Maria was our guide and we had the chance to be the only ones in the tour, which was really great because it was like a private tour experience! We learned a lot about the city and country and Maria shared a lot of little fun facts wich made the tour light but insightful. Thank you very much !

We did the Aveiro Tour. The tour was superb! We had a lovely afternoon. The mini-bus trip was pleasant, as well as the walks in Aveiros and Villa Nova, the boat trip and the Ovos moles pastries. The explanations given were of a very good standard. What was particularly remarkable was that the guide (Jão) and the driver (Vítor) were really attentive, happy to share their knowledge and Portuguese culture. I recommend this tour!

I did the Douro Valley tour as a single traveller. Had a great time on this wine tour. I was hesitant on taking this tour as these types of tours tend to be packed and rushed. Although our group was large and part of a big bus, it was pleasant and didnt feel overcrowded. Our tour guide, Rita, was very entertaining and engaged with each guest. The pacing at each of the sites we visited was well timed as it didnt feel rushed and we didnt overlap with other tour groups. Lunch was delicious and I highly recommend the pork option.

We had a wonderful day exploring the Douro Valley with a small group of 7 and amazing guide Pedro C.! Pickup from our hotel was super smooth and Pedro provided a lot of interesting facts and information during the drive along with a lot of great energy! Each stop on the tour was unique and we got to try a big selection of wine along with some local products like honey and olive oil. The Douro Valley is breathtaking and this tour was the perfect way to spend our last day in Portugal!

Our trip was amazing, we did the two vineyards, tastings, lunch, boat cruise, and saw the best bits in the region. Andre was brilliant, and he got the group chatting and singing songs in the van, and the good vibes were flowing. Andre did a great job with our group of 6, taking us to multiple sites and explaining the history of the locations. He was professional and passionate about the details and history of the area. His music selection was spot on with the type of music my family and I enjoy.

Absolutely stunning tour, with our fantastic tour guide Paulo. Paulo was extremely kind, personable, and funny never a dull moment. Each experience on the tour was unique, which kept it exciting. We had the opportunity to try many different wines, with thorough explanations and visuals. Additionally, there was no instance that we were unable to have more of wines we liked or tried additional wines simply out of curiosity. The lunch was quite good as well, much better than expected from a tour. We had wine with bacalhau a bras, as well as very tender pork with a mushroom risotto. Very satisfying! Overall, 5/5 experience and would definitely recommend.

Paulo is an awesome guide. It was a wonderful spent touring the Douro Valley and tasting wines. Paulo is knowledgeable about the history, food, wine and plants. I highly recommend the tour for anyone traveling in Porto.

A truly amazing day. From the communication to the pick up at our hotel, there was never a question as to what we were supposed to do. When our guide, Steve, arrived we knew we would have an excellent day. He is friendly and caring in addition to his wealth of knowledge about all aspects of the tour and history. Our first stop for restrooms and snacks was perfect timing and duration, not to mention the snacks were ridiculously cheap. Then we did the boat tour of the Douro River. It was very comfortable with indoor and outdoor seating, and the scenery was stunning. Then on to lunch at a picturesque venue with super friendly service. The views were wonderful. Then the two wineries which were each unique in their own way. The hosts were fantastic. The many samples were wonderful. Steve constantly made sure we were well taken care of and always comfortable. Steve even was kind enough to let us know not to feel bad on the ride back if we fell asleep. After so many tastings it would be hard to imagine not falling asleep on the smooth and comfortable ride back. Thanks Steve. You are the best.

We selected this tour based on reviews and we were very pleased with our friendly and funny guide Andre! We were picked up exactly on time in front of the hotel. Then we were joined by 4 other people making our group of 7. There was another van that joined us in a couple locations. It was really nice to be in a small group in the van. One couple did three wine tastings. We did the boat ride on the Douro river then the lunch and two tastings. Lunch was very delicious and more than we expected. We had soup, salad, olive oil tasting, bacalhao a Bras (codfish with potato sticks), and chocolate cake with port wine. The tour guides at the wineries were all very knowledgeable and fun too. And the views of the valley while driving were stunning in every direction. We were lucky to have a sunny day in February. Definitely recommend this tour!

