The valley s breathtaking scenery, with its terraced vineyards and the stunning Douro River, left us in awe. Pedro s knowledge and passion for the region added so much depth to the experience. We enjoyed visits to charming wineries, divine wine tastings, and a delicious traditional lunch at a family-owned estate with unforgettable views. The relaxing river cruise was the perfect way to end the day. Pedro ensured everything ran smoothly and went above and beyond to make the trip special. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Portugal!

This was a really worthwhile day trip to see the beautiful Douro valley and learn how Port wine is made. It was a small group so there was no hanging around and Bernardo was an excellent guide. The boat trip was very memorable.

3 of us on the tour with ages 40 to 70. It was an excellent tour even for one of us who doesnt drink alcohol!! Pedro was an excellent driver and kept us entertained throughout the day. Wine and port tasting was very tasty and plentiful. Trip on the river Douro was beautiful as was the vinerys on the drive. We have never seen so many winerys on the hills!! Lunch was traditional and plentiful. Great group of people in our small group. Would go again.

My group and I had such an amazing time experiencing the Douro Valley and a few of the amazing wineries in it. Our tour was fantastic! Our guide Pedro was amazing, so knowledgeable about all of the wine and the history of Portugal. The tour was relaxing and very well paced along with the delicious wine tastings. The fact that it was a small group made our experience even better. Perfect amount of wine at each spot with generous pours and delicious food. Our lunch spot was incredible as well with delicious local cuisine that had that homey feel that we were all craving. Moi et mon grand-père avons visité la vallée de Douro grâce à notre super guide Brahim. On nous a récupéré a notre hôtel, le voyage était agréable et instructif sur la ville et la culture portugaise. Les excursions viticoles étaient incroyables à contempler. Les dégustations valaient le déplacement. Puis le déjeuner et la balade en bateau sur le fleuve ont été apaisant sous un beau soleil. Une belle aventure que mon grand-père a grandement apprécié. Je ne regrette pas le choix de cette sortie incontournable.

The Douro valley is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The 3 wineries tour with Andriea was awesome. The 1st and 3 wineries were great. The 2nd was only a wine tasting and the staff lacked personality. Do the two wineries and river boat combo instead. Andriea our tour guide was a hoot and very knowledgeable about the Douro called and port wine in general. A must do when visiting Porto.

A must do while in Porto. This trip was focused on showing us the beauty of the country and introduced us to the culture with amazing stops at local restaurants and coffee shops. Pedro with a small group was a treat, never forget this time or the people. It was perfect.

Amazing experience! Beautiful daytrip in a small and fun group. Our guide, Mafalda, has lots of knowledge about the history, the wine and the region. Shes absolutely lovely and made this trip such a breeze! Weve tried some beautiful wines and portwines and had authentic Portugese dishes as lunch. Would definately recommend!

I am not normally a tour type of traveler, but I knew to get the most out of my time and visit to the Duoro Valley, a tour would be my best option. Rarely am I happier with a decision. From great communication pre-tour and an easy pickup, and Pedro, whose knowledge of the region and wine, as well as his sense of humor, to amazing ports, wines at spectacular small estates, this was the way to go. Highlight of my trip, for sure. Thank you!

Had a great day with Pedro and rest of group in Douro valley. Was picked up promptly from Hotel in morning, had lovely breakfast in small town en route to first distillery where we did a port tasting with an experienced distiller. We then had a relaxing boat tour up the Douro valley before a traditional Portuguese lunch. All dietary requirements all catered to. Highlight of the day was the last stop on the tour to sample some olive oil and wine with a breath taking view. Communication from Oportoroadtrips was great. We had a wonderful tour with Henrique who shared knowledge of the region and history of wine making. We started our day with a coffee stop to get ourselves going. Then off to a small production Quinta followed by lunch. We opted for the three Quinta tour so our next visit with close to the Douro River. Our last stop was up in the hills overlooking the river. Each place the tour stopped was wonderful and the experiences were each different. I would highly recommend a tour with them.

