They were in excellent condition and the staff spent time making sure that they were adjusted to fit us and that we had a good sense of how to find the major local sightseeing bike route (Ecovia). Rented two road bikes here. Bikes were great, full carbon and electronic shifting. De guys in the shop took their time to adjust the bikes for us. Great service as well to allow us to pick up the bikes a day early at the end of the day without charge. This allowed us to leave early in the morning to avoid the heat. We downloaded one of the tracks on the website which was a great choice. Good roads, beautiful scenery and very quiet. Would recommend this place to everyone looking to ride near Tavira.

I bought a new CUBE trekking hybrid eBike and shipped it from Germany. Two or three of the highest gears were not changing correctly (jumping up and down between gears). After 250km I booked a check-up at Abilio Bikes and Wilson (the bike technician) did a great job adjusting the gear change which is now perfect! Thank you Wilson! In addition, the shop is really nice, well organised and has a good stock of equipment and spares all very neatly displayed. I bought a few items and the female assistant (sorry, I didnt get her name) was extremely helpful and patient while I decided on the items I wanted. I can highly recommend Abilio Bikes based on my experience of their good service. UPDATE: I cycled from Tavira to Olonzac (2101 km) without a single problem! Thanks again to Abilio Bikes!

Last week we were informed by the staff that this shop were selling their old rental E bikes for 1500 , so today my partner drove 40 miles to Tavira to purchase one , When she arrived she was informed that they are not selling them till new stock arrives ( although they were unloading new stock last week ) E bikes . She also said she found the staff Rude especially the female member of staff . My partner would have possibly purchased a new E bike for 3k as she wants a E bike but found the female member of staff so rude , she left the shop. Poor !! Customer service manners cost Nothing !! 17.06.2024. Ref : your response , she left because she found your female member of staff very rude .

Top service at a good price.

Excellent service. We had a bike lock problem in a small-town and they came to the rescue. We had an injury and the bikes needed to be picked up at some farm house...again they came to the rescue AND no extra charges. Wonderful people, very good bikes and they bend over backwards to help!

Great bike shop to rent from in the Tavira area. They have quality bikes, staff that know how to fit them to riders, and accessories on-hand to make the ride better. They provided panniers with rain covers at no cost for our wet ride, and a Garmin mount for my bike computer. Would wholeheartedly recommend them for anyone wanting to get out on two wheels in the Algarve.

Have used them before so this time booked a couple of city bikes online for two days hire. Both were ready to pick up as requested, with a pannier, additional locks, helmets etc all included. Very friendly service even though it was clearly a busy period for them. Explored the Ecovia east and then next day west with the bikes, with occasional diversions to see more of the countryside. The bikes ran quietly and smoothly all the time and have been well maintained. A nice way to explore the area away from the tourist centres.

Rented two comfort bikes. Very good condition, nice friendly service, thought the price of 17 euro each for the day was good. Bikes supplied with locks and a pannier. Would rent again.

Popped in today with my rear wheel as I was stuck, needed a new cassette. Found one that would have got me out of trouble, asked if they could fit it ( knowing it to be a 2 minute job) they said they could but I would have to leave it and they would call me. I asked if I could use there tools to change it myself. They said no. First time a bike shop has let me down.

Not good for rental. This is a bike sale shop and seems to do rental reluctantly. Staff are blunt almost rude, it is expensive, the bike issued was not suited or sized correctly, and we were given no tourist map or guide or view a wall chart of the area. The couple in front with greater with I hate Mondays served us with its card for hire cash for deposit if you don t like that then go to cash dispenser or another shop, basic bike 17 a day available 10 elsewhere and MTB or electric very expensive indeed. Rent elsewhere !

Rudeness and impoliteness.rudeness and impoliteness. they ask for a 100 euro deposit in CASH and they also tell you you have to move and decide that we will close in 2 minutes... crazy prices and if you want to rent a day and 3 hours they charge you for 2 days.

Nice people, excellent service, great E and ordinary bikes and adequate prices. When you are looking for something like this in Tavira, you should go there. For us this was a very pleasant experience.

We hired Mountain bikes on 2 separate days, during our stay in Tavira. The service is very efficient and you are away riding, very quickly. No lengthy form filling, just a few simple details, a 40 deposit for 2 bikes and the bikes were 24 each, per day. The bikes were Trek and looked brand new. Definitely recommend

Hired a road bike for 3 days and great service from Abilio Bikes. The shop let me collect it at the end of the day before the start of my loan which was great and meant I could get straight out the next morning. They asked for measurements which I didn t have (recommend bringing), other shops I have hired from elsewhere haven t asked for this so that was a good sign! The shop happy to help with set up etc. bike in great condition and well maintained. Friendly service, all round pleased and would recommend! Beautiful area for cycling with quiet roads and gradual climbs if you go out up into the hills.

