Cycling Rentals em Sintra

Our bikes were waiting for us at our hotel in Ciudad Real. From there we cycled along the Ruta de Don Quixote in four days to Albacete, the last day on the Via Verde Sierra de Alcaraz. We had a wonderful time, thanks to good bikes and a good service.

I had a great MTB tour through the Sintra National Park. This was one of the reasons why I came here. To explore the area by bike. Thank you, Ralph, the tour was great! :-)

Five star review (out of 5) of Cycling Rentals. We rode the Rota Vincentina route on gravel bikes. Cycling Rentals provided bikes and gear, routes, hotels and moved our luggage with excellent professional services. Being experienced cyclists, we found Cycling Rentals to be spot on with the self guided bicycle trips. We enjoyed the routes which had a mostly rural feel, sometimes challenging but all around wonderful. Of course the segments along the coast are outstanding. I highly recommend Cycling Rentals.

As an avid long distance ultra endurance cyclist I have raced and toured all over the United States and in at least a dozen countries. This summer I was looking for an intense solo adventure followed by a mellow ride with my wife who is a novice cyclist. Cycling Rentals and Tours was able to arrange both for me. I have done similar tours with other outfits in the past who only arranged for a single luggage transfer from the first hotel to the final hotel of the tour. This necessitated me to carry over 40lbs of gear with me in my panniers every day. Cycling Rentals and Tours was able to book tours that included daily luggage transfers and included that in their price. My first solo tour was a 14 day tour on the Camino de Santiago from Pamplona to Santiago de Compostela. My second tour with my wife was an 8 day ride on the EuroVelo from Porto to Ericiera. For both tours, Cycling Rentals and Tours arranged and prepaid for all of the hotels, provided daily luggage transfers, a detailed route guide including dinning and sightseeing options, and Ridewithgps files for each day. The 3 bikes they provided us with worked flawlessly and their support team was available for questions via phone or text. The local support team of Edwardo and Ricky took care of the day to day stuff while Didi back in Florida looked after the big picture items. They were even able to arrange for a last minute transport of my wife and her bike on the final riding day of the EuroVelo tour when I felt she had pushed herself too far. I would definitely use Cycling Rentals and Tours again and highly recommend them to anyone else. I would rate them as 5 stars out of 5 and give them 6 if I could.

I had a wonderful two days experience. My Fantic bike was new and extremely responsive. The mechanics fined tuned things after day one. my positive experience was only made possible by my wonderful guide, Ralph. He was first very concerned with my safety. He initially evaluated my skills and fitness in order to proved the most personalized experience There was no way I could have seen the sights I did without Ralph. THANKS

Got bikes delivered to hotel in Lisbon and dropped them back off at a DPD depot in Faro 6 days later - very easy, good communication, bikes in good condition. All worked out very nicely - would recommend.

Great cycling trip assisted by Cycling Rentals. The bikes showed up on time, in good condition and with all the accessories. Also, the route suggestions took us to some amazing places.

100 out of 10 stars. Highly recommend!! My boyfriend rides much more advanced than me, and Ralph guided us both so that I did easier things and my bf got to ride hard. It was a breeze with the e-bikes, we got to go much farther and see a lot more than if we were on traditional bikes. The views were amazing and our guide was phenomenal. No matter what your level of biking, definitely do a tour with ParkeBike, they can take any level riding and you get to see so much of the forest and coast.

My buddy and I did an e-bike day with Ralph and loved it. Ralph was very friendly, and we enjoyed talking with him as we rode. We did about four hours and saw all the sites around Sintra, made it out to Cabo da Roca, and did some single track and a few technical features. Great way to spend a morning and early afternoon. Rented an MTB from Cycling Rentals for the Camino Del Norte. Excellent communications, bike delivered to my hotel as advertised in excellent condition, absolutely no problems, will definitely rent from them again for other caminos.