This is a great trip from Porto for any wine/port lover or for someone who wants to see more of the countryside. I went as a solo traveller and it was a great way to meet new people. My guide Pedro was simply amazing very helpful, informative and had the whole van in laughing and in good spirits the whole way. I am coeliac (gluten free) and they were very accomodating with lunch! This is an absolute must if visiting Porto

My partner and I booked a full day trip with two wineries, boat trip and lunch with Oporto Road Trips. We were picked up Pedro and comfortably driven to the valley. Pedro was an excellent guide, jovial and knowledgeable and had fun conversations with everyone in the small group throughout the day. The trip was exactly as described, we had great fun learning about the wines at our first Quinta and tasting various types of wine and Port. Then it was a short journey to Pinhão for the hour long boat trip. This was a lovely break in the day to relax and unwind. This part of the tour was not private, but was lovely nonetheless. The lunch in a local restaurant was a traditional Portuguese mix of meats, vegs and carbs. Along with a lot more wine! It was very filling and very tasty. The second Quinta had a line in an olive oil, so we got to learn about that process too and then sample a lot more wine and oils. Again, the journey back was easy and comfortable, even in the dry heat of the afternoon. Pedro was kind enough to drop us off at our street. The entire day was great, Pedro was the perfect guide and we couldn t have asked for more.

I went on the Douro Valley excursion with Diana on a beautiful day in May. The program was perfectly put together, two wine tastings at different smaller vineyards with tours, a delicious lunch and a boat ride. Diana has a fantastic personality, she is calm, but shares so much knowledge and answers all questions in detail. She was also a great driver and has the most pleasant voice. I witnessed other guides more or less screaming at their groups, so I was very grateful for Dianas intelligent and calm presentations. The Santa Eufemia Port tasting took place in a beautiful setting! i would definitely chose Oporto Road Trips again.

Had a great day with Pedro, a very personable and knowledgeable guide who also plays guitar exceptionally well! This is more than a view of the vineyards from a boat on the Douro River. On the way we stopped at the beautiful village of Amarante and had the best pastry I ve ever had. Anywhere. Had an excellent tour of Quinta do Come from Michael, the winemaker s assistant, followed by lunch close by (and, yes, more wine). During the drive you will see the most spectacular scenery. The boat ride is short, but offers plenty of photo ops of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then drove up a very fun, high, twisty road to Quinta Santa Eufémia, a producer of Douro wines and port. Our guide, Joao, showed great pride in the history (pre-Roman) of this estate and its port. Very high with great views and a new tasting room that shows them off. Pedro will guarantee you a day well spent.

We had a phenomenal tour with Pedro! He s hilarious, knowledgeable, and an amazing guitar player! The tour was very well organized, informative and absolutely stunning! We had some people in our group that get car sick but had no issues whatsoever because Pedro is a smoooooooth operator! 6/5 stars

Notez que la croisière sur le fleuve a un guide audio (code QR en entrant sur le bateau), nous l avons manqué et l expérience aurait sûrement été bonifiée parce qu au final, la croisière est la partie la moins intéressante. Yesterday we took a winery tour. We were picked up by Ivo right on time. Because the tour was with a smaller group, we had a connection right away. Ivo is a very enthusiastic and a kind travel tour guide that made us laugh the whole way. He has amazing knowledge of the region and all the different types of (port) wine. Everything was going absolutely fantastic until the van broke down in the middle of the road. Ivo being the best tour guide ever swept us all off our feet and carried us all on his shoulders up the mountain. We all made it up there perfectly safe because of him! He felt so bad that this happened that he was determined to make it up to us. He started juggling 6(!!!) bottles of wine at the same time and made sure all the glasses were filled with wine at once! You can imagine our surprise that even after all of this, his hair was still in perfect condition, shiny and perfectly curled. Because the van was still broken, he had to carry us all the way back to the boat which he did without any complaints. When the van was finally fixed again, Ivo started the party back to our hotel. We sang 2000 hits the whole way back! Of course Ivo was the best singer of all of us and made Christina Aguilera look mediocre. All in all, we had the best day ever! We loved every second of it and we already miss Ivo so much. Ps. If Ivo s boss is reading this, please give him a raise, this man went all the way for us to make sure our day was perfect (just like his hair and humor).