Our guide was Steven who was excellent, well informed, great history knowledge. We did the 2 wineries and river cruise option which was wonderful. I think if we had have chosen the 3 winery option we would have been equally happy. Great communication with reservation staff in the morning to confirm pick up location.

A very fun tour with Miguel, he has a great sense of humour and speaks English perfectly. He explained what we needed to know and drove us to the destinations expertly. The wine and port tastings were informative and interesting with quality products. The meal was also very good and the hosts entertaining and hospitable. Scenic boat ride was the highlight of a great day!

We took the three vineyard tour of the Douro valley with our tour guide, Hernan. We had a small group of eight and we had a delightful day, greatly helped by our knowledgeable guide, Hernan. Each of the vineyards was in a beautiful setting, offering its own experience of the wines, port and delicious food.

We had a great time with our tour guide / driver Diego on the full day tour of three Douro River valley vineyards. The van held 8 of us comfortably. The Douro Valley area is one of the most beautiful and tranquil places, and the tastings informative and interesting. Great day trip from Porto.

Our guide was Christobal from Chile - very friendly and well informed. The tour was very nice - 3 vineyards and nice time spending there with good wine.

We had an amazing experience visiting Douro Valley with eFun tours. I had been on a previous visit to Douro Valley with a different agency, which I had thought was pretty good, but this experience with eFun tours raised the bar to a different level. It felt like a much more personable experience, starting out by the fact that our group of 7 was picked up and accompanied by our very own tour guide André on a very nice van. André was amazing at making sure we all had a good time and explaining curiosities about the region. We very much enjoyed the Quintas we visited, and the guides there were really knowledgeable, we definitely felt like we learned a lot. It wasn t all about Port, we also tasted some great table wines from the Douro Valley region. We did the tour in Portuguese, since everyone but my boyfriend was a Portuguese-speaker. We were accommodated so well by the tour, though. André made sure to switch to English at times so my boyfriend could follow, and we were even allowed to tag along with the English-speaking group for a little bit. The tour I had done with a different agency in the past was all in English, and I felt like some things were left out because the guides had just memorized a script in English and couldn t really elaborate. The experience with eFun was very different, and I felt like everyone was very prepared to handle English-speaking tourists without a memorized, fixed speech. All in all, great tour that was enhanced by the amazing André! Obrigadíssima, amigo.

We had such a good time on the tour. The communication with the tour group was excellent. They gave really specific instructions about the meeting point, including pictures. Our driver Andres was so friendly. He gave us lots of advice about visiting Porto and was very knowledgeable about the places we were visiting. The visits to the different vineyards were perfect. Each place was unique and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Where we had the meal was particularly stunning. The food was OK, nothing to rave about, but we enjoyed the company, views and good wine. At the end of the tour, we were dropped back in Porto. We would highly recommend doing this tour while youre in Porto. It was a really fantastic experience.

My girlfriend and I booked the 9 hour Douro River Valley wine tour, visiting 3 vineyards and stopping at a local cafe while en route. Our guide, Ana Alves, was absolutely wonderful! She was so knowledgeable about Port wines, the Douro Valley region, and was friendly and very personable. We met Ana at our pick up location in Porto, and took a van with 2 other couples and enjoyed the mountain views. We sampled Port wine at 2 vineyards, enjoyed a delicious lunch overlooking mountain terraces, and then ended our tour tasting Portuguese table wines, local olive oil, and 3 types of honey. The trip was so worth it and Ana was a professional! Muito obrigado de Estados Unidos!