Impeccable bikes - rented a mountain bike twice in one week; it was in great condition and included pump, repair kit (neither needed but nice to have just in case!) and they provided a lock. Staff were really helpful and friendly. They do a wide range of bikes, I decided on a mountain bike because I knew some of the terrain I planned to ride would be more comfortable with wide tyres.

ho noleggiato una bici da corsa per una settimana. per 26 euro al giorno ho pedalato su una trek emonda con gruppo Shimano 105 in perfette condizioni. staff disponibile e gentile. inoltre le strade intorno a tavira sono veramente ideali per la bici da corsa, manto stradale perfetto e traffico inesistente. consigliatissimo agli amanti del ciclismo su strada.

We where a group of 25 Norwegians who hired bikes from Abilio, el, comfort and mtb in mix. Everything was very smooth, the bikes was ready when we arrived, good information to the participants. This was the second time I have a group with syclist to Tavira, will with no doupt use them next time aswell. Thank You so mutch.

I purchased my bike from Abílio Bikes 4 years ago and they are a top notch company, the customer service is premier service and I get my bike checked every year, they pick it up and service my bike and bring it back. Cost is reasonable and again the customer service is premier service.

Ik heb hier een racefiets gehuurd. Goede TREK carbonfiets, goed onderhouden. Aardig en deskundig personeel. Goede prijs. En hele mooie rustige heuvelachtige (tot 500 m) omgeving met goede wegen.

Abzocke - Hände weg - ein Stern ist zu viel - trotz Anruf wegen Verspätung von 2(!) min und der persönlichen Begegnung mit dem Mitarbeiter vor dem Laden wurden die Räder nicht zurückgenommen und das Deposit einbehalten - 74 für 2 Räder für einen Tag - Wucher! Uns wurde unverschämte Kommunikation vorgeworfen, dabei haben wir uns am Telefon nur entschuldigt und höflich gebeten zu warten - null Flexibilität wegen nicht mal 5min! Mir ist die Sprache weg geblieben bei so viel Unhöflichkeit und dreister Lüge. Nie mehr wieder! Wenn man Fahrräder verleiht sollte es auch eine Möglichkeit der sicheren Rückgabe außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten geben. Kundenservice sieht definitiv anders aus.

Der ganze Vorfall ist nun schon fünf Jahre her, allerdings habe ich mich eben an diesen Fahrradladen erinnern müssen. Der Shop war damals vom einen auf den anderen Tag geschlossen, sodass wir unser Deposit nie zurückerhalten haben. Auf Emails wurde nicht reagiert, auch mehrere Telefonanrufe haben nicht dazu geführt, dass wir unser Geld erstattet bekommen haben. Katastrophal.

Twee mtbs gehuurd, perfect afgeleverd en opgehaald aan ons verblijf. Van beide mtb zat de voorvork vast, geen enkele vering.Toen ik dit melde werd mij gezegd dat ik hen had moeten contacteren. Van fietsen die afgeleverd worden mag je toch verwachten dat ze in orde zijn. Technieker lachte alles weg. Fiets was voor het overige oké. Niet voor herhaling. herhaling

Een heel goede fietsenmaker. Een fiets met 6 gebroken spaken in voor en achterwiel hier laten repareren. Heel netjes en goed gedaan tegen een heel vriendelijke prijs. Heel nette winkel en vriendelijk personeel.

First visit, was supposed to have a new chain on the bike but also got new brake pads and service. Newly moved to Portugal, so I dont really know how it works here, but if there are more visits, I have to press that it should not be done more than what I want.

Superservice. Zwei Speichen direkt nebeneinander gebrochen und damit auch noch die Hohlkammerfelge verzogen. Alles in zwei Stunden erledigt, für kleines Geld. Und nebenbei auch noch dem Zahnriemen das Quietschen abgewöhnt. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Rented a roadbike for a week. Well maintained bike and friendly mechanics.

Just hired 2 ebikes for 3 days. We had 2 trek bikes with bosch electric components, excellent quality bikes, easy to use and feel confident on. The bikes were delivered to our accommodation and the service was excellent. We were given 2 helmets and a pump and spare inner tubes. We had panniers to carry our bits and pieces. Overall a great experience and we wouldn t hesitate to recommend and use them again.