Super nette Leute dort, sie haben mir noch geholfen, die Räder beim zurückgeben aus dem kleinen Auto zu laden, haben uns blitzschnell unsere mitgebrachten Pedale montiert, einen Pannenset mit Ersatzschlauch, Reifenhebern und Pumpe dranmontiert. Sehr solide Räder (Rennräder), gut für die portugiesischen Strassen. Phantastische Region, kühle Luft vom Atlantik her. sehr zu empfehlen, man sollte aber fit für Steigungen sein.

Had a blast riding with Ralph of Cycling Rentals. Great knowledge of the trails and local lore. The only downside was trail closures happening this week. We literally ran into a 6 foot wire fence! Be prepared for many steep climbs.

I have rented MTB ebikes from cycling rentals for a trip with my 15-year daughter from Lisbon to Lagos along the Atlantic coast. It was a very good decision. First of all - because it was a pleasure for my daughter to travel in many hilly areas (which would not be the case on a normal MTB bikes). Bikes were of good quality (looked like new ones). Nothething has happened over the entire trip. Batteries were way beyond what we needed (we did not cover more than 60 km per day). Before the trip I have corresponded with Didi and agreed all the details. Bikes were waiting for me in my hotel in Lisbon when I arrived to Portugal and I left them in a drop off point when I arrived back to Lisbon. Did was very helpful i.a. in providing me with the advice on train connections and answering many of my questions prior to the trip. Overall very good service - I do recommend cycling rentals. On top of that, Portugal itself is a beautiful place with nice people and good food. We were traveling at the end of Apr/beg of May and had a sunny weather (with one cloudy day only). #cyclingrentals

I have cycled 4500+ km on the peninsula on bikes from Cycling Rentals. I have always experienced very high level of service and flexibility. Had a few technical issues (as expected with these distances) and they were very up front helping me finding local repair shops. Just walked in to the shop and the fixed the bike right away. Don´t know how they pulled that off but somehow they did. Mostly been in contact with Didi, but they are all very nice and kind. Highly recommended!!

I flew into Lisbon from California for a work that started the following day and Ralph provided an excellent tour of Sintra with 900 m elevation gain and 28 km in 4 hours of single trail bliss. He tailored the trail selections to my skills and fitness (or lack thereof), starting with a great intermediate warm up trail and finishing with a fun set of modest jumps and drops that suited me perfectly. While the selection of bikes is more sparse compared to other MTB destination spots, the trails compete and you can t beat the solitude, beautiful weather and ocean views I experienced in February. Highly recommend checking him out and I plan to return the next time work brings me to Lisbon.

My friend and I completed an all-day MTB tour in Sintra with Ralph. It was a wonderful experience, from start to finish. Ralph was very adept at catering the tour to our specific goals and skill levels. He created a really fun tour of mixed terrain that took us to the coast along trails and to a breathtaking viewpoint in the moutains. He was able to modify our course slightly on the fly to accommodate our pace. He was easy to communicate with before the trip and everything went so smoothly. And, he takes excellent photos!! I will definitely book another trip with Cycling Rentals, especially with Ralph, next time I am in the area. Highly recommended!!!

Our bicycles arrived at our hotel several days before we did, which was very reassuring. Unpacking them and preparing them for pickup at the end of our weeklong journey was straight-forward. Would definitely use them again when biking in Spain or Portugal

My friend Jackie and I rented a couple of e-bikes for a self guided tour of the Rota Vicentina along the southern coast of Portugal. It was a wonderful trip with dramatic coastal scenery and interesting villages along the way. The route and itinerary was very well planned and easy to follow, the nightly B&B accommodations were excellent, and the bikes themselves were high quality and in excellent condition. Diedre, our local consultant, was extremely helpful and accommodating in adapting the tour for our specific needs and preferences. Unqualified recommendation for this trip and tour company!

Had a tour today with Ralph! It was great fun, with a mix of off road and tarmac. Ralph was very informative, took some great photos and generally nice bloke to take us round. The area itself is beautiful and it seems like can it give you all levels of mountain biking from beginner to advanced Recommend!

Ive rented from Cycling Rentals several times over the past few years and the bicycles, the service and the overall attention to detail have always been exemplary. I recently completed the Camino del Norte from Santander. The bike I hired - a Fuji road bike - was fantastic. Built for endurance with excellent wheels, tyres and saddle. I wish I could say the same for me! As Arnie says, Ill be back!