The first winery was great. However, our tour waited and picked up a guest that didn t speak English when it was an English speaking tour. So..at the second winery we had to listen while she had a different guide who spoke much louder than ours in the same room. Our guide wasn t very good at the second either and didn t give us any information as to what we were tasting at lunch. Then we had to join a different group and wait longer at the third while our guide drove her to catch a river cruise and then we had to wait to pick her up!! It was an incredible inconvenience for the entire group and quite frankly ruined the trip.

Excellent tour with Steve! He kept the humour and the facts coming and the conversation and wine flowing from winery to winery! The choice of wineries were exceptional. From one of the oldest in the area to one with a fully organic operation each one welcomed us with a warm reception and generous tastings. I have been on a few wine tours before and I actually learn something new again this time around. The scenery was unmatched, and the lunch provided like being invited to a first class wedding reception. If you are going to do a tour in the Douro Wine Valley, this is the one thing to choose!

Seven of us took a daylong tour of the Douro Valley w/ Andre. Hes a fun guide & listened when I said I got carsick on curves--he slowed down to help with that. Wonderful wines and ports, lovely vistas of grape terraces and the river far below. Andre filled us in on the history of this region and his love for Portugal is evident. Great tour that focuses on local production and you get to see some small businesses as well as larger companies.

The 3-hour Porto 10-port wine tasting was excellent. It was a great introduction to the area, allowing us to get oriented.

I took the Douro-Valley tour in September and it was my highligt in Porto. The tour is worth every penny - actually it is very cheap if you see what you get (Boat-Trip, Bus-Trip, Wine-Tasting, Honey-Tasting, 2 Port-Tastings, 3 course delicious menu). The tour was super well organised, super punctual and our tour guide Sarah was amazing. I went to several tours all around the world and also within Portugal (Lisbon, Porto, Winerys...). Apart from that I train people on rethorical speaking, so I can tell when people are good and entertaining presenters (and why/why not). Sarah is from Porto and knows everything - also information which is just known amongst Portuguese. She is extremly funny and charming and love her job. So you are very lucky to have her as your tour guide. History and traditions becomes lively and easy to understand. Sarah always has a smile on her face, even when replying to peoples super dumb questions e.g. which is the best Port Wine (as smart as - which is the best car in the world, most likely you will not get an Nobel-price therefore as it depends on your personal taste). I personally believe it is difficult to find a tour guide which is better than Sarah. Listening to her and enjoying the tour is a life-time-experience. Enjoy Douro-Vally, its wine, Ports and the amazing food). Apart from that the people in the Quinzas are amazing, they know there stuff inside-out and have so much passion about their job! The Lady was the biggest expert on Port which I met in Portugal and I been to 4 winerys. A must for every port-wine fan. PS: Only 1 small wish for improvement: Maybe - if timewise possible - allow people to take a panaramic photo of the Douro Valley (Unesco World Heritage Landscape!).

Paulo was an excellent guide to Bragda and Guimares, full of energy and knowledge. We saw so much in just one day and enjoyed it more than we enjoyed Porto. The included lunch was at an authentic local hole in the wall and was fun and excellent, with Paulo suggesting all kinds of dishes for us to share and making sure the included wine kept flowing. Ive had bad experiences with lunches during tours on my trip, one of which was paid separately and a total tourist ripoff with lousy food and high prices. This lunch experience was truly a memorable part of the tour. The tour was an excellent value for money and such a professional, enthusiastic guide, go with Paulo if you can.

Our tour guide was friendly, yet he couldnt answer many of the questions we or other group members had. Despite that, youll only get 9 different wines to taste (3 in each winery) and not 10 as proclaimed.

We had an absolutely fantastic day with André and eFun tours. He picked us up from our Airbnb in Porto. On the way to the vineyards he provided a nice background and history lesson and took us to get coffee in a very picturesque town. The tours, wine tastings, and lunch were fabulous. I cannot recommend enough if you want to spend a in the Duoro Valley!

