 30 fee for this. They also insisted on a credit card for the security deposit, despite their terms not explicitly excluding debit cards. They demanded an extra 190 for insurance, even though we had previously bought this coverage. We refused this unnecessary charge and had to find alternative transportation. I highly recommend RentX as an alternative. They were similarly priced and provided amazing service, unlike Autounion. Avoid Autounion at all costs and go with RentX instead for a hassle-free experience.

Do not go here. The staff are incredibly rude and straight up threatening. Telling us one tiny scratch on the car means you lose almost half your deposit (600 euros in our case) and just generally making us feel on edge about renting a car. Also didn t get the car we expected

We rented a car with Funchal Drive (Auto Union Car Rental) in Madeira. My first red flag was when they called the day before our rental and informed me there would be a 20 Euro fee for a shuttle bus from the airport. What rental car company charges money for a shuttle bus? They told me to call them when we arrived, which I did. We waited outside the airport for almost an hour. Multiple texts were going back and forth as they told me that they had been to the airport 2x to pick us up. Finally on the 3rd time when we were the only ones left, we got picked up by a van that had, Auto Union Car Rental on the side. No where on ANY documentation did it say Auto Union Car Rental on it. Me and the driver were communicating but at no time did he text that he arrived. Of course when we finally got picked up it was all our fault. Then we had a problem with the window and we called. They seemed to care less. My only option was to drove the car 1 hour round trip to exchange the car. Then I looked up the reviews for Funchal Drive, they have 40 reviews, 30 are TERRIBLE OR POOR. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

NEVER RENT A CAR FROM FUNCHAL DRIVE IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF! When we arrived in Madeira, a guy smelling like alcohol picked us up from the airport after we had to call Funchal drive several times for this to happen. There was no information about the pickup process beforehand, whatsoever. However, this is not the worst part of our car rental experience. When we arrived, we were told to pay the full amount for the car rental, although we could prove with bank statements that we had already paid beforehand. The employee at Funchal drive refused to hand out the car to us without paying the full amount a second time on the spot and we were told that as soon as he confirms with his boss the next day (it was late at night), we would get the double payment back. Unfortunately, we never received the refund even after texting and calling Funchal drive several times. After a week of trying to reach the company, we were sent a screenshot of an alleged transfer back, however, this money never arrived in our bank account. Even after pointing this out to Funchal drive, we were treated rudely and they refused to even check with their bank whether something went wrong with the transfer. The end of the story is that we paid twice the amount we were supposed to for the car and had to get a lawyer involved who is currently working on the case. So my recommendation is: avoid Funchal drive if you dont want to be ripped off!

First, the agent came 1 hour late to provide them with the car. Our VIP car agent called the agent and told him that the customer was waiting at the office. The agent did not understand that it was a midnight pickup and 4 women were waiting for 1 hour. The agent was in an extreme rush and told the customer to pay for the rental first and that he would show her the car. The customer charged her extra for the rental and also forced her to buy full insurance as well even though they already have one. The worst part agent took the customer to the garage and showed them a car. The customer did not like the car as she was expecting the same car she booked. Agent did not explain anything and told them to go away which is totally unprofessional. He just closed the office and told the customer to go. There were four women standing in the middle of the night without the car and treated in such a bad way.The next day the man attacked us.

Autounion carrental is really a car rental we can recommend! We had problems with our credit card and they did everything possible to help us to get a car. They were so friendly and nice and we would definitely would book there again. The whole booking process took us nearly 2 hours and they waited the whole time without being stressed or something. Car prices are very effortable and also the additional insurances which you can choose if you like are cheap and covers a lot. Thumbs up!

Great service. The transport between the airport and the rental station worked well! The car (Fiat 500) was very easy to handle and didn t have any problems. It was easy to drive through the hills and the twisty roads. Overall a great experience and we will book again if me come back to madeira.

One star because they ask you money for insurance that was already paid! One star because they ask you 1500 euro deposit and they release it after a month The car it was not bad, the trip it was nice in Madeira!

Navette aéroport efficace. Pas de problème particulier pour la Prise en compte et restitution de la voiture. Grace a la navette gratuite, Jai pris le véhicule à lagence proche de laéroport. La restitution cest faite à funchal centre sans aucun supplément. Je conseille ce loueur pour son efficacité,ses prix et ses véhicules en parfait état. 118 les 6 jours de location + 66 dassurance complète discoverscars ,soit un total de 184 . Je nai pas trouvé mieux en rapport qualité prix

Everything was ok. Staff is nice, when we gave back the car they took us to the airport immediately. We recomend to buy insuracne and have a stressless time on curvy roads of Madeira.

Well, where do I start. First, they are not at the airport. You have plenty of car rental counters at the airport but they are not there. And it creates communication and transport problems to start you Madeire experience with. They didnt pick me up at the airport TWICE! Since they are not at the airport, you need someone to pick you up. If your flight is late (which was the case of my first flight but not the second one) you will spend 50 euros to get to your hotel and try to get your car the next day (if they feel like it). The guy I talked to has no customer service skills: I dont understand why would a car rental company hire this guy who does not enjoy helping people. Not a big problem solver but able to repeat indefinitely that everything is your fault. The problems related to the fact that they are not on-site (but advertising that they are) is not... their problem. Finally, I lost my money for the week rental and decided to rent another car elsewhere. I read some other reviews about problems with returning the cars when they have your credit card number. They cannot solve small problems and manage the basics of renting a car, I didnt want to deal with them for the 6 months I will be on the island.

I would like to thank Funchal Drive Rent in Care for the rental of a Fiat Mini I had reserved a vehicle in another agency in advance and when I arrived at the airport the agency didnt want to give me the vehicle I had reserved because I wasnt 21 years old (I was 20) but I had been able to reserve it on Booking... So I had to rent a car at the last minute, and Id like to thank Funchal Drive Rent à Care for their responsiveness. The welcome and explanations are very good, I recommend 100%

Really quick service. They called me while I was picking up bags and 15 min later I was in the new car (only 6k km). Return process also very quick. Better to rent smaller car on Madeira if you ride in the mountains.