Booked a 4 hour mountainbike trip with Ralph as our guide. Very happy with Ralph, the route was tailored to our needs and the views were amazing. Definitely would recommend it!

Didi and her staff did an amazingly detailed job at providing an excellent self-guided cycling trip along the coast south of Lisbon. We have worked with them before in the Alentejo interior region and we were so impressed again. They really understand cycling needs from the GPS and map navigation to the actual bicycles and to the potential pitfalls along the way. They clearly are cyclists themselves, and put a lot of care into designing their trips. We would use them again and regret they do not extend their reach beyond Spain and Portugal.

We rented 3 bikes for a 5-day Portuguese Coastal Camino and had a very smooth transaction with Cycling Rentals. Ms. Didi was very helpful in our requests and questions. The bikes were great and we had a smooth ride all through out. The saddles needed some getting used to but everything felt fine after 2 days. Would definitely rent with them again when the time comes.

We cycled from Pamplona to Santiago over 12 days in late March/early April 2023. Cycling Rentals provided us with e-bikes, curated our route, booked hotels along the way and even recommended and booked restaurants when possible. The bikes were excellent as was the hotels and support we received. Happy to highly recommend.

After renting 3 bikes from Cycling Rentals as part of their 10 day Camino Touring pack all I can say is that this is an excellent company who take great care of their customers. Didi who I dealt with could not have been more helpful throughout the entire trip and planning process. Deshalb direkt am Folgetag eine geführte MTB Tour bei Cycling Rentals mit Ralph (the Dirt Demon) angefragt. Mit dem Hardtail ging es direkt in das Herz des Parks hoch auf die Berge und auf vielen verschiedenen geilen Singletrails wieder bergab. Es war phantastisch... I rented a gravel bike for a week of cycling in Galicia, and was very happy with Cycling Rentals. Receiving and returning the bike at the hotels was easy, the set-up instructions were clear, communication was easy and the bike was in excellent condition. Already planning my next trip!

Used Cycling Rentals twice. First time October 2022 picked touring bikes up in Sintra and cycled north to Galicia, dropping off at Seur depot in Santiago. Second time June 2023 they arranged drop off at our hotel in Santiago and collection in from Ibis hotel in Irun. Good sturdy touring bikes with bags and all went really smoothly, letting us enjoy the adventure. Saved us bringing our bikes. Didi really helpful and can recommend

We booked a private guide and E- mountain bikes with Cycling Rentals to explore the Sintra Caiscas Reserve. Ralph who took us around made sure we had bottles of water before we started. He was always thinking ahead - he provided instructions on what to expect ahead, where to stop to refill water, where to go for the best viewpoints. He checked in at various points to see how we were doing and how much further we would like to go. It was boiling hot but we managed to cycle 30k and covered far more than we could ever had if we were going off by ourselves. Ralph knows the nature reserve like the back of his hand, he is friendly and we felt safe in the knowledge we were in the hands of a very experienced guide navigating this most stunning nature reserve. We have cycled in Sweden, South Africa and Spain and this was definitely our best ride. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !

Wow!! I just completed a 9-day/8-night self-guided tour from Porto to Sintra and it was nothing short of wicked awesome! This was my first time visiting Europe (23m from VT, USA), and I decided to do it as a solo adventure. Cycling Rentals made the logistics SUPER easy, from arranging the hotels to providing easy-to-follow directions, along with plenty of optional points of interest along the way. I decided to rent an E-bike and I am very happy that I did, it allowed me the ease of taking detours down big hills, without worrying about the climb back up (just got a couple funny looks from non-E-bikers as I passed them on the uphill). Being on a bicycle (rather than crammed in a car) provided the full experience of Portugal it was everything I had hoped for and much more!!

I rented a gravel bike (Kona Rove AL) from Cycling Rentals for a tour in March/April 2023 and am very happy with both the bike and service from Catherine and Didi. I had originally planned on bringing my own bike and was nervous about renting, but everything went smoothly. Next time, Ill plan on renting from them. The option of picking up a bike in one location and dropping it off in another is incredibly useful and saves plenty of time and effort, both precious things when on vacation!