I had a last minute mix-up with dates, which was entirely my fault. BUT - for a five star tour organizer, I would have loved more help with rescheduling or finding alternatives. EFun kept strictly to the terms of the contract and wasnt particularly friendly about it. This was in contract to everyone else we met in Portugal, who went above and beyond.

Wir haben eine Private Tour mit 4 Personen ins Duoro Tal gebucht. Vor dem Hotel wurden wir vom freundlichen Tour Guide abgeholt und ins Duoro Tal gefahren. Die Weinverkostung in einem Weingut war ganz nett. Jedoch wurden wir wie die Gruppen vor und nach uns abgefertigt. Die nächste Station war ein Weingut mit Mittagessen. Auch hier wurden wir wie andere dutzende Gruppen abgefertigt. Auch die Fahrt zum Duoro mit anschliessender Schiffsfahrt haben wir gemeinsam mit anderen Gruppen gemacht. Für eine Private Tour erwarten wir schon dass wir nicht nur in einem PKW zu den Stationen gefahren werden statt mit dem Bus. Man bucht ja eine Private Tour, damit man weg vom Touristen Rummel und abfertigung kommt. Den Mehrpreis von über 50,- pro Person, gegenüber dem Gruppenpreis, kann man sich sparen. Der Guide war nett. Gibt nichts zu bemängeln.

Fun day in Douro valley. Punctual pick up, comfortable van. Our guide for the day way Delfina, who had interesting stories and information to share about the region, was a great driver with a very nice playlist. She stopped at places to let us take photos and for bathroom breaks. The stops at the wineries were well organized, local and with experts to explain what we were tasting and answer any questions. The lunch was at a beautiful location with choice of pork, cod or vegetarian. Boat ride was in a traditional boat, enough space for everyone. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a day-tour and first introduction to the Douro valley.

Our guide Andre was great. Such a nice friendly guy and very knowledgeable. The Comms with efun could have been better and I would have preferred text messages rather than emails. The wineries were all good and the only drawback was the length of journey from Porto to the Douro valley. The boat trip was ok but once youve seen one vine covered slope, youve seen em all. Luckily we had great company in the minibus and the whole experience was positive

This was an excellent service--we took the day-long two-winery-plus-cruise tour of the Douro Valley. The guide was outstanding--very organized, very knowledgeable, very nice and fun. They arranged excellent winery tours and wine tastings, a great lunch, stops for breathtaking views in the countryside. Everything was on time, very smooth. Couldnt have been better. Highly recommended!

This was a fabulous trip made all the more special by our wonderful tour guide, Tiego, who kept us all entertained with interesting and amusing commentary along the way. The visits to the vineyards were great, lunch was fabulous and allowed us to converse and get to know the other travellers. The boat cruise was very nice, although incredibly hot (the whole day was a scorcher!). Special mention also to our brilliant coach driver, Lucas, some of the mountain roads were tricky! All in all a great trip and absolutely recommended.

Our first full day in northern Portugal was spent taking this tour of the Douro valley wine area & it was the perfect way to explore the ultimate Porto experience! The 1 hour road trip to the valley was just the beginning of an awesome day that included a lovely Douro river tour, a hosted lunch at a historic winery where we learned all about port (with tastings of course!) & another Quinta visit to the first certified organic winery in the region where we sampled whites, roses, reds, olive oil & organically flavored honey! And our tour guide, Fillipa, was the best!! She was so knowledgeable & gave us a lot of background information about the region & its winemaking history all along the way! Steve was wonderful, highly recommend this tour. The food and wine is high quality, guide was knowledgeable and attentive, the group wasnt too large and felt intimate.

Had a great trip with Fillipa, definitely worth it. Also, a good day off to rest your feet from walking around Porto. The wine was great, and meeting new people in the small tour group was also a great thing. 10/10 would do again.