Oporto Road Trips provided us with a great tour of the Douro Valley. We were a group of 10 people. They split us into two vans with some other travelers. The vans were modern and clean. Our tour guides, Marina and Cheila, were excellent drivers and provided lots of interesting information. Our first stop was a port winery and it was great, both the tour and the tasting. Our 1-hour boat ride was relaxing and the views are lovely. The lunch was interesting local cuisine, mostly good. The second winery was a bit of a let-down as the staff member there was not very knowledgeable about the wines. The drive between the various locations was absolutely stunning. The Douro Valley is very beautiful.

The tour was fantastic, exciting, laid back, and had beauty we had never seen. Pedro was the best tour guide, and became like family by the end of the day. 10/10, can t recommend enough!

The best tour experience Ive ever enjoyed! My boyfriend s friends gifted this tour for his birthday, and he kindly took me along. From the very beginning, our tour guide was absolutely fantastic. He shared fascinating insights about the Duoro Valley, blending humor and historical facts seamlessly. The views were simply spectacular. We visited two charming wineries and enjoyed a traditional lunch that included the delicious drunken cake made with port wine. Afterward, we embarked on a boat ride, sipping green wine provided by our guide, who continued to share intriguing stories about this type of wine. The scenic beauty we encountered was breathtaking, and the entire experience was incredibly enriching. This trip also made me realize just how deeply I love my boyfriend and how much I enjoy visiting and exploring new places with him. This tour is truly a must-do!

Today was our Tour to Douro Valley, two wineries and a boat trip, with a fabulous lunch. Everything was fantastic, our Google maps put us in the wrong pick up area, after a few frantic emails, Pedro our wonderful guide and driver came walking very fast down the street to find us, off we went two lovely couples from USA to keep us company. Highly recommended, thanks for a fun personalised adventure, Pedro even played guitar for us. Perfect day.

My favorite tour in Portugal! We loved Pedro, our guide. Superb background, knowledge and friendliness for the full group to enjoy and pick up on. From what I understand every tour may be a bit diffeeent as they are constantly bringing guests to different, smaller vineyards that a large group or lone tourists may not find or have access to. Beautiful drives, great food, and lovely wines. Support from Oporto tours was also top-shelf. They worked hard to ensure we didn t miss this experience despite some last minute food poisoning that tried to compromise our Porto experience. Thank you again and keep up the stellar work!

I just finished a wonderful trip to the Douro Valley with Douro Valley Wine Tours. What a great experience. Ive been traveling in Portugal for an extended period of time, and this was one of the highlights. A great guide, Joao made a beautiful part of Portugal even better. Thanks, Joao. The wines may not be to everyones liking, but the Douro Valley is beautiful. I did the three winery tour. I had the pleasure of spending the day with a wonderful group of people. The tour was a full day with a hearty Portuguese lunch. Overall, it was a great day and good value for money.

Ivo was a great guide. Great personality, really outgoing, lots of good information, good sense of humor, problem solver. We had a great lunch and visit to Quinta do Tedo. Beautiful location, wonderful Porto, fantastic guide and pleasant tasting environment. Visit to Quinta do Cume was under bad weather and despite that was pleasant with lots of information. We also had a relaxing boat ride on the Duoro. All in all a great day.

Mafalda our guide was great. She was friendly, and provided outstanding background on the history of the region along our tour. Her bubbly personality made everyone in our group feel welcome and comfortable. The scenery, the wineries, the food, and the overall experience in the Douro region was well worth the cost.

Pedro, our tour guide, picked us up at our Porto accommodations, and we were introduced to the rest of our small group with whom we really enjoyed the rest of the day. Pedro offered the perfect combination of knowledge sharing, responsibility, and humor making our day interesting, safe, and lots of fun. We toured the river valley and two wineries which included tastings and in one, even a surprising opportunity to climb into a large barrel. Lunch with the group was delicious and more wine kept flowing making for lots of good conversation. We highly recommend this tour of the Douro River valley!!

Excellent entry level tour to learn about the Douro Valley and its wines. Tiago was a great guide and he offered a lot of local hints. Best part was left at the end: visit to the family-owned Quinta do Cume vineyard. All in all - a highly recommended experience!

