Fantastic employee/collaborator, super efficient, friendly, polite and helpful. She handled my problem with an insurance company in an exemplary manner. I hope that if I have to use Hertz again, the same person will handle my requests. In addition to being friendly, she is a well-presented, well-groomed and very nice person. It is a pleasure to be attended to first thing in the morning, on a difficult day, when we do not want to be bothered any more.
The employee who helped me was extremely friendly. Quick service and in less than 15 minutes everything was sorted and the car was in my hands.
Beware of unscrupulous practices. I was forced to buy prepaid fuel without being asked first if I wanted it. When I was asked for my card to pay for the vehicle, it was only AFTER I paid and got the receipt that it became clear I was given prepaid fuel. For such a small island and only 3 days with the vehicle, it's ridiculous to expect an entire tank of fuel to be used. I felt taken advantage of. I suppose it's my fault for not clarifying an amount first, but my card was charged without being told the specific amount being paid. When returning the vehicle, there was still a quarter tank of fuel left over. You're welcome I guess Hertz. I was also told that they did not have the vehicle I requested. Instead, I had the option for a low HP vehicle OR paying extra for an upgraded automatic transmission vehicle. The lady at the desk told me that the only car she had was a manual transmission car that only had 80 HP and would not be able to handle the hills. Why would you rent out a vehicle that isn't supposedly good enough for the hills in the area everyone is going to be driving on? I did ultimately choose to upgrade to the automatic because of being told this. However, when picking up my car from the lot, there were many cars in the Hertz lot, not only one or two which waswhat was implied. Again, I felt taken advantage of. My expected €206 rental turned into a €407 rental with these sudden added fees (€30 location service charge?) and tax. Of that, the automatically charged prepaid fuel plus the upgrade together cost me nearly an extra hundred euros that I feel I should not have been charged. Again, I suppose it's up to me as the consumer to double check everything before leaving the desk, but I truly didn't realize I had all these extra charges until being handed the receipt and walking away to make room for the next customer. I'm ultimately mad at myself for allowing myself to be duped into paying 25% more for my rental.