We used cycling rentals to drop bikes at our hotel in Setubal and then they collected from Sagres. The whole experience couldnt have been any better. The communication - from Didi - beforehand was great and the actual delivery process was clear and efficient. We would definitely recommend them and would use them again in future.

We just returned from our self-guided biking tour of the Douro Valley. Cycling-Rentals was wonderful in planning our trip. Excellent bikes waiting for us at the hotel on arrival, very nice accommodations along the way with kind staff, and a great itinerary. They were very responsive to any questions that I had. The biking is very hilly and challenging, but made much easier by having a 24 speed Trek touring bike. Rural area with very few cars and I felt safe biking. Their GPS system worked very well for giving directions. The trip was stress-free as they made all the arrangements and I would definitely do another tour with Cycling Rentals.

Just finished a 3 week cycling trip from Sevilla to Santiago de Compostela. We rented bikes from this company and were extremely happy with the service beforehand and the bicycles. We got great information and detail from Didi which reassured us that the Light Touring Bike was most suitable for our needs. The bikes were better than our own bikes and seemed to be new. Compared with the hassle of packing and flying our own bikes from Ireland I would opt for this everytime. A really first-class service from this company.

We booked the Douro Tour and everything went perfectly: the bikes were new, clean and well maintained; all the equipment and the baggage transfes worked well; the hotels were good and the recommended route perfect! I would definitely recommend Cycling Rentals for a bike tour in Portugal.

Really good experience! The pick worked well, a quick assembly of pedals and adjustment of steering was needed but easy-to-follow instructions were provided. The bikes themselves were really good. We had one womens e-bike which performed really well and one mens hybrid bike which was also really good - the gear range was very good. The drop off was also very easy to follow thanks to the instructions. Lastly, the communication and help we received in the booking process was highly appreciated as we needed to reschedule due to covid-19. Highly recommended

A huge thumbs up from the five of us who recently returned from the wonderful Rota Vincentena Tour from just below Lisbon (Setubal) to Sagres in the Algarve. We all agreed that the attention to detail was quite exceptional including over arrangements to drop off and recover the bikes. The bikes were good quality and sturdy and in great condition and fully equipped with everything you would ever need.. The hotels were all different but all excellent and well done for finding the Enigma where the experience was exceptional- so quiet and in the middle of nowhere with excellent staff and facilities including beautiful swimming pools. But all of the hotels were great in their different ways. The routes were perfect and well done to Cycling Rentals for estimating the length of each ride so accurately. The trip included an excellent combination of deserted roads, a small proportion of off road tracks with fortunately very few main roads. The restaurants you recommended were varied but all of a very high standard. We hope to do the Porto to Lisbon trip next May! The Routzz app means there is no real excuse for losing your way!

Just back from a private mtb tour in Sintra with Ralph and what a day!! Had an absolute blast exploring the area. Ralph was a great guide, so nice not having to look at a map all day, and he dealt well with our different skill levels. Got some really cool photos too! At short notice we booked a private guided mtb tour with Ralph, he sorted out the details quickly and the next day we were riding. The bikes were well maintained and rode nicely, at request came with flat pedals and were the correct frame size. He had absolute knowledge of all the trails and ways up and down Sintra which helped him adapt to two different skill levels of rider (at one point he was able to split us up so that one rider could take a more technical trail down), was great to talk to and took a bunch of excellent photos for us which he sent through straight after the ride. Would not hesitate to recommend, next time were back in Sintra were going for another pedal with Ralph. Cheers.

Honestly, previously I was a bit suspicious about their all five-star reviews, but after I had my 7-day Ponferrada-Santiago camino with their bikes, I can only say that they earn their reputation! The service is very professional - the instructions are very clear, the bikes are in an excellent status, and they respond the emails very quickly. They make bike-renting such a stress-free process. Thank you Didi and all the staff at Cycling Rentals! The only advice - book early.