Two tours were organised through this company while we were visiting the northern Portuguese town of Porto! Both trips were great which included a walking tour of Porto which our guide Maria made it a great 3 hours. She gave us a amble around seeing the sights of this eclectic city. The other tour was conducted with Living Tours who were fantastic which I will leave another review. This tour was a trip to Braga and Guimeres which I thought was a hotel pick up, but EFun didn t let us know until 23:00 the night before. The message wasn t received until the day of the trip which made things a little awkward, but Living Tours stepped up to the plate and we enjoyed a fantastic day. I am unsure whether EFun run their own tours or just sell them for others? Still they delivered on the tours paid, so can t fault that!!!

The Douro Valley wine tour is one of the best tours I ve ever taken! Our guide Andre could answer any questions that the wineries knew and everything was beautiful. Getting picked up and dropped off at our Airbnb also made things super convenient. Can t recommend them enough.

This tour was such a fantastic way to get out of Porto and see the countryside for a day! Steve was an incredible guide--full of knowledge (despite his protests that hes no wine expert, just a fan), happy to answer all questions, plus he had a great sense of humor. We spent an enjoyable day tasting wine and eating a delicious lunch while we learned about port and table wines. Would definitely do another tour with this company!

Our guide was Numo. He provided an excellent commentary throughout the tour, moving us around the city at a pace suitable for our age group. We never felt rushed. He was confident in answering any questions we put to him. The tour seemed to flow and moved in a logical sequence. In fact, on reflection although the time did go very quickly, I was surprised at the number of locations we had visited and how much ground we had covered. It was an enjoyable experience and we departed with far more knowledge of Porto than when we started. Finishing up on the river at the end of the tour was brilliant, providing us a spot to enjoy lunch overlooking the bridge and water, still buzzing from the mornings adventure.

This was an informative tour of Porto history. Enjoyed discovering the small streets and history of the older city. Be prepared to take in the steps. I would highly recommend it, a very good value.

Our one day tour of the Douro Valley from Porto was my favorite day of a week long trip to Portugal. The views were stunning and the wineries visited had fantastic wine as well as wonderful staff that made the day so fun. The lunch was delicious and the river cruise was beautiful. Don t miss this tour!

Really enjoyed a very private tour of the Douro Valley region. The wineries were amazing, lunch was delicious and the views were incredible. Andres was the best tour guide, very knowledgeable and I had a great time with him. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the area.

Had a great experience with EFun Tours - Douro Valley Tour with Visit to two Vineyards, River Cruise and Lunch at Winery! They were very professional in the booking process and very nice throughout our whole trip. Our Tour Guide was very accommodating and kept us in the loop on the whole trip. We went as a family of 4 and the tour guide picked us up right from our hotel. There were 4 other people who joined us (2 couples) but it was great to learn about each others cultures and mingle. Overall would recommend. We had a lot of wine and some great traditional Portuguese food for lunch and of course the espresso! The river cruise was also very scenic and worth it. We booked this tour very last minute (less than 24 hours before) and so glad we did!

We had a wonderful day with our tour guide Marcio, on a private tour of the Douro valley. He was extremely knowledgeable, personable and friendly, without being too intense and overbearing. Fantastic 2 winery tour with river cruise. We loved the Douro Valley and Steve, our tour guide, provided so much history of the region that really brought to life the uniqueness of this area. The wines and lunch were fantastic, outside overlooking a beautiful vineyard and tasting wines and a variety of ports. The 2nd tasting was also amazing trying so many different wines and honey. Thanks Steve for an amazing and fun day!

We had a great time with Steve as our driver. Steve was an excellent guide and imparted a lot of knowledge without overloading us. I appreciated that Steve was ready with I dont know but Ill find out as opposed to making something up. Selection of wineries was good, and we also enjoyed the food.