The wineries themselves were stunning, with breathtaking views and delicious wines that we were able to taste and learn about. Great day trip for our group of four with the amazing Marina! Her personality made the scenery and experience enjoyable and memorable. While many may be able to drive a 9 person van with the confidence and ability of a race car driver ( not really) , to do it while engaging with your clientele and making them feel special and well cared for and educating them at the same time is a true multi taking accomplishment. We are well traveled and have been all over the world in many ways , but Marina stands at the top of great guides .

Fantastic day We did the two wineries with lunch & boat trip day excursion, which was excellent. The wineries were small, relaxed and very friendly with excellent tour guides and a very enjoyable informative wine tasting at each. The lunch provided was great - very homely, traditional food and great wine, and the boat trip on the Douro was a lovely contrast and gave us a different perspective on the breathtaking Douro valley. The day was made even better by our fantastic tour guide, Henrique, who was friendly, knowledgeable and funny and went out of his way to make sure we were all comfortable and happy all day. We very much enjoyed our day and definitely recommend a trip with Oporto Road Trips, especially having Hélio as the guide! The full day trip was perfect. The tour began with customized hotel pick up in Porto, followed by an opportunity to purchase snacks en route to Douro Valley. The journey to Douro Valley was beautiful and the drive was pleasant. Our guide helped to rearrange our tour schedule due to the extreme heat that day, moving our river cruise to be the first stop in Douro Valley so that we could beat the heat. Our first wine stop was a bit later in the day because of this, and our guide Hélio could tell we were already hungry, so he bought us multiple cheese boards before our lunch stop even though they were not included . He was very thoughtful and always opened our doors and had a full case of water for our hot day in Douro Valley. Hélio frequently was checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. He was often looking for feedback for improvement, which was much appreciated. Hélio was very personable and a pleasure to be around. His degree in tourism has prepared him well and he has been doing tours for 10 years. He is very knowledgeable about Porto, Douro Valley, and surrounding areas. He takes pride in his work and history. Will definitely do a tour again when I come back to Porto

A great tour through Duoro Valley. Pedro was so lovely and knowledgeable about some of Porto s history and wine. We were a group of nine and it was a perfect number for a tour group. The wineries and restaurant they took us to were also lovely.

Diana was our guide! She was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and funny. She was able to answer all of our questions; local preference, cultural preference, history, relative markets, wine making, etc. she was able to tell us everything. This experience was worth every penny. I d probably do it again. The wineries were awesome and the views are stunning. A/C vehicle and tinted windows did the trick. My favourite part was the traditional porteguese meal served family style for lunch. Jugs of wine, lamb, ribs, cabbage, rice, dessert, etc. it was so fun and delicious. Of course the boat ride after was awesome. 10/10 recommended. Pick up from downtown Porto and the. Drop off end of day. Slept like a baby. Thanks Diana!!!

Our guide Brahim was excellent! He is extremely knowledgeable about Portuguese history and trivia. He challenged us with questions and answered all of the questions that we posed of him. The Douro Valley is beautiful. We got to experience some of what goes on during the wine harvest at both quintas that we visited. The boat trip was wonderful! Scenery that can only be experienced on the river below the terraced vines. A day well spent in the Porto region.

What an amazing day!! Our tour operator (Oporto Road Trips) and guide Brahim were both outstanding. We could have not asked for a nicer and more knowledgeable guide. Brahim went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect. We took the Douro Valley Day Tour with Three Wineries and Lunch. We were picked up right outside our Airbnb (and dropped again at the end of day). The scenery in the Douro Valley was breathtaking and the 3 wineries which were all of small to medium size were wonderful. The winery tours were well done and the wine and port tastings were delicious. Brahim also paid special attention to call ahead to the restaurant to ensure that they could offer us a vegan lunch (which by the way was delicious and included unlimited wine keeping with the theme of the day). There were designated stops along the way for photo opportunities and lots of great information from Brahim about Portugal, Porto and the Douro Valley. Thank you Viator for coordinating this tour. If you have time during your Porto visit, visit the Douro Valley! Its beautiful and a short ride away. My husband and I picked the 2 wineries plus river cruise option. Our tour had a total of 8 people - 4 chose the 3 wineries options. Its timed so that the additional winery tour occurred at the same time as the river cruise. Our guide dropped 4 of us off at the river and took the others 4 to the winery. When we got off the boat, our guide was there and the 8 of us continued on. Both options included lunch in Pinhao which was awesome - there was PLENTY of food and everything was delicious. Our last stop was at a very high elevation and had amazing views of the valley and river. Our guide was Diana. While she drove, she also provided good commentary so the time during the 90 minute drive passed quickly. I recommend this tour