Having relocated to Tavira from the UK I was nervous at having to find a cycle shop to keep my beloved Giant Defy in tip-top condition. I need not have worried - last week the Abilio techies replaced brake pads and gave some TLC to the gears. Took the bike out on a trip to Castro Marim yesterday - the bike rides like a new bike. Great friendly service at a great price. Would recommend them without hesitation.

We rented two Trek Emondas and a Trek e-bike for a week. Communication over email was great (we added a bike afterwards), prices are excellent and quality of bikes is good - mechanically spot on. Delivery was on time and they happily swapped one of the Emondas no problem when it transpired wed booked the wrong size. The staff are all very friendly. Only downside is the cash deposit - for travellers like us means we are stuck with 300 cash on the last day of our trip.

Leider kein gut gewatetes eBike: Für 35.- (-was zwar ortsüblich ist) pro Tag erwate ich ein exakt eingestelltes Frontlicht und keine knatternde Kette...

Habe an meinem E-Bike (Giant Explore E+1 Pro GTS) die Kette wechseln lassen, hinten die Bremsklötze erneuern und die Schaltung musste eingestellt werden. Bei der Reparatur stellte sich heraus, das die Steckachse vom Hinterrad getauscht werden musste. Alle Arbeiten wurden erstklassig erledigt. Mein Rad läuft besser als am ersten Tag. Nun noch das Beste: Die Rechnung belief sich auf ganze 87,00. In Deutschland hätte ich bestimmt das doppelte gezahlt. Hier lohnt sich jeder Weg. Vielen Dank

Se muitos podem avaliar a parte da loja e mecânica, eu tenho a sorte de poder também ter uma opinião sobre a pessoa do seu gerente Luis Branquinho , pois também ele foi meu cliente. O Luis tem a loja que todos os proprietários gostariam de ter, as melhores marcas, os melhores serviços e os melhores mecânicos. Great bike shop, very friendly service. Used two well maintained Trek hybrid/trekking bikes for 5 day cruising the amazing Ria Formosa. Up to 60 km (back and forth) either way from Tavira. Fantastic tracks through the Salinas with amazing bird spotting (yes, including Flamingos, Storks and many more). We ll come again!!

Best bike shop ever! I arrived on tour after three days of pushing my bike and taking trains. No shop could help me. I was in tears! They helped me immediately and it only cost me 20% of what I expected. They were fast and had me riding again in under 2 hours! Miracle workers and bike angels!

Great bike shop for servicing and RENTING a bike. Algarve is best explored on a bike to give you time to appreciate the beautiful view. AbilioBikes provides a great variety of bike rentals with fair prices and a very friendly and helpful service. Renting was as simple and fast as grabbing a coffee and the bikes have great quality. The shop also has a few bike gear options if you came unprepared. Highly recommended. Get and bike and get on the Ecovia bike trail.

The workshop seems great to me. However today I entered the saleshop to buy me a bike and found a woman there who did not really do her best to sell me anything. A brief answer to any question I asked, nothing more. So I left disappointed. I have seen this attitude more often in Portugal and it still surprises me.

My MTB desperately needed service after 8000 km in mostly rough terrain. The whole drivetrain was replaced including all gears, chain and bottom bracket. It runs perfect now, like I have a brand new bike.

Volledige servicebeurt van mijn e-bike met Bosch middenmotor inclusief update + vervangen achterband naar volle tevredenheid en zeer betaalbaar uitgevoerd.

Achterband vouwfiets: binnen-en buitenband gescheurd. Beide had men op voorraad en na een half uur gemonteerd tegen een minimale prijs. In begin wel even op onze beurt moeten wachten. Dus zeer tevreden!

07-OCT-2020: This time only one star because there were no MTB s at all, staff told me all stock MTB s were sold and it was unclear if and when new stock would arrive. Hope they do not plan to focus on city and e-bike rental only.

