I rented a campervan for 2 weeks. As i’ve rented quite a few campers/camping gear in the past, I’d thought I’d share my experiences. - Communication is on point. I have sent quite a few questions before renting and always got quick answers. - Pricing is decent for what you get, although I do feel that the extra insurances can make it pricy if you opt for these. - technically, the van was more that fine. Not once did I feel that, from a driving perspective, anything was wrong. - the quality of the gear and the camping-side of the van does feel it could be improved. The interior of the van felt a bit dated with a lot of tiny things being (partially) broken. Cabinets which don’t close smoothly, the stove was a bit of a hassle when using 2 burners, the blinds and window covers were damaged and so was the floor in a few spots. Nothing major, but it does make the experience feel less that it could be. In all I’d recommend renting here. The vans feel safe, the pricing seems fair and the owners feel like honest people.
Free spirit campers had provided us with sleeping bags for our stay in Portugal for the WYD (JMJ). It was really comfortable and very clean. The sleeping bags kept us warm during some really chilly nights. Would highly recommend free spirit campers as your go to place for sleeping bags. Thank you so much for the wonderful service! ❤️
Had used the sleeping bags they offered and there were really comfortable. Their length was enough and it was comfortable to sleep no issues whatsoever. Would recommend 100% and it's not pricey at all.
I attended the World youth Day 2023 in Lisbon. For this period i needed to rent sleeping bags for my team and me. Adelia was really supportive of us and was able to provide us with as many as 8 sleepings bags, if needed. The sleeping bags were quite clean. I would highly recommend Adelia and Free Spirit Campers for renting Sleeping Bags. She was also very understanding as were a bit late in delivering the sleeping bags back. My friends and i (4ppl) used Free Spirit Campers during our last trip to Portugal. From start to finish they were nothing but helpful and we really enjoyed our time. Great response time, customer service, fair price, and accommodating with the pick up and drop off location. I would highly recommend Free Spirit and will use them again next time i'm in Portugal.
Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay in Portugal with Free Spirit Campers. We had a smaller van and it had everything we needed for 2 weeks of travel through Portugal. The customer service was amazing and we can definitely recommend this company if you are looking for a reliable hire company. The pricing was very suitable as well.
We had a great experience with these Vans! Everything was great in our trip, we had a small problem with the sink but the owner helped us to solve the problem very quick. Highly reccomended!
We had a wonderful time with our Little campervan exploring the Algarve. The van was brand new (not even 2 years old) and equipped with everything we needed for our trip. Adélia and Alberto have been very helpful and gave us great recommendations on which places to visit and what we souldn't miss out. Also, Adélia gave us a very infrming tour through all the functions of the van so that we were exellently equiped for our voyage. Next time we visit Portugal, we will definetively come back.
Absolutely amazing experience with Free Spirit Campers; our campervan was incredible we felt so spoilt with the set-up and campervanning experience all around the Algarve region. Thanks Adélia for helping us have a fantastic trip!
We rented the Mini Van. The owner Adélia who also runs the business is super friendly and took very well care about our requirements and explained everything in detail. All in all it was a very very great experience! Next time I`ll come back to Portugal Free Spirit Campers will be the first choice.

We rented a minivan for 2 people and it was the perfect size. The car was in a great condition, hardly having any scratches. Everything went pretty smoothly and it s always possible to contact the owners if necessary. If we ever decide to go camping in Portugal again this will be the place to come back to ;) thanks !
Toda a experiência da Free Spirit Campers foi muito positiva. Desde o contacto inicial até à entrega da carrinha, fomos sempre muito bem atendidos e recebidos. A autocaravana Premium está muito bem equipada, muito à frente do que é oferecido noutras empresas semelhantes, e é bastante simples de utilizar. O espaço interior é muito bem aproveitado, tornando esta autocaravana uma excelente opção para explorar o nosso Portugal, ou para aventuras maiores na Europa. Os preços são justos e acessíveis. Recomendo!
Abbiamo affittato un van per una settimana girando tutto il Portogallo. Siamo stati benissimo. Pazienza e disponibilità nel spiegarci ogni dettaglio! Molto raccomandati!