Just completed the six day Rota Vicentina with Cycling Rentals. All aspects of the trip were excellent. The instructions are easy to follow and the navigation provided makes following the route easy and enjoyable. The route itself is spectacular at times with plenty of opportunity to stop for food and drink at refreshingly modest prices. Accommodation was excellent and the organisation first class. The hybrid bikes we were supplied with were superb and so easy to use. We easily carried all of our luggage in the panniers, leaving plenty of life in the batteries after the longest days. Overall, I would highly recommend Cycling Rentals and am actively looking at our next trip.

I rented a bike with panniers for 10 days, from Logroño to Leon on the Camino de Santiago. I am very satisfied with the communication from Deirdre of Cycling rentals before, during, and after the rental. They delivered the bike perfectly to my hotel in Logroño and picked it up in Leon in good conditions. The bike was very confortable and light which was convenient for long distances. I will not hesitate to use them again!

These folks do a first-rate job. For our week-long rental to bike along the Camino Portuguese, their mountain bikes were well suited to the task, performed great, and delivered & picked up from our hotel on each end. Outstanding.

We picked up our bikes directly in Sintra and were on the road with them for 3 days. The area is brilliant if you like hills. Everything was super easy and the employees are extremely friendly. I am 2 meters tall, also for me there was a bike in the right size. The bikes were well adjusted and helmet, tools, bike tube and pump were included.

We went to Sintra and decided to use Cycle Rentals to get about and do some exploring, we were not disappointed. We were happy with the personalised touch of the staff. Martin & Ralph are two keen cyclists with great local knowledge and a passion for all things bike. They were happy to advice on many biking options around Sintra. There are a couple of options you can choose from. Firstly, I would highly recommend the e-bikes that are accompanied by an app with routes. There are several routes to suit your needs. We chose the Atlantic Adventures. With our e-bikes we saw all the major sites - Montserrat, the National Palace, Pena Palace etc - while also providing some stunning cycling down the coast, through the national park, and over some quaint villages. There are many restaurants on route, we stopped and got some fantastic lunch at a place called Pensau Sisuda. These routes were quiet. The bikes are robust enough to take any terrain hit them. Secondly, we done some mountain biking. This was a bit more challenging but just as rewarding. Again, we experienced some terrific views from the top of the Sintra Mountains. The climb can be achieved by most capable riders. The downhills were challenging but fun. We had a mixture of single-track, road, and dirt road. Should you be in anyway a mountain bike aficionado then I would place my mortgage on you enjoying the tracks around Sintra. There are tracks for all levels everywhere. The bikes are of good quality, we were not riding some restructured Bombay rickshaw. The bikes were sturdy, durable and reliable. Personally, I think the most important factor when riding is that you trust your bike, that it is safe and robust. It seemed to me that the bikes were extremely well maintained. No gear problems - slipping etc; no tire issues - sliding etc; no control issues; solid frames that could take a beating. Brilliant way to experience Sintra and the surrounding countryside.

i rented an electric bicycle, great option for the hills in Sintra and the distance between attractions. come eatly, nice coffee shop around the corner. theyve been active with bicycle tours for over a decade through both Spain and Portugal and probably more. i biked on the down the southern/blue coast pf portugal tour 10 or 15 years ago. great, you go one way and your luggage follows you. also can rent a bicycle from anywhere and do a self guided tour. for my ebike tour i hired a guide through cycling rentals, so worth it, thanks Bruno!

My wife and I rented bikes for our trip down the coast. The whole experience was fantastic. I was probably a bit of a nuisance with all my questions because this was my first bike tour but Didi was so patient and accommodated a couple last minute changes to the pickup location when we missed our trains. The bike itself was a really great ride and perfect for the roads. If planning a route though just stay off the unpaved roads unless you rent a mountain bike with wide tires (at least 55cc)

Just finished a solo bicycle trip around the south coast of Portugal. The team at cycling rentals were incredible from start to finish, and I never had a flat or a breakdown on my bicycle (though I felt assured they were there to help if I did). They were communicative, responsive, and helpful. I would highly recommend their services to anyone!