We were a family of 5 and had 3 other people in our van who were great to get to know. drove out of porto to duoro valley, stunning views. Boat tour was great, we were lucky to do it in the morning. Didn t go to typical lunch place since we booked on a Monday, but lunch was still delicious. the wineries were both amazing. It was so fun. Our tour guide Luis was the best part, he made the experience so fun, smooth, and interesting. highly recommend!

This tour was a wonderful day trip. It was great to see the countryside and have the intimate experience of the wine and port tours. Diana was very knowledgeable and personable and it was very nice to have a small group of people to travel with. The only suggestion we have is to send a photo of the meeting place in the morning, to clarify exactly where we should be, to eliminate confusion.

Great tour including a boat ride and visits to two wineries

We took the 2 winery tour and it was a highlight of our Portugal vacation. Diana, our guide, is very knowledgeable. On the hour ride to our first stop, she told us a lot about the process of winemaking and the places we were driving through. After the first tasting at an impressive, new winery, we stopped for lunch in a small town and had a traditional grilled fish. Then we were driven to a dock where we boarded one of the old boats and motored up and back down the river. It was 1 hour, enough time to enjoy the amazing scenery. Then on to the next winery, an operation run by generations of the same family, very different from the first. Here they still stomp the grapes by foot! The whole tour took about 10 hours. We were picked up and dropped off close to our hotel, happy and slightly tipsy.

Gorge was just one of the most amazing guide chauffer friend i came across. He took zillions of photographs for every one happily and made sure our platee and glasses were full throughout the day. He has written 7 books and also won the portugeese national car rally championship (though we did not get to experience that skill of his driving) Cheers

Pros 1. I had a superbly attentive and informative guide Diana (who was also our chauffeur). 2. I had a once-in-a-lifetime experience climbing into an old, empty wine barrel and standing in it with my hands outstretched (Im a hobbit, thats why). See photo of wine barrel; I was in one of them! 3. The wine tasting guide Teresa at Quinta do Beijo vineyard was delightfully humorous and insightful. 4. Our wine tour consisted of only 8 passengers, making it a cozy and tight group. The informal, sit-down wine tasting at the second vineyard was so organic: We sat at this bench table, chit chatted, and enjoyed wine amicably. 5. Dessert served after lunch was exquisite. 6. I was picked up promptly at 8:25! The information given to me the night prior was detailed and helpful. 7. It was extremely affordable (about 95) for a full-day trip. 8. Our 9-seator van was comfortable and clean and well-ventilated. Cons I cant think of any. I only wish more people would sign up for their highly professional tours!

La visite dOrigem, huile dolive, vins, miel et amandes était également une belle expérience et la vue sur la vallée du Douro superbe. La ballade en bateau sympa, mais avec le recul nous aurions plutôt préféré une visite supplémentaire. Des bouteilles deau étaient prévues et donc bienvenues entre les dégustations !!!

One of the most beautiful days in Porto! The organization of the day was great: we were picked up in the morning and during the ride we already learned about the history and details of the region. The whole day we were on our own and were very warmly welcomed everywhere! We looked at three wineries, which were all different and where we could learn a lot about wine. We had lunch in a simple but very very tasty restaurant! Hélio accompanied us all day and explained many interesting things about the history and about the wineries. He was aware of our needs and responded to everything! He is a very nice and caring person and gave his personal touch to the day. We felt really comfortable! Thanks for everything Hélio and team and we recommend it 100%!

The tour was fantastic, the guide (Alex) was extremely helpful, explaining with good detail all the process of the routes. The only thing is not worth it was the lunch for what they charge they could have done some the decent.