Óptima experiência. A autocaravana tinha tudo o que era necessário para sobreviver a 3 dias nas estradas do interior. O Alberto e a Adélia foram espetaculares na forma como nos receberam e explicaram tudo direitinho para funcionar com a autocaravana. Sem dúvida que é uma experiência para repetir. I rented an R/V for six days in late September/early October 2019. I had a very positive experience with this company. They were extremely responsive and available for all questions. The R/V that we rented was in very good shape and came as advertised. I was charged a fair price and as quoted for the rental. I had a great time in Portugal. I would definitely use Free Spirit Campers again.

Everything was tip top. Portugal is such an amazing country to travel by camper. Campsites were so well equipped and up-to-date. People were nice and very helpful. Free Spirit Campers was a great choice for a van rental. Very flexible and versatile. Really friendly to deal with. The camper was lovely and in perfect condition. Would highly recommend.
Very nice experience with the mini van in a 6 days road trip in south of Portugal. The team is great, the van was almost new and clean. I recommend!
Very friendly team and Adelia is doing a great job. Pickup at the airport was perfect organised (even with a delayed flight), introduction to our car without time pressure with all the important informations.. We got a camping guide and also a discount card, booth very useful for our vacation. Return was smooth and professional again, so we got also a ride to the ferry station. From my point of view: Thumb up and like.

Atendimento e serviço horrível que prejudicou bastante a expriência. Ao contrário, a experiência com a Campersonway foi perfeita.
Autocaravanas de má qualidade e conforto. Já tivemos experiencias com outras autocaravanas de outras empresas que eram bastante melhores como Campersonway e Indicampers.
Free Spirit...de free nada tem. Dirigi-me à morada divulgada, em Almada, com intuito de obter mais informações e reservar uma camper. Para a entrada no parque de estacionamento tive de me identificar, o que acho estranho, mas, tudo bem. O segurança liga para a empresa/loja/escritório/qualquer coisa...e perguntam o: o que é que quer?...devo querer hortaliças... como é que tinha sabido daquele local?...divulgam na net e querem passar despercebidos. Achei esta atitude extremamente arrogante e pretenciosa. O facto de ter interesse nos serviços deles, estava a ser uma grande massada! Como tal, não aconselho a visita a estes senhores...pelo menos na hora da sesta!!!!
Merveilleuse expérience avec le fiat doblo, le véhicule est neuf, propre et très confortable! Parfait pour deux personnes Le personnel de chez free spirit est adorable. Je vous conseille fortement de tenter l expérience avec eux, vous ne le regretterez pas :) Wonderful experience with the fiat doblo, the vehicle is new, clean and very comfortable! Perfect for a couple Free spirit staff are adorable. I strongly advise you to try the experience with them, you will not regret it :)

Bonjour à tous, Jai loué un van pour une semaine et donc pu effectuer 2000 kms du Sud au Nord du Portugal. Super expérience que je conseille à tous, car le Portugal est facile daccès pour les campers. Le Van est impeccable à tous les niveaux et laccueil est Pro et simple. Comptez plus dune heure pour la livraison du Van, car évidemment cest plus quune voiture !!!! Il y a pas mal de consignes. Compagnon idéal pour découvrir ce beau pays.

Free Spirit team is very nice and responsible. They provide everithing needed to make our trip to Alentejo just perfect. The equipment is very complete, practical and functional. Van, sheets, pillows, sleeping bags, dishes, forks, nifes, just ask for. They have everithing! I will surely repeat the experience! Ricardo.

All the conditions to comfortably enjoy a getaway or vacation. Ideal for participating in sports events such as the Powerade Madrid Lisboa non-stop mountain bike race, as was our case.
Aceitar desafios, ir para a aventura mas de forma confortável e tranquila. Recomendo a todos, em especial a quem nunca utilizou este tipo de meio para ir de fim de semana, férias ou a algum evento desporto por exemplo. Certamente a repetir com mais aventura ainda e o mesmo divertimento!