Out of an incredible five day visit to Porto, this wine tour was the highlight of the trip. Our guide Andre picked us up directly in front of our apartment and after we picked up the other tour participants we were off to Pinhao. The 90 minute drive to the heart of the Douro valley was broken up with a stop for coffee and pastries (excellent pasteis de nata) in a small cafe overlooking the river. Then, another 30 minutes and we were in Pinhao where our rabelo boat was waiting for us. The one hour cruise up river was beautiful. When we got back we hopped in the van again and headed up (and I do mean UP) into the hills to visit the Casa dos Barros winery where we had a delicious lunch and many tastings of both their white and red wines and a glass of tawny port. After lunch, we visited the wine cellars and learned about their wines. As an added bonus, we got to visit the house Ferdinand Magellan was born and raised in (right next door to the winery). Then it was back in the van and off to Quinta dos Castelares where we had a fantastic tour of their operation, tried some more wines and port and even sampled their own olive oil and honey. If you book this tour (and I hope you will), ask for Andre as your tour guide. As spectacular as the day was, he made it even better with his knowledge (used to work in a wine bar), historical facts, personality and sense of humor. All in all a great day out of the city. Amazing day not to be missed for wine lovers! We had a great time on our trip with a couple from Denmark and the Netherlands. Steve made it a great laugh and read the group really well who all wanted to have some fun and have a good drink. Although the tour was informative we felt Steve really tailored the tour based on our small group and everything from the lunch, boat trip coffee stop and winery visits was seemless other than a touch of rain but we got an extra glass whilst it died down!

A fantastic day guided round the Douro Valley. I cannot recommend this experience enough. Personable and funny, our guide Steve was the perfect travel companion and was very knowledgable both in the subject of wine and port and also the local history. I would say this tour was a must for anyone visiting the Porto area.

Andres was wonderful. Stopped several times for scenic photos and made sure we had the full experience at each winery. All his photos he took came out beautiful. The winery s were fantastic and he was an excellent guide through the douro valley. Highly recommend.

We had such a fun day seeing the Douro Valley. The tour was very well organized and executed. Our guide was very friendly, informative, and accomodating. We got to see a lot but it felt relaxed at the same time.

Nous avons passé une agréable journee avec notre guide Sarah. Nous avons appris énormément sur la vallée du Douro, mais aussi sur le Portugal. La journée fut une très belle expérience que je recommande.

5 of us went on a port wine tour in Douro Valley with another group of 3. Our driver, Steve, was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine, wineries and other random topics that came up. He was also very friendly and happy to take photos of our group and drop us wherever we wanted to go after the tour was over. Overall great experience and would definitely recommend.

Amazing day traveling the Douro Valley and visiting wineries! Steve, our very able guide and history professor, navigated the narrow mountain roads with skill & entertained the 8 of us the entire way. He was very accommodating (like when he had to pick up a purchase left at one of the wineries). And the wineries! Each one was very different and unique - first class and generous with their pours. Great lunch at the 2nd winery/resort. Even had barrel tastings!

We had a wonderful day, our guide drivng to Pinhao to catch a river boat for an hour cruise on the Douro with good information on wines, a wonderful 4 course lunch at a beautiful winery and restaurant, port tasting and then a lovely organic wine, honey and olive oil tasting and drive back to Porto.

Well what to say; had an amazing day with efun tours - specifically with Steve our tour guy and driver. We were a group of 8, really interesting people. They picked us up at our Airbnb and we had of to Douro Valley. The drive was pleasant and Steve was full of interesting and fun stories. He was quite a teacher as well, we learned a lot :D We visited three different wineries and a coffee place. At one of the wineries we had lunch which was quite tasty (also we could have choose between fish and meat). To sum up it was one of my top 5 travel activities ever!! Thank you Steve for a really FUN day :)))

Superbe tour en Renault ZE belle presentation de la cote du Douro en plus acces au coin classe historique (non acces au voiture ) pour ma part j ai fait le circuit de 2h30 (un peu mal au fesse) les siege son assez dure mais je le recommande a tout le monde ! 51 euros les 2h30 a deux personnes