My husband and I had the most memorable day in the Douro Valley with our guide Andre. Andre was knowledgeable, funny, kind, and simply a delightfully interesting human being. We had fun talking with him and our group. The day was a big adventure! We learned so much about wine and the Douro Valley, and saw so much beauty. So much great wine, food, and experiences! It was probably the best day we had during our 2 weeks in Portugal.

Tiago was a fantastic guide, very informative, friendly and handled the drive like a chauffeur (which was very important with skills needed on the journey). The trip featured two small, independent vineries that offered very good tours and great products. We learnt a lot more than we had from other countries where we had done wine tours. The scenery was magnificent and the lunch was very filling and tastey.

We had a wonderful day exploring the duoro region with our tour guide Tuna. He made sure we had the best experience, from being at the front of the line on the boat and getting the best seats and to bringing us to a new winery and established winery, we couldnt have asked for a better day. The food was great, and Tuna was so easy to talk to and friendly. Thank you for a great day!

We met our tour guide Sheila at the cathedral in Porto near the Douro river at 08:30 am. Due to a construction site at the famous Ponte Dom Luis bridge they were not able catch us in Vila Nova de Gaia which was no problem for us. After around 90 minutes car ride with 6 other guests in a 9 seats mini-bus we arrived at Quinta do Tedo. Here we were able to see the whole process of producing port wine as they produce and store the wine at this vineyard. At the end we were able to taste two port wines and a rose wine. That is something you cannot find in Porto so I can highly recommend the tour for port enthusiasts. Luckily the small bus is able to reach small destinations that can not be reached by bigger tour busses. Afterwards we took a great 1 hour boat trip in Pinhao in a small boat with app. 30 passengers. The lunch was offered in a very packed restaurant accompanied by white and red wine. The food was rustic. That might be authentic, might be seen as simple kitchen, maybe not everyones taste. The last stop at D Origem had a fantastic view over the vineyards. We got a tour through some kind of olive oil production museum. They served two different olive oils as well as white, rose and red wine. We bought an LBV 2016 port from Quinta do Tedo and white and rose wine from D Origem. So for us quality of the products of the visited vineyards were quite good and somehow exclusive. Normally I would have given 4 stars due to the packed and loud restaurant, but our guide Sheila was so edutaining and gentle with lots of information that only 5 stars are appropriate.

Très belle vallée avec ses vignes en terrasse.nous sommes partis de Porto par N15 puis il faut prendre la N108.Trajet un peu long et pas beaucoup de panneaux de direction pour nous guider sur le site. Ce fût un peu compliqué ,nous avons trouvé un petit snack sympa au bord du douro pour manger. Journée agréable. Beaucoup de voiture, mais, à voir.

The tour was fascinating, and the Douro Valley along with the vineyards is a must see when visiting Porto. This company provided great service and our guide Pedro was exceptional, keeping things fun and interesting throughout the experience.

Great tour to spend a day in the wine region of duoro, I can completely recommend. We made the tour with sofía. The pick up from our accommodation was very much on time, very professional, good van with ac. All is very structured and organized. There are no unpleasant urprises along the way. Tour starts at 8 am and brings you back to your accommodation at around 5.30.

This was the best experience! I have traveled quite a bit and this was definitely one of my favorite days! Sofia was a wonderful tour guide - she is very knowledgeable and passionate about what her country has to offer. I loved exploring the Douro Valley and tasting wines from the 2 different quintas. Diana was one of then best guides I ve ever have. Douro is a must-do if you re in Porto and Diana is a must for a guide. I d recommend the 3 winery tour rather than the boat cruise option. The selected stops were excellent, she was an exceptional driver, lunch was delicious - it was all 10/10!

What an amazing time we had with Joao, our guide, on two fantastic private tours. First on the 1/2 day tour of Porto, learning about the history of the area including the Cathedral and train station. The next day we spend a full day visiting three wineries and we added a 4th. The whole time we chatted with Joao about everything from wine to food to politics to culture and more. It was such an amazing day and the addition of a visit to Quinta do Santa Eufemia was the cherry on top. The scenery was stunning, the wines delicious but the best was Joao himself. Helio was such a pleasure to deal with during the booking process and we are so thankful that we were scheduled to tour with Joao. Obrigado!!