Um GPS deve ser instalado. O chefe me mostrou um adaptador periférico Bosch, que obviamente teve que ser cortado. Em vez disso, cortou a linha principal entre o motor e a bateria porque, como especialista da Bosch não sabia que existiam duas ligações no motor precisamente para este fim, onde bastava ligar o adaptador. Ele disse que eu queria assim. Ele também não queria consertar, mas sim empurrar-me para o concessionário em Faro onde comprei a bicicleta. Eu não aceitei isso. Em seguida, consertou a cablagem (perda da garantia) e só quando paguei uma nova cablagem por mais de 100 euros para além desta instalação é que a instalou gratuitamente. Após o conserto, a capa protetora do garfo na altura do pedal e de dois outros lugares foi rasgada, pois as rodas reparadas são sempre colocadas na frente, onde cada cliente encosta sua bicicleta nos garfos das rodas reparadas (ver foto). Em seguida, encomendei novamente o filme por 40, portanto, com reparos e chicote de fiação, um total de 200 sem o GPS. Não é lidar com clientes. Para a resposta abaixo: Você não entendeu (porque não conhece seus produtos - apenas leia). Eles estão mentindo sobre o que aconteceu: 1. O motor tem duas conexões nas quais você pode conectar um GPS diretamente com carga permanente durante o ciclo, mesmo sem luz. 2. Um colega seu ligou e queria me persuadir a conectá-lo ao cabo principal (depois que provavelmente já havia acontecido) porque ele sempre carrega. Eu nunca teria concordado com isso. 15 minutos depois, recebi a ligação de que eles haviam tentado isso e quebraram a moto no processo (no caso de um comportamento particularmente esquerdo de sua parte). 3. Seu fork foi riscado porque seus processos não estão certos (ou propositalmente?). Mais importante, não esperava outra resposta sua. Claro que é sempre culpa do outro. Meus fatos estão 100% corretos. Não preciso mentir - e como médico alemão não estou acostumado a isso.

Great quality bike that was very well maintained, excellent service and excellent value. Did a great, but very tough, 100km ride into hills.

Hired a carbon road bike for 3 days and did 300k. Good bike and helpful staff who offered route suggestions. Great riding in the area. Unfortunately had a puncture on the third day and discovered that the emergency spare tube supplied was also punctured. Fortunately, I had taken another spare tube with me and eventually got it fixed - after initially thinking the pump might be faulty and phoning the shop for advice. Was in the middle of nowhere at the time, 50k from Tavira, with hardly any passing traffic, so after 45-60 mins faffing, I was extremely relieved to be able to ride home! In my opinion the mechanics should have checked that the spare tube was a new one before handing over the bike. Lesson learned: double check yourself! Also carry another spare (which I usually do) just in case the same thing happens or you get two punctures. Staff did apologise on return but there was no offer of any token compensation for the stress and inconvenience.

No es recomendable. El personal de la tienda no tiene maneras para decir las cosas. Nos marchamos sin comprar debido a su atención, ya que se nos cayó unas botellas de ciclismo al cogerlo, como personal de tienda no lo recomiendo. Creo que es normal coger algo cuando vas a comprar.

Maravilloso el trato, profesionalidad, las bicicletas perfectas. Hemos ido en Semana Santa y nos han tratado fenomenal. Nos han propuesto rutas magníficas y he disfrutado muchísimo. Merece la pena ir a conocer esta zona y alquilar bicis con ellos. Tienen tanto de montaña como de paseo o carretera. Muy preparados y precio inmejorable (muy muy barato y es por 24 horas, no por horas como en otros sitios así q es te da libertad total). Hay un montón de rutas y según tus preferencias y preparación te proponen. ¡Pienso repetir y volver a alquilar con ellos! Espero que pronto

A giugno mi sono concessa tre giorni di vacanza a Tavira e siccome sono unamante della bicicletta unamica mi aveva consigliato Abilo Bikes. Sono partita da sola, perciò ero un popreoccupata di non riuscire a trovare un tour giusto per me, ma non appena sono entrata mi sono sentita immediatamente accolta. Innanzitutto nessun problema con la lingua perchè la ragazza che mi ha assistito parlava inglese, spagnolo e perfino italiano. Mi ha trovato per la mattina dopo un tour in bici con altre persone ed una guida. Mi sono divertita molto! Il ragazzo che ci accompagnava nel tour era preparatissimo: ci ha parlato di bici, dellAlgarve e della natura che ci circondava. Ci ha anche insegnato a pedalare nellacqua! Poi abbiamo finito il tour con un bagno in un lago. Non è la prima volta che affitto una bici durante un viaggio, ma sicuramente è stata la prima volta in cui mi hanno dato unottima bici e ben adatta a me. Questestate sicuramente tornerò!

As bicicletas foram prontamente no tempo no nosso hotel em Monte Gordo entregue e totalmente completo, incluindo capacetes e fechaduras. Em caso de dúvidas, foram sempre correta e extremamente amigável falado e ajudou. Perto está o muito finas bicicletas, tanto no plano e nas montanhas do interior.
