DO NOT TRUST. INCREDIBLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. They did not give us our deposit back, saying the wrong fuel was used, but they never provided any proof, technical report or how much it cost to “clean the tank”. They never responded to my emails about the case and were very rude when I went to the store, they did not care at all.
Terrible!!! You get ripped off from start to finish. Employees extremely incompetent and arrogant. Terrible service!!! Not recommended!!!
I never normally write a review but after this terrible experience I felt compelled to warn you all. Please never make the mistake of renting a car here in Viseu with drivalia!!!! The following happened to me: On Monday, April 9, 2024, I picked up my rented car as agreed. When I picked it up I was greeted very arrogantly. I didn't think anything of it, everyone can have a bad day. I rented the car and the contract clearly states that I have fully comprehensive insurance. Nevertheless, I still had to pay an additional 100 euros because they canceled additional insurance from Drivalia themselves so that my fully comprehensive insurance was valid. You will be ripped off straight away!!! When they showed me the car, I noticed that the tires were completely worn out and reported this to the employee. The employee laughed in my face and said one of the tires had already had a flat. I then asked whether this could become a problem. The employee said no. Since I had comprehensive insurance, I took the car and left. 2 days later I called Drivalia from Viseu and said the car would tell me that the air pressure in the tires was too low. The man on the phone was arrogant from the beginning of the call to the end. I tried to explain to him that the tires were completely worn out and that I had already reported it to my colleague when I picked him up. However, the employee didn't take me seriously. He even said to me on the phone: "If I can go get gas, I can also pump the tires." This is definitely not an answer you give a customer. In any case, 5 days after the phone call my tire burst. I called Drivalia and no one answered. After the car was towed away by the towing service I had no car. The next day I called Drivalia again and explained to them what happened. I was also spoken to in a very arrogant and unpleasant manner. They forced me to drive from my location to Viseu so that they could give me a new car, otherwise I wouldn't get a replacement car. Although it was a mistake by Drivalia Viseu and I often pointed out to them that the tires were completely worn out. I had nothing wrong with the new car they gave me. 1 week later after submitting it, I was shocked when I received an email from my bank saying that 400 euros had been debited from my deposit. Despite my fully comprehensive insurance and the extra insurance of 100 euros, Drivalia charged the full amount for the new tire that they installed in the garage. Because the tow truck and all the additional costs that Drivalia had, they deducted all of that from my 2500 euro deposit. I find that a complete disgrace. I wouldn't be taken seriously by the employees from start to finish. I had to make sure the car was drivable myself. I feel ripped off. Drivalia rips you off from start to finish. Despite having fully comprehensive insurance, you have to pay for a burst tire and a towing service!!!! Where and in which world is this the case?? And I pointed out to Drivalia several times that the tires were completely worn out!!!!! Please don't make the mistake of renting a car here and risk being ripped off like I did.