we have booked a self-guided tour from Setubal to Lagos for six people. Diedre( the company. owner ) has been instrumental in helping us fulfill our particular needs(including. me bringing my. own. recumbent bicycle). The equipment. provided was good quality. and the. instructions ( including one phone app with off-line maps)were clear and very. helpful not only. for navigation but also for turistic recommendations. The hotels were good quality and in one instance( Milfontes) the. interaction with the small hotel owner was memorable. Whenever we needed additional guidance we had a very easy time reaching the company and were provided with. prompt assistance. Overall the entire group was very pleased with the experience and we intent to use the company. for future travels

I did the half day MTB guided tour with Ralph and I had a great time. It was a wet day, raining on and off, but we still covered a lot of ground and trails were in pretty good condition. Ralph is a great guide and has a lot of good stories and history to share, he took some nice photos too. The bike I rented was sturdy and well maintained, I didnt have any mechanical issues or concerns.

I went on two guided mtb tours with Ralph and had a great experience! The area is beautiful, the trails are amazing and Ralph was a great guide, I had a lot of fun, but still always felt safe while riding! Highly recommended and Ill hopefully be able to come back again soon!

Cycling Rentals far exceeded my expectations in terms of organization, communication and planning. Everything was just perfect for my Camino. The bike, the hotels, the navigation and the instructions provided took away all the obstacles for completing the Camino and made the focus about the experience rather than the logistics. I rented a bicycle from Cycling rentals for an 11-day journey from Seville to Gijón in Spain. I rode with three Spanish friends and had the best bike of all. The service was outstanding and the equipment made sure that my only challenge would be my personal endurance in climbing the hills and mountains I had. I highly recommend using this company for cycling journeys in Portugal and Spain.

I rented two hybrid touring bikes (a mens and a womens model) as part of the Camino Santiago 7 Day Touring Pack and was very pleased with their quality in general. Decent bikes with good tires and decent accessories, nothing to complain about. There was one thing though: one spoke in the rear wheel of my bike was loose since the beginning of our trip and on 4th day a neighbouring spoke fractured, probably because of that first being loose. I had to replace those two strokes in a small bike shop, but had no problems getting the reimbursement from Cycling Rentals later. All in all, if youre planning a Camino ride on a rented bike, Cycling Rentals are surely worth to turn to :)

I had a wonderful time riding in Serra de Sintra. It was me and the guide, his name Ralph and all went super well. The place and the route is amazing, extremely beautiful. Ralph is very professional, he knows super well the variety of routes according to your physical condition. The cherry on top of the cake was the amazing photos that Ralph takes, really good and a lovely memory to bring with was. I really recommend it. In group or alone is worth it.

Rented 2 racing bikes for 3 days and it was just awesome! The guys give you great service for anything you need and more. The free app Routes with several custom made routes for the Sintra and national parc + coast area. Just perfect for discovering the area and at the same time keep track of all the biking data youd like. Besides great racing bikes they also have decent mountain bikes.

I rented a road bike from Cycling Rental in Sintra for a day. Riding through Sintra is an extraordinary but tough experience and the free app that Cycling Rentals provide is truly amazing. Make sure to bring your own gear (at least shorts, shirt and shoes). It is also possible to go on a guided MTB-tour but I found that for one person this was too expensive ( 100+).

Ralph was proactive in planning a ride which met my riding ability both from a fitness and and skill perspective which he adapted on the ride. I had a great time exploring the Sintra trails and the only downside was that I did not put enough time aside to ride more of the trails. It is definitely worth planning a guided tour of the Sintra trails with Ralph.

I HIGHLY recommend these guys. They arranged a beautiful one week trip for us last minute do to covid. They were available 24/7 which was super helpful; as we needed to change bikes mid trip and they readily accomodated us ( i needed an ebike as the trip was tougher on my 64 year old body than I thought it would be). We recently completed the Camino Frances over 14 days using electric mountain bikes. The Camino was a great journey and experience. The service provided by Cycling Rentals was excellent. The bikes and equipment provided were well suited for the different paths we followed on the Camino.