Great choice! I visited Porto again recently for a friends birthday. She arranged for Helio and one of his drivers Diana to take us out to the Douro valley for a visit to a couple of Port producing vineyards and a lunch up in the hills. It was a fantastic day out. Helio advised on the itinerary and it didnt disappoint - really beautiful. Helio and Diana were very knowledgable, very friendly and chatty and really customer focussed. Tremendous fun, really relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. Muito obrigado guys!

Amazing small group (6 of us) tour by Diana. She was on time, friendly and so knowledgeable. She was even able to do our tour in both English & Spanish so everyone felt included and so comfortable. The medium size wineries and the restaurant she took us to were all very special and authentic (not touristy). We learned so much about wines and Portuguese culture. This was the highlight of our holiday!

My wife and I did the duoro Valley tour while we were in Porto and it was wonderful. Our guide Diana was full of interesting information on Porto and on duoro Valley. She was very knowledgeable and more importantly, she was an excellent driver. They picked us up at our hotel and took us to the valley to a family owned winery and then on a river tour of the valley, then for lunch and finally to a tour of an olive oil museum. Even if the events werent worth it, the views you get to see made it worth it for us

My wife and I booked the Douro Valley Wine Tour on a whim. I found this trip on Google and after a quick search there were a few seats on the tour left so we decided to book the trip, despite not really knowing what to expect (Do not book through other sites, just use their website as I spent an additional twenty euro unnecessarily!) To say the least we were blown away by the experience. I received an email the day before to confirm the address where wed like to be picked up and the time (8:30am). Diana was our driver and arrived on time with the biggest smile ever. The van had room for 8 passengers and Diana. The small group size was an excellent way to get to know the other passengers (all English speaking) and Diana made the trip so enjoyable with her insight and fun tips. It was also nice that she had a mic hooked up to the speakers so we could still hear her in the back. She was funny and courteous and I would not hesitate to recommend this trip enough. I wont speak to the Douro valley because its just too pretty and words dont do it justice. I will say that the wineries we visited were excellent and the lunch we had with the group was a lot of fun. If youre going bring whatever you want in your backpack as they have plenty of room in the van to leave items. Dont wait! Book this trip.

We had an absolute blast on the Oporto Road Trips tour to the Douro Valley! It was incredibly beautiful! Our tour guide Cheila did such a fantastic job- she was very professional, knowledgeable, and fun. We made new friends with the other people on our tour and had a blast. We were so glad we went with a tour instead of driving to the wineries. We would highly suggest it!

My group of friends booked a full day Douro Valley wine tour and had the best experience. The bus picked us up near our hotels in Porto, and then dropped us off near our hotels in Lamego by late afternoon. Our tour was 90 Euros plus tip, and included stops at 2 wineries, a lunch restaurant, and a river cruise (1 hour). Pickup was around 830am and dropoff at 430pm, so its a full day, but an incredible way to spend a day. The two wineries we visited were both unique and gorgeous with great port selections and hosts, and the river cruise was a highlight. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good way to see views of the valley and river and experience port tasting along the way, without having to find your own transportation!

As a group of 4 wanting to see as much of Portugal as we could, we decided to book a day trip out of Porto. We were incredibly pleased with this private group tour option. Our guide, Hélio, was very engaging, knowledgeable and adaptive. We loved that we were able to get picked up (and dropped back off) right from our AirBNB. We stopped for coffee, which we all desperately needed (thank you, vacation!) Our guide was a great driver and made us feel very safe. Hélio was a wealth of information and always made sure we understood. We learned so much along the way. He gave us options to slow down if needed, and when faced with the usual lunch spot being closed, he was quick to find an even better option that we all enjoyed; The black pork and green wine were so tasty! Overall, we were more than satisfied with our day tour and wished we had more time to do another before we left.

I did the tour wine Dianna yesterday. Everything about this day was perfect. She was very kind and personal and there was great attention to detail throughout the day. Great smal Wayne house choices. You get a chance to experience a very authentic production and see some stellar views! The local lunch was so tasty and plentiful! I opted for the river cruise in the afternoon. This was a lovely way to see the valley. Overall would do another tour again with them in a heartbeat! All the research on your companies I did was worth it to find them!