We rented bikes from them for our Camino de Santiago. The bikes are great. We didnt have any issue with them. Cycling Rentals did a great job to get bikes to us and collect them after we were done. We had a great time in our adventure thanks to their effort.

Great advise on the type of bike required for our trip, bikes dropped exactly where we asked in a timely fashion, easy to assemble, and picked up from where we finished. Would 100% recommend. Would also reccomend the eurovelo route from Porto to Lisbon which we took over the course of 5 days!

We rent two tour bikes and we did the Rota Vicentina path in Portugal, passing through woods, sandy paths over oceanic cliffs, cycling reserved paths, without any sort of problems. The communication and the service displayed by Cycling Rentals was efficient and ponctual, with clever organizational ideas. Truly recommended for those who want to do cycling tours without coming back to the original point, cause they provide a prompt collection of the bikes according to your exigences. Had a great ride experience going a guided ride with Ralph. The single track we rode was the perfect speed for my level and there is a ton of riding for every level to explore.

We had a fantastic cycling experience with Cycling Rentals. Did the Algarve trip, self supported in early February. The route featured absolutely lovely, quiet roads that we never would have found on our own. Accomodations were terrific, especially Palacio Estoi and Vale Fuzeiros. We rented 5 hybrid touring bikes to do the Eurovelo route from Lisbon to Faro and our experience with Cycling Rentals was fantastic. The bikes arrived to the hotel on time; they were super good quality, very comfortable and perfectly tuned; the luggage we left in Lisbon was waiting for us when we arrived to Faro; and Didi was always fast to answer any questions we had. Completely recommended if you ever want to do a cycling route in Portugal and cannot bring your own bike.

Good quality bikes and very friendly staff. They provide you details of an app which allows you to access a number of pre-defined routes. You can mount your mobile phone to the bikes too so navigation is simple. Got a free water bottle too!

My wife and I did a guided mountain biking tour around Sintra. In 4 hours we covered everything from stunning views to cool single trails and nice flow descents. We rented 2 e-bikes for 2 days to explore Sintra by bike. This was the first time we ever used e-bikes and they were a lot of fun to ride. Riding uphill in Sintra was super easy with these bikes. We charged them overnight, which was easy and quick. A full battery lasted us about 60km. Sintra was one of the highlights of our trip and choosing for these bikes was definitely one of the reasons why.

The service with this company is good but on cancelling the bike that I had paid for for 5 weeks, after the 3rd day that I had it, I was told I could get no refund whatsoever. So beware.

Can t recommend this company enough. I was a nightmare of a customer changing my pickup and drop off location a week before my trip and they went above and beyond to help me find bike friendly hotels. The bike was great and easy to unpack. Thank you!

In May 2019, we rented two 7 Day Camino Pack with Touring bike, 2 x 20L Ortlieb panniers, Handlebar bag, helmet, delivery and collection in Spain. Everything ordered was at our starting hotel when we arrived (in Ponferrada). There were clear and easy instructions. The bikes performed flawlessly. For collection we chose to ride to the Seur pickup location (pay the 15 each to drop in Santiago instead), especially if you will be on your limit when you get there. The folks at Cycling Rentals were very responsive, helpful, courteous, and even made a last minute requested change for us. I would 100% recommend them and 100% use them again! THANK YOU!!

A great way to explore the area around Sintra! We rented for 3 days. The bikes were in great condition and the e-motors made climbing a breeze. If you are planning to stay at a quinta outside the town of Sintra, visit the palaces and beaches - this is definitely one of the best options. The staff was polite and very helpful with tips and helping us attach a small suitcase to one of the bikes. Cyclists with little experience should be extra cautious due to the regions lack of cycling infrastructure. You will be sharing the tight, mostly one-way roads with cars, busses and tuk-tuks. The store isnt open 7 days in the week, so returning the bikes could be a bit inconvenient.

Very nice bicycles, rented the Camino pack and everything was well described, neat and tidy. Comes with tools, pump, helmet and 3 panniers, and everything you need for the trip. Even a little oil for the chain! Couldn t have been easier. Rented it in León, the bike was standing in a box at the hotel when we arrived. Also I could have left it in Portugal, if I needed to. Very nice staff aswell! No complains at all. Just a tip, the Camino de Santiago is very dusty so you might need to bring more oil for the chain. We went 300 km in total.

We have rented three e-bikes for five days for a tour from Huelva to Albufeira. On-time delivery and hassle-free collection. The bicycles in perfect condition. Very convenient not having to carry the bike from home to the starting point. We will repeat.

Arrived Santiago de Compostela today after 6 days biking from Porto. Cycling Rentals delivered the bikes earlier than expected to us, so they were at our hotel upon arrival. All equipment, as stated in their website for a camino rental, was there. All we had to do was straighten the handlebars, attach the pedals (tool included), pack up the panniers, adjust the seat to our comfort (tool included) and off we went. We rented mountain bikes..Fuji Nevada. They did great all along the trail which was wet with all the rain..March 2018. And the waterproof panniers kept our clothes dry! Packing the bikes and equipment back up for them to pick up was easy...good instructions. I highly recommend renting from this company. They were easily available by phone or email and the equipment was awesome. I will rent from them in the future. Thank you Cyling Rentals. Buen camino.

We have just completed a cycling holiday around Portugal. We hired four touring bikes with panniers and helmets, the bikes were Fugi and were first class as were the panniers. I personally didn t rate the helmets and would have taken my own had I known. The others in the group didn t seem to find them an issue. We covered around 350 miles and apart from a couple of punctures had trouble free comfortable cycling.

very nice staff! we were looking to rent bikes for a group of 8 people and they didnt have any bikes left since we didnt make a reservation in advance which is totally acceptable. One of the staff members than gave us advice on where to rent bikes in Sintra and what to do if we werent abe to rent bikes!! very nice and pleasant experience

I used the cycling-rental for my 10 days Camino from St. Jean to Santiago. Their service was exceptional, they were very responsive on emails and phone calls. I was little worry, that the bike will not be delivered on time, but as they promised they delivered the bike a day before my start date at hotel. The bike was great and had no issue at all during my 10 days. Thanks Didi and team for great service and support, I highly recommend them for any biking trip you may have.

Twelve of us rented bicycles to ride the final 500km of the Camino de Santiago--a wonderful trip. The bikes were virtually perfect--in excellent condition and exactly as promised. Delivery and collection were flawless, and the advice provided by the company regarding bike type and size for each rider was spot-on. Highly recommended!

The whole service is just fantastic - great equipment (I rented Road Touring Bike Rental); the bike was ready half a day before an actual trip; the team was quickly responsive to all emails; ... everything on highest level. I was cycling Portugal on my own: starting from Lisbon, via Sines, Aljezur, Sagres, Lagos, Albufeira and ending in Faro.

Definitely the best way to experience Sintra. Grab an e-bike for the day and enjoy tackling the many sights at your own pace. Be warned that Sintra is huge, but the bike helps you fly up the mountains and enjoy the scenery. With the bike rental, I was able to see all the sights I wanted to and didnt waste a moment waiting on buses.

Ordered bike for the Santiago de Compostelo Norther Road and was superbly happy on what Ive got. Bike was really good, all equipment added, got the bike to my hotel where I was starting my trip and was able to drop it in the last place of my stay. We rented bikes from Cycling Rentals for a weeklong trip through Andalucia, and had a great experience. Everything was seamless - the bikes were waiting fully assembled at our first hotel when we arrived, and they were picked up at our final hotel with no need for us to re-pack them. Prior to the trip staff member Didi Knowlton was extremely helpful in taking us through our options and ensuring that we had exactly the bikes we needed for our trip. Highly recommended!

Been there twice now and theyre awesome. Always super helpful and are passionate about what they do. They do tours if you need as well and know all the trails for the mountain bikers who know what theyre actually doing. Theyre the only bike rental place in the area with actual mountain/road bikes as well as e-bikes. Cant recommend them enough. I plan to go to them every time Ill be in the area
